Description
For a while, I had thought that I could finally start "finalizing" character designs for my original story Time_Less . Here is the second set. Here is a [link] to the first.These were intended to be drawn quickly... but then I started getting picky.. VERY picky on various things. While some aspects could use an improvement and corrections... I don't have the leisure to do so since I want to get as many characters drawn out as possible.
Also, most were posted in my blog beforehand.
Crea is the protagonist in her story but crosses paths with the story Charity and Harmonia are in.
Charity and Harmonia shares the same story~
Jikan and Aiyami shares the story after the above.
Charity Vell Valayno: (06/18/10) This is the first time I've finalized her design and color palette. I gave her green hues (uhh.. seafoam green) as her main color because I recall having few to no characters being dressed in green.
Aiyami: (07/30/10) She turned out to be a little more difficult than expected. However, her color palette remains the "same." Somehow, her appearance reminds me of an alchemist..
Harmonia: (08/16/10) Wow.. I knew Harmonia would be associated with sunflowers and stuff, but I hadn't expected this combination. Regardless, I like her color scheme and design (although, it's a bit complex). Somehow, she became one of the taller characters in the series. AND I drew her (unreferenced lol) bow that is currently taking up a lot of white space. Sorry ;;.
Crea: (08/19/10) Woow.. after making her in 2005 (I think), I never drew her regular design. Instead, I would draw her in her alternative design. I'm not sure sure what her shawl does.. but perhaps she can make use of the runes written on it to cast spells or something. Not many people can just the shawl in that way though.
Jikan: (8/20/10) Uhh Jikan was actually first drawn before Aiyami on 06/19/10.. but her design bugged me for some reason. It wasn't until today that I decided to redo half of her design and opted for a cloak to cover her shoulders because my repairs weren't going so well haha.
I could write more... but it would come out pretty long.
Well, now that the primary female side is finished~ yaay!
I can finally start on the male side and they're about the same number of females I've drawn so far orz.

It feels like it's been so long since you posted any Time_Less pictures so it's really nice to see all the new designs. Love them all, gah, my inner cosplayer wants to do Jikan's outfit so badly but I'm just too busy now.

And it has been a while since I've made Time_Less pictures~ I'm still concentrating on getting the rest of the profile images done (now working on the male side) but once that's done, I can resume working on regular illustrations~

ahh thank you! >w< I focused more on coordinating color schemes this time because I noticed that some of my random schemes aren't very pleasing to look at after a while haha~ and I'm glad I was able to vary my outfit designs slightly. Otherwise, most of them still has some element that gets recycled such as collars and ribbons. xD;

Haha, after I finished drawing all these.. I noticed that there's some patterns on how they dress like ribbons, collars, etc. It's not bad, but it makes me feel like I wasn't very creative lol.

At the very least, these characters take part in different stories so they aren't together at the same time (therefore making the patterns unnoticeable unless the viewer has a keen eye for connecting things).
I admit that the consistency is going to help me. xD
I think the trouble with Jikan's previous design was that some of it wasn't consistent with some of the common elements. It also didn't help that it turns out that it was kind of cumbersome to draw too.. but that's another story haha. xD;
And I hope to talk to you on AIM one day~~ I think I have a good 'test' VN model and I'd like to discuss it with you ;u;

That makes sense, then. :3 They do seem connected in a way, though.
Consistency is probably the most important thing in character design- if your characters don't stay consistent, then it's hard to recognize them. That's why I just say all of my characters are works in progress. XD

.. that's good to hear! oAo that means that the revisions I did to the plot line that has nearly everyone connected gets strengthened thanks to the designs I made for them.
Before this project.. I think only 1-2 had a complete design (including colors). The rest didn't have anything to work with which is kind of bad since the story was still "under development" for so long already.
Plus.. I'm going to look forward to fanart/giftart/etc someday and having references is a must for that to happen. xD

It's alright, just take your time- as long as you happy with them upon completion, you should work on them as long as you want. :3
