not sure what the inspiration was....
but if it means anything to you i thought i would tell you that this reminds me exactly of an add inside an australian gothic mag called fiend, not sure what brand the clothing was, but the slogan was 'clothing for the unafraid' and they made some excellent dresses and corsettes etc./

Together with the date that it was published. And if you can't, thank it's ok too. If it was published after this illustration of mine there's that little probability that they kinda er... Got inspired with this one :/ What I wouldn't really find ok of course.

This is incredably beautiful and DREADFULLY inspirational. I just had such a kick of inspiration after seeing this. You did such a lovely and stunning job I'm almost breathless, really. The colors are stunning and ghostlike. I especially love her dress, the vines, and the wallpaper..and her hair..I love it all! Amazing job.

Very dark, and a little sad. I like the neutral brown for the background, good choice. Love her hair!
But here's why I'm really commenting (though it is very very stunning). I'm doing an assignment in English on Images of Women, and I think I've just found how I envision one of the characters I'm supposed to be writing about/finding a picture of. I don't suppose I'd be able to use this pic in my assignment, properly credited, of course?
