Can we all just appreciate how well the lighting here is used to aid with the storytelling? The sun shines behind Lizzy like she's some sort of holy being ready to help anyone in need out of pure selflessness while the lighting in Bolt's panels isn't light or dark because of how unsure he is of his morals. Fantastic and creative to use lighting in such a way; well done Kas!~
Also, that comment about an empath really has me thinking on if this world is somewhat like that of a superhero's with everyone (or at the very least influential/important characters) have their own powers or abilities unique to them that they use to aid in their everyday life. We've seen hints of this when Ynnej tripped Bolt over with her fancy wind in chapter 1 and Lizzy when she put her paw over Glitchy's head to see what was wrong in chapter 2. In both cases, their eyes glowed and were different colors so already there's a great basis for all sorts of theories on the islanders' abilities and world lore in general. I can't wait to learn more!

Agreed, a great thing about lighting and shading is that it can make you feel the emotions the characters would feel in a page/panel. For example if you use dull colors for panels where the character is in an emotional wreck or that their completely shattered, it gives off a heartbreaking emotion.
The powers chosen for the character's personality helps make them more realistic, that honestly opens a lot of possibilities of abilities which is great not only for the character but helps alot with world buildup.
