Yes, everybody knows I care very little about these two xD. This is Annemarie's fave pairing and I wanted to draw something to thank her... and this weird, kind of Barbara Cartland-esque thing came out. I love period clothing, it's just I suck at drawing it, and I'm not sure the charas look like they should. I was just imagining this scene where she is like some Austen heroine that doesn't belong in that gentleman's world. Or something... here you can see how Karo can't translate the stories in her head into drawings because she can't draw to save her life xDOrihime, Ulquiorra are from Bleach (c) Kubo Tite

Well, like I said in the pic's comments, I was thinking of something along the lines of Barbara Cartland's period novels, or some Austenesque setting, so I got it right xDDDD. I'm really glad you liked it, thanks for your comment ^__^

Anyway, I believe you did pretty well. Although at first I thought it was a Bleach version of Beauty and the Beast because of their clothing. And there was something I noticed taking a closer glance. Her breast proportions. The left one looks bigger than the right. Really. (Left to me I mean) I don't know if it's because of the way she's standing, since it does seem she's slightly turning. JUST slightly. But enough of her chest. I just love the natural shading you've done with their skin and clothing. Makes it seem something you'd see in an art gallery done with paint. Only anime/manga style. And the hair, brilliant. Most people don't get too detailed with hair. But you decided to go further than most (example me since I suck at it....back to you) and show where it's all..."flowing", if that's the right word. Instead of one big colored "blob".
Hmm....I think I'll stop there or I'll start rambling. I will say one more thing though. The stock photo made by Elandra is lovely and suits your drawing perfectly. ^^

LOL, I haven't read/watched Bleach for the last three years, but I still get most news from the rabid fans waiting for Ichigo to get to Super Saiyajin level 9000 xD. I've never been a fan of Orihime, most of the time I wanted to bitchslap her, and stopped reading the manga right before Ulqui The Emo Butterfly appeared. But I have seen many fanarts of this couple, and I found them so aesthetically pleasing... plus I owed Annemarie, who loves them to pieces, no matter if he's dead xD.
You're right in all counts!! Me + proportions + perspective = not friends. But I wanted her to look like she's turning to face him, and if you got that impression, I'm satisfied... though yes, that boob and its corresponding shoulder look bigger and weird, respectively xD. Thanks for your kind comment!! Not many people stop and take the time to really put their two cents and honest critique in any drawing, much less in my humble attempts at art. And the background really suits, but my excuse is I can't draw a bg to save my life... but shush, don't tell anybody xD

He's a butterfly for me. Maybe because of the whole emo thing he has going on, and I don't know anything about his story, this was just klooking at him, mind you. He looked sooooooo emo butterfly xD
