Description
I originally did this as a self project but upon finishing, I noticed that there was a SF redesign contest at dontpanic.com. I'll post the final laters.Description: I was thinking of what she might look like after graduating from high school. Remembering her winning dance animation, I wanted to give her pose that looks like she could be dancing or fighting at the same time. Thought she would fit in something sort of sporty yet stylish and tried also to keep her colour scheme similar.

i don't think she is sakura, she look more like Yuri in KOF than sahura.
If i select the pose it should be middle page 4 pose[left to right]. that look more sakura.

DUDE is the contest over?!?!?! i wanna get down! nevertheless, your designs are sweet as hell. i especially dig the bottom right one. it seems that outfit fits her character more than some of the other elaborately designed ones.

I like the one on the far right in the line up, the right one in the middle of the pg and both the bottom ones are great but I like the very right bottom one more.
Basically I like all the ones on the right.
Her design looks good being symmetric. I know you already have her scarf and shoes in there but what if you incorporate some more of her older costume elements like her scarf. I just think she doesn't look enough like Sakura without more similar elements of the other costume. Might be different if I saw the color scheme.

But that would imply that Capcom actually made their characters grow. And we all know how they can't stand actual character development in their games.

They aged up Ken and Ryu a bit for SF 3 as well. People tend not to like change so much, especially with their favorite characters.

Yeah, I know, but I figure if you're going to do it for some characters, you should do it for all of them. Like Tekken...well, with most of Tekken's characters anyway. It's not like Sakura was in suspended animation like Nina and Anna supposedly were between Tekken 2 and 3.
Growth can be a good thing...then again SF4 sold well so I guess complaints like mine fall on deaf ears.

I hear ya, even played around with Sakura's design a bit. Thanks to downloadable content, there's always a chance to see a skin of an older Sakura.

Oh yeah...did you choose to pay for that? Because that was a turn-off for me, quite frankly; making owners of the game pay to download something that other fighting games have been making unlockable for years. I never actually saw the extra costumes in SF4.

Nope don't either console and you are quite right about that. I've seen a few of them, some of them are okay. Seen more interesting designs on like Kasai. That would have been a cool contest for Capcom to do.

they'll make certain characters mature, and others not. chunli's matured in their alpha to sf3 time line.
