My try for the shape challenge.I tried (badly) to create voumes with greys following this great tutorial: [link]
of course I suck at rendering realistic volumes but I'm working on it XD
It was total fun. Try it!

I think you got pretty good results with it. I only think Sam Nielson uses less saturated grays, he keeps them all in a range of midgrays, but it's ok since Sam Nielson is a master and we are in our first times with his technique. Congrats Karla!

lol, I love doing these! yours are great! I dunno why, but I love your black and whites the most! not to say your colors are bad, cause they are good too! the black and whites just really have an awesome feel to them!

yeah, I totally kill the shapes with the colorizing process XD (I honestly was a bit lost because I never do it that way)

you didnt kill them, they were still great and far beyond anything I could do colored! I just love how you handled the shading in the B&W version better, it just really looks awesome
