It was a cold night, one that Jirohei knew all too well.
For almost a 2 years, Jirohei had wandered many lands, even crossed oceans with the one goal that burned through his body like a roaring flame.

Avenge his fathers death.

Killed by a monstrous dog right in front of the Kai mix when only a pup, the incident had haunted Jirohei ever since then. After that, the pup ran away from home, not to return until his Father's killer was found. Jirohei wanted nothing more than to rip the throat out of the beast that killed his beloved Father...Kaito, the leader of Hokkaido.

Even a Father figure in his packs eyes, he was one that treated everyone as family, even if not related by blood. He was kind and brave, with a sense of justice that could make full grown males cry.

Jirohei opened his eyes and looked up at the night sky filled with glittering stars. A frown was on his face as he glanced over at the spotted brown heap of fur that lay motionless only a foot or 2 away, face buried in the grass. Silently, Jirohei stood up and began to move away from the small dog, head hung low as he walked blindly quite a ways from his "traveling companion." He then sat back down again in the grass, eyes unmoving. Jirohei let out a weary sigh. This hunt was taking a lot out of the young male.

This female that was following Jirohei around was starting to become a bother. Sure, he had agreed in helping her-but he had gotten so tied up in helping the female find her pack that the real goal of why he was out here was being pushed back. He did not know it would take this long. His ambition was starting to fade. Finding his Fathers murderer was always what was always on his mind, the only thing he thought of when he got up and when he went to sleep. But this female had turned him all the way around and he was starting to loose sight of his goal.

Today was the anniversary of his fathers death.

Jirohei was absolutely miserable. He was usually a strong male, who would not let his emotions show, especially crying in front of other dogs. He was too proud for that. This is why he decided in solitude of night he would let out his sorrows.

Jirohei looked up into the sky, staring at it for a few moments he began.

"Father," Jirohei choked out, "I have failed you...I am sorry-" He whined, closing his eyes tightly, his body started to tremble.

"I let you die-" Teeth clenched, he started to feel tears stream down his cheeks.

"I AM SO SORRY I COULDN'T SAVE YOU FATHER! IF ONLY...I was strong enough...If I had not gotten in the way, you would still be alive!" Jirohei cried, his chest began to ache as he sobbed. "I am sorry FATHER! I am so sorry..." He almost barked out. Jirohei continued to cry, his body ached so bad in wanting to howl for his lost Father, but he knew he couldn't. Kasara would awaken and then see how weak he really was...how he was not a real male...

"I should not have let this happen Father," he continued to cry, "I should have not let things change..."

"Oh how I have failed you Father."
