Gotta admit that I like hurt/comfort better than just plain romance, it kinda gives stories a better feeling and makes the reading more interesting, don't you think?

But there's a difference between physical hurt and emotional hurt (angst) too. My personal preference is the physical hurt, because it inevitably brings angst, while angst doesn't necessarily mean that someone is physically harmed.

Yeah I think the angst is a very important on a story, mainly because real life isn't a fairy tale. About physical hurt... Uhm, I guess you're right about it. Angst only brings physical harm if the character is extremely emo
But more than just hurting random characters, there must be and especific scenario or situation required for the angst act correctly. Well, that's just what I think ^^

Emo is ok if they were emo also BEFORE the whole angst situation. Not like emo-way-of-life, but for example: guy1 leaves guy2, guy2 is depressed, guy1 finds another boyfriend, guy2 is more depressed, insert angst situation (a death? another disappointment?), guy2 tries suicide.
Of course, it's not going to end that guy1 suddenly drops boyfriend and runs to guy2 to save him with the Healing Power of Cock... A bit more angst, then a slow, tentative friendship that may or maybe not go back to luuuurve.
But who cares about plausible plots nowadays. =/

Awkward friendships and occasional (and most of the time accidental and/or unwanted) 1-night stands make good plot to me ^^ The angst is good but I personally prefer stories that can lighten the mood easily ^^ If the angst is constant I get kinda depressed =o=" If a story can make me laugh and the next second make me bite my nails on suspense, make me cry and then make me laugh again, then is a good story to me

I had one and a half chapter written down about them... Soul Society won the war and arranged marriages for Ulquiorra (who chose Orihime) and Grimmjow (who chose Ichigo, out of five other 'candidates') to strenghten their bond to SS. I only got to the first part of the candidates' selection, though.
