T-T I need new friends. They all have kids and I don't do well with kids. I just want friends I can go out with, get a bunch of junk food, go home and watch anime or something like that.

The problem is that we're near our expiration date.
I told this to one of my friends, that everyone around me (she's included) is together with someone, thinking about marrying or with a date already set, while I'm still single and I feel left out sometimes, since the 'couples' want to take vacations only with other 'couples'.
She told me that sometimes being single is better.

Yes we are near our expiration date. I think that's 26 for me. Oh there are no couples, they are single mothers who constantly complain about their children's fathers and, worse, their children. Right in front of these kids. They're little, but come on. They may not know the words, but they know the different between someone being kind to someone being cruel. Like last night, she just kept screaming at her kids and calling them names and her youngest can't even talk yet! It's better to just slowly cut them off and seek out new friends. Hopefully if I can get to the anime convention, I can find more people like me and make some friends who just want to sit around, eat, and watch anime. Is that a lot to ask?

Is single mothers a common sight where you live? Here it's pretty rare... I mean, Italy still lives in the assumption that if you cause a pregnancy, you marry the girl. Of course, there are those who just run away, but generally they go together and try to make it work.
Then you get a generation of divorced 40 yo with 20 yo sons and daughters, but if there are young children involved it's not very usual to see mothers alone.

...It's gotten to the point that it's so common that's it's on TV. All. The. Time. Google "The Maury Show" and you'll see a lot of...awkward arguments about paternity. I don't even bother looking at a woman's hand for a ring. I can tell if they're a single mother just by looking at her face.
Oh here there are times when they do marry, but others decide to wait, even though the kid is there. I don't think my friends with kids have ever been married and one of them...their apartment is always filthy with strange smells. I need more...mature friends. They're not bad people, they're just irresponsible and they call me uncool because I don't drink or smoke whatever is offered to me. Some people are ready for kids, others aren't. They weren't, but they tried anyway. I just...need more adults in my life, not teenaged acting adults.
