Had sort of an art block during the break in between semesters. However, I will be going back to college later this month.

Anyway, during this block, I was watching some of those old Hanna Barbara, teen mystery solving cartoons from the 70s( i. e. Scooby Doo, Josie & The Pussycats, Speed Buggy, etc.) that I've really enjoyed as a kid, more so than their other cartoons. I've got so inspired to do some sketches because I really like the designs of the characters and their 70s attire, especially the females. This is June, an off-beat teen with a love for mystery solving. I've tried going for bright, bold, in your-face colors with a blue striped skirt and red t-strap, mary janes, to match her expressive personality. She's actually wearing red tinted bifocals. Sort of looks like the love child of Velma (Scooby Doo) and Alan Chan (Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan). Very creepy indeed, but I like it.

Plus Boo the Cat from The Funky Phantom makes a cameo, because I love that cartoon and she would make a good fit. Though she is not part of any fandom, I just like putting random things in. I'm thinking about drawing up a good hearted parody with Jazzy sometime.
