I'm not familiar with that use of "dig"! Sorry! Me no speaky good Ingles sometimes... I'm serious though, I don't really know what it means here! I'm thinking "Was that an attack on Bob Ross?" but it sounds wrong. I just watched a whole dvd of the man last night. The basic stuff, and it was GOOOD. So good it takes three O's.

Ahhhh ok I read you wrong, I thought you were bashing the master himself...I must admit, I used to watch his shows when my Grandma used to babysit me as a kid. The man just makes you feel good after he's done, like all the anger and hurt in the world has just been tucked away with those happy little trees and that bit of titanium white or cadmium yellow 
Then we would watch Sister Wendy...dang she's good too...nothing like watching art critiques done by a nun that looks like a bunny!

I'm yet to discover sister Wendy though! Being Swiss, we don't have those cultural icons over here, I'm discovering them through YouTube and dvd's

Oh yeah Sister Wendy isn't extremely popular over here in the US, but I stumbled across her and she's really quite entertaining if you're a classical art lover.

Honestly I learned more about painting from a few videos of his than from anything I learned in school

I don't doubt it! I watched a whole series of old tapes one Summer, about drawing, painting and all, and despite the fact that there were tons of these tapes, I don't remember jack from them. I learned nothing at all! Not so with Mr. Ross. Plus he makes me happy being how he is. He's a soul-lifter, this man.
