Eh~~ Kinda felt like doing something in illustrator..And since I feel a bit down lately eventually it turned out a little grim..

It reminds me of a darker side of Clamp-esque artwork. I like the transitory and calmness in this piece provided by the bird like figures and all the swirls. I do think you could do without the slight shadowing that you added on the lips and hairline (close to the ear) though because I think it distracts from the hardness of the overall lines of the composition created by the simple black and white. Granted it does provide a focal point... so I guess it's just what you're after.

I, myself would left the whole picture B&W, but yes, I agree it needs a little warmth...
Maybe adding a little more detail here and there ( her wings, her hair, her dress and the birds ) but in the same, light, manner you used on her face, could give a whole lotta energy to it...
But that's just an idea to experiment with...
As I've said the B&W is more than fine with me, and this gorgeus little piece of art simply has to go to my favs...
