Really dig the way you did this. Maintaining that grin throughout the transformation, and the symmetry of the mid-way mark combining both of the eyes. The stain that one could reasonably assume could be blood mostly over his human side; Perhaps to say that his human side is dying being slain by his feral half. Despite his fangs as a wolf, the vibe that he gives off is less hungry and more of a "Oh look, a toy!" or "You think you've bested me hmmm?". The middle stage feels as though his face is growing downward and not so much outward, to me at least, maybe that is intended. The way his eyes are solid white in the wolf form could mean that he is blind to all else but his instinct, which plays really nicely in to the theme of werewolves indeed.
