Description
I was thinking of what she might look like after graduating from high school. Remembering her winning dance animation, I wanted to give her pose that looks like she could be dancing or fighting at the same time. Thought she would fit in something sort of sporty yet stylish and tried also to keep her colour scheme similar.I added a little more depth to her belt which was just black in what I submitted to the contest.
I realized after painting, that her thighs are way too long. I really should have caught that during the sketch phase. Ah well.

Wow how did I miss this?! Love the outfit. And you kept it in style with SF4 mark. Funny though I made her to be the gym teacher to Mel's and Rock's school from seeing this manga page a while back. She was wearing a sport jacket, biker shorts, with her bandana and fighting gloves.

Nice work, like the redesign much needed update. School girl look has its charm, but how many times do you have to explain to the teacher that a yoga flame keeps burning the edge of your skrit. LOL

I really like this redesign. I hope you don't mind me saying, but this puts me in the mind of her following after Kyo from KoF instead of Ryu. Maybe that is just a silly thought. Keep up the good work!

what's your "method"?? i see your thumbs in your concept sketches and i suppose that you draw structure (the arms like cylinders, heads like spheres...) -- i mean, why did you do the thighs so long? (anyway it's awesome, but if i'd do that it would be hooooooorrible!) hehe -- cheers man

I saw this in the comp. I really liked it and kind of hoped you'd won as you're one of the few that really addressed the criteria well.
I entered my Ryu piece but hardly changed his design... Mine was kind of boring anyway.
