Yiss, I've been obsessed with them lately. Only I own a plant that already hogs all my time and love.

It managed to survive the vase change about six months ago, so I have high hopes for it. Still, it's getting big very quickly so I need to figure out if it will survive in an actual garden or not. It's a tropical and I'm afraid the winter would kill it.

It was the first one I got and I didn't know mush about it... So I read about them on the net. Β It said to put them in a pot that have holes so water can go at the bottom if needed. To water them it saw to put the pot in an bowl full of water for several hose... Let just say I put mine in the bowl for too long and it gotΒ moldy.
Mmmm, yeah... Winter probably would kill it. It all depend on how cold it get also.

Haha, my first succulent (which I killed by repotting) went just fine with a shower of water once every three weeks or so and then left on the rack to drip the excess water. I've never heard of this 'putting the pot in water' method.

With that method, it the earth that 'drink' the water. So it goes form bottom of the pot to top of the pot.

Yes, but if the roots are too deep in the water they're going to rot... Or not? Unless you're a water plant.

they say you should only let it in the pot only for a few hours and then you let it dry somewhere...
I have no idea if its the good way to go with them and I only did that once and kill my plant.

Wow. Haha, my current one seems to do nicely so... I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.
