I have seen those faces drawn way too many times, and i was really confused as to why good artists can't see the error @__@;;;I'm may not posses the knowledge of flawless anatomy but some things are just so obvious that it makes me facepalm. So i made this. Because it was driving me insane.
This mistake is pretty damn common, so i figured anyone who haven't drawn it yet, or have and don't know why it looks stupid to look at this small guide and avoid some mistakes.
I know if you're anything like me, when you can't figure out how something looks like you'll go into other 'anime' artists page and learn from them. You won't look at actual human anatomy... which is shameful @__@;; But real people don't always look the way i want them to ahahaha XD;
Aaaaaaah.... yeah i feel much better now.

Every art style is different and some people's styles may work better in their faces that way.
Just seems this tutorial is angry themed more then help.

There's a difference between basic anatomy and style though o_o Learn the rules before you break them.

the final (and correct) forms are so true!!! but they are so real for the anime!! I usually do the "now its looks human" XD

heheh forgot to add that the ears should always be placed below the "eye line" which is something i tend to notice people do too...i mean really if you look at a pic like that and see the ears above the eye line it just looks so wrong...

On another note, thank you so much for the tutoral!!! I ALWAYS have a hard time trying to go from image to paper and I've always wanted to know how to draw that angle correctly (I always drew it lyk the way ur not supposed to and knew that it wasn't right but I couldnt figure out how to draw it correctly so i just didnt draw faces lyk that. lol XP ) so once again, thank you!! ><

Yeah it's a stupid difficult angle .__. it's really awkward and i hate it when i draw something and cant figure out why it looks wrong XD;

I think the chin/neck part is what the confusing part is for most people. I know if I tried to draw that angle that would be the part that gets me. OTL

I would have trouble drawing the rest of the body from this angle too, actually;;; the shoulders Q__Q

I suppose it depends on the pose... if the whole body is viewed from below then it gets tricky, but if the head is just looking up then it's easier because the only thing that is different from the usual way that you would draw the body is just the facial angle. But yeah, perspective is an asshole.
