Description

"Don't push it Reeves-they are still around here."

"Ah come on Seth, what's the point of living if I can't have a little fun with them? I know the Hunger Games is serious business and stuff, but I get bored just waiting for that "special-someone" to cut my throat...ya know?"

"No. Unlike you, I am not a friggin' lunatic with a death wish Reeves."

Tried to upload this last night, but my computer failed me. I think it's dying, soooo if I go missing for awhile, its because my computer is dead

I bet some of you are horribly confused as to why Aiden is now in District 4 instead of District 12 like in this picture [link] (which I have changed now xDD) He just fit better into this District

Aiden went through a lot of titles until I could decide which one to use XDD Those included, "The Lost, The Hope, The Fisherman, The Rebel, The Brave, The Hero, etc." Fighter I decided to go with because...well, he is a fighter to be able to live through the Hunger Games Aiden takes things too lightly sometimes XDD

And I attached the two brother drawings~! [link]

"Oh-I'm sorry!" Aiden's eyes met hers for a brief second before he looked away, still a bit tense, he shifted the branches, leaning them up against the rock. For the past couple hours, he was so afraid that the male Tribute would come back looking for Seth, so was really on edge. Aiden backed off and sat up a little, looking to Seth once more. For some reason, he felt a bit apprehensive with Fina around and usually, it was the opposite. His fingers tapped against his blade nervously, before asking, "Sooo....what took you?" He kept glancing up at her, but only for a couple seconds at a time, before he finally noticed a cut on Fina.

"Where did you get that?" Aiden squeaked, wide eyed as his brow wrinkled in worry.

((Oh by the way, do you know our roleplay so far for just this one is about 23+ pages long? ))

"I-Its nothing...I fell and..a branch got me..."

Fina was always a terrible liar. Especially to Aiden. She hoped that he wouldn't pick up on it and ask for the truth. He most likely would though...

"I'm sorry about taking so long but...i can guard him now. You look like you're going to pass out as it is."

It was his eyes that gave him away. Every time, all the answers she needed were in those green orbs. She stole a glance and could tell that he was dead-dog tired, but there was another emotion in there. Apprehension? She lowered her eyes from him, the shame of what he witnessed her do, tearing her heart in two. The way he barely looked at her. Barely spoke to her. He even seemed...nervous around her.

Fina forced down the lump in her throat with a loud gulp, along with the fresh tears threatening to force their way up. She wanted so badly to apologize. To reverse what she had done.

"He'll never forgive me..."

She said to herself, scraping the plants in between the stones. After a few minutes, small clear drops began to fall on her hands. First, one. Then, another. And, another. She reached up to her chest and clutched her shirt with a talon grip, as if she could somehow make the pain go away.

"Aiden...I'm sorry....I'm so sorry...", she choked, not baring to look at him.

"That...That wasn't me...I...I'm sorry.."

She clenched her eyes shut, tears beginning to stream down her face. She would rather have Aiden beat her physically in rage than ever be afraid of her. She tried in vain to stop the tears, but it was futile. Curse these Games. She didn't want this. Not for them. Not for Aiden OR Seth.

"I...Don't want this Game to change me...to change us....please forgive me Aiden...I'm so sorry."

(( HOLY CRAP!! Seriously?! O.o I didn't even think about it! That means its good then i suppose >D ))

"I-Its nothing...I fell and..a branch got me..."

Aiden starred blankly at her for a long minute before turning his gaze back to Seth, removing more of the foliage off his body.

'The cut looked clean and smooth, not ragged and torn like from a tree branch,' he noted. But Aiden decided not to pry, seeing that Fina was clearly trying her best to hide that she was lying. In all honesty, he was afraid to find out how she got it.

"I'm sorry about taking so long but...I can guard him now. You look like you're going to pass out as it is."

"Thanks Fina...but I am going to stay right here," Aiden said flatly, brushing the dust off Seth's jacket's he had gathered,"It's my fault he's like this, I am the one that needs to look out for him now, you understand...right?"

There was silence.

Aiden lifted his tired eyes to look up at her, he was caught off guard when he saw her face was wet with tears. His lips parted, his green eyes starred at her in a curious way, now troubled that she was now crying. He sunk back a bit, not knowing how to react to her sudden weeping.

Well. This was definitely unexpected.

"Aiden...I'm sorry....I'm so sorry...", she choked, not daring to look at him.

"That...That wasn't me...I...I'm sorry.."

"I...Don't want this Game to change me...to change us....please forgive me Aiden...I'm so sorry.

"Fina..." Aiden faltered, reaching out his hand, he stopped mid-way, thinking twice before touching her shoulder. He drew his hand back and clenched it, looking at in shame, a guilty feeling sat at the pit of his stomach. He felt horrible.

Fina was one of his best friends!

How could he not forgive her?

But he just couldn't forget about what happened. It haunted the darkest corners of his mind like the monster in the closet. No matter how much he wanted to forgive and forget, it sat there...waiting; a fear of what Fina was capable of doing do others.

This was going to take some time before he can fully trust her again.

Everything lately was just going wrong with the three. First Seth and now Fina.

So many emotions...he just couldn't handle it anymore.

Aiden sighed, getting to his feet, he proceeded to leave the camp.

"I will be right back...I need to get some more water..." Aiden said lightly, his words trailed off as he left Fina there with Seth.

((YES!! At the rate, we are going to have our own book !!!))

Fina listened to Aiden leave with a heavy heart, not even having the strength to watch him leave. She didn't try to stop him. He needed to be alone. She continued to crush the herbs and build a very small fire in the process, putting some Yarrow and peppermint inside her cantine and letting it hang over the flame.

"Please come back to us Seth...You'd know what to say wouldn't you?..."

She felt stupid for talking to someone who probably couldn't hear her, but it made her feel a tiny bit better. After finally crushing the plants to her liking she took off Seth's make-shift bandages, her face scowling as she was reminded of just how badly he was injured. She gently began to wash out the worst of his gashes, taking the now boiling cantine off the fire to cool.

"You would probably tell us to suck it up, wouldn't you?..."

She talked to him as she pasted the crushed Yarrow on his wounds, trying to keep her mind off of the emotions swirling in her head. She finally finished and breathed out a heavy sigh, looking up at the large canopy above.

"I always love the forest....but not like this..."

She looked back down at Seth and grabbed the cantine, testing it temperature with a quick taste.

"Doesn't taste terrible i guess."

She gently cradled Seth is one arm and put the cantine to his mouth, pouring only a little at a time onto his parched lips and into his mouth.

"Come on Seth...You're one of the toughest people i know. Fight!..."

She sighed once again, letting her face drop ton look at the gashes.

"We need you..."

Aiden stepped out of the brush, holding his head in his palm as he walked towards where the river was located. His head pounded, the blonde bumped his shoulder into the side of a tree, it's bark snagged his upper arm as he did so. He barely reacted to it and kept walking, listening for the sound of rushing water.

He could hear it, not too far away, but it would still take some time for him to walk there at the pace he was moving at.

He dragged his feet across the ground, barely picking them up as he walked. His right foot caught onto a small stone that jutted out from the ground, making him trip and fall to the ground. He lay there in the dirt, not bothering to pick himself up out of it.

Sometimes he wished that it would all be over, so he didn't have to suffer through all this heart ache he was feeling. He was not used to this much drama. The way he had been acting though lately...he was being way too careless. He would end up being killed soon if he kept it up.

Maybe if he was lucky, another Tribute would find him while he was out here-

He shook his head agressively, banishing the thought from his mind as he pulled himself up into a sitting position by the water. He drew his muddied knees close to his chest and drapped his arm on top of them, resting his chin just behind his scratched up forearm.

Seth would be horribly disappointed in him if he heard him think like that, as well as Fina.

Seth would most likely even beat him to a pulp-

That is, if he wasn't dying right now.

Aiden heaved a weary sigh, staring out into the distance, his metal cantine clanked against the ground as he shifted his weight.

He usually was the carefree, happy one that everyone would look to for a joke or to lighten the mood if things grew bleak.

But with him being afraid of Fina now and Seth in critical condition because of him...

He no longer felt like himself. There was nothing to smile or laugh about at all. Now he sort of understood why Seth was always so stone-faced.

And it was all this stupid Hunger Games fault.

Everything they did would be for nothing in the long run.

Only one Tribute could survive and go home.

And the rest would be forgotten about and replaced with a new set of kids to die as well next year.

It was growing dark, but Aiden didn't have any strength to move, to tired, mentally and physically; the whites of his eyes were red from crying so much that day. He didn't even bother to make sure that he was safe from those out hunting for him.

So there he stayed, staring at the churning water that lay inches away from his feet.

3 hours. Had Aiden really been gone that long? Fina stomach began to churn with worry, but she forced it down. She wouldn't be surprised if her never looked at her the same again. She deserved it anyway. Her head made a hard thud as she flopped against the rock, feeling exhausted and drained. A terrible combination at a time like this.

A Good hour passed and Fina snapped awake as a slight rustle caught her attention.

"I fell asleep? Damn!"

She scolded herself for doing so when she stopped to listen. A small chime could be heard from the brush above her, causing her to jump to her feet and scale the rock. She sat at the top and spied a parachute canister. She snatched it and opened it without hesitation, her eyes lighting up.

"Is this?....YES! Medicine!"

She almost yelled it out loud, but stopped herself, leaping back down and kneeling to Seth. She began the task of re-cleaning the wounds and smearing the clear paste onto the gashes, hoping that this would somehow make Seth heal faster. It smelled strange, but she couldn't have cared less.

"Aiden...Where did you go?..."

She stood up, looking in the direction she heard him leave. She looked back at Seth and pulled the jackets back over him, along with the foliage Aiden had gathered.

"I'll be right back...", she whispered, taking her cantine and heading towards Aiden's direction.

It took her almost an hour before she could hear the sound of the river, stopping to look and listen to be sure. She took a step forward when suddenly an arm wrapped around her throat, cutting off some of her air.

"There you are girly."

The male tribute hissed in her ear as she struggled, clawing at his arm and kicking up leaves. His voice. One of the Tributes that chased her. He squeezed tighter and tighter the more she thrashed, leaving her gasping for air.

"Call them...Call out to your little friends."

He teased, glaring at her with murderous eyes. Fina still tried to struggle, but spots began to appear in her vision. Her gasps slowly turned into wheezes as he choked her.

"S-...Screw...*wheeze*..you"

She would never involve Aiden. Seth couldn't hear her, but he didn't seem to know that. Good. She could see his blurred features twist in anger at her response, closing off her trachea completely.

"Then i'll just deal with you first, Bitch!"

He growled out the words, but Fina couldn't hear them. Her vision blurred and filled with white spots as her hands dropped from the boy's arm.

"R-Run...Aid..en...",she managed to choke out those last words before everything went black.

(( Oh-noes! And this practically IS a book by now. lol Is it bad that this rp is now the highlight of my day...? >< ))

Aiden's eyes snapped open as he was awoken by the sound of a Mockingjay calling out over head.

Had he really fell asleep out in the open?

Aiden yawned loudly, he pushed himself off the ground and stretched his arms. He then scolded himself for doing something so irresponsible.

He could have died!

"................"

Aiden then remembered.

He felt like such a hypocrite.

Saying he would stay with Seth...what a joke.

But he had fallen asleep instead of going back to camp, which would have been a fatal mistake. Thankfully, it was night and none of the Tributes were out and about.

He had been lucky...but probably just this once. Next time, he probably wouldn't be as fortunate. Aiden had to get back to where he had settled in with Seth and Fina.

"Kru-che-krunch-kruncheche."

A rustling sound caught his attention, breaking him out of his train of thought.

What was that sound?

Aiden quickly crouched down, his eyes had not yet adjusted to the darkness, so everything was pitch black as he moved across the ground. He could hear something going on...a struggle perhaps?

His jaw clenched tightly as he swallowed, his hand flicked to his thigh, instinctively going for his blade....

Wait.

Where was it?

Aiden started to panic, really feeling like an idiot now for leaving his sword back at camp.

All he had with him was that damned knife that couldn't do anything.

"Crap," he grunted, looking back towards where the sound was coming from. He inched closer, before he could hear a voice...a boy.

"Call them...Call out to your little friends."

His black, sharp eyebrows slanted as he squinted, trying to see what was going on.

"S-...Screw...you"

Aiden knew that voice!

Oh jeez, no!

Without thinking, he lunged out from the bushes, hands open as he grabbed onto the guy's head and threw him to the ground. Surprised, the teen let out a yelp as he instantly dropped Fina, who hit the ground with a slight thud. The teen then got back up to his feet quickly, sliding his feet on the ground in some sort of stance as he did so.

"Oh, guess she didn't have to yell for you after all....you were stupid enough to-"

He was cut off when Aiden flung his fist into the guys jaw, sending a tooth flying out and into the dust.

"Get out of here," Aiden ordered, his white teeth flashed in the darkness, "I don't want to hurt you-"

Aiden was interrupted as the guy laughed, spitting out some blood at Aiden's feet, he smirked, "You? Hurt me? Really? HAHAHA-You are hilarious blondie." He then lunged at Aiden, hands clasped down on Aiden's small shoulders, trying to throw him against a tree. Aiden however, returned with his own hands on the guys shoulders as the two fell into the dirt, tumbling over each other as they both struggled to get the advantage. Aiden and the Tribute rolled around, both growled and spat at each other as they did so as green eyes glared into black hues. Scratches and bruisers appeared on them both the more they fought, neither of them willing to let go of the other. Aiden's nose was now bleeding and his teeth hurt like hell as he elbowed the guy in the face.

Aiden was startled when suddenly they toppled over each other head first down a hill, his grip loosened as he was thrown off.

"AUGH!"

A sharp sudden pain came to to the front of his head, he was blinded by a flash of white as his head slammed with the teen's own skull. It felt like a shovel crashing down on him, the pain was horrible as he cried out. Aiden's vision quickly came back, but it was blurred, seeing not one, but two-no...three images of the Tribute boy, mouth wide as he roared at him, quickly descending down on Aiden.

Eyes wide, Aiden lifted his legs in front of him, just as the Tribute was upon him, he thrust his boots into the mans stomach.

"GAK!" The man gasped, trying so desperately to gain the breathe back that he lost. He wheezed loudly, grabbing hold of his knees, his back arched and trembled.

"SSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH." The river was loud and seemed to be more violent than ever before, as though it egged the two to kill each other.

They were both an absolutely, bloody mess.

Aiden struggled to get to his feet, breathing heavily as he glared daggers at the teen.

Oh gosh.

He hurt absolutely EVERYWHERE. His face felt swollen and bruised as he gently wiped the blood off of his face.

"Gi-give up," Aiden instructed, his shoulders heaved as he coughed.

"Really you are really going to let me go, after what I just did to your friend," The Tribute hissed, grabbing hold of his stomach as he stared at Aiden, with hatred in his eyes, "for all you know she's probably dead! I killed her!"

Aiden's body suddenly became stiff.

Dead?

No.

That was not true.

"That's not true-" Aiden voiced his thoughts, his eyes pierced through the guy like a knife, "Just leave now and I won't pummel you into the mud where you belong."

Never before had the blonde ever felt such hostileity towards another person.

"Go to hell you friggin' Samaritan," the teenager panted, brown sweaty locks plastered to his face as he stood. He then laughed very uneasily, almost like he was loosing it and about to cry, "N-no. I will finish you off now. You either kill me now, or I kill you." He took a hostile step forward towards Aiden, his grin painted red with blood.

"I-I am not going to-" Aiden protested, backing up, he felt the heel's of his boot sink in muck. He then stopped and stood his ground, staring the male down defiantly.

"Well, if this is how you want it, I will kill you then!" He screamed, rushing at Aiden, who put up his arms and balled up his fists in defense. The rugged teen pushed the tired out blonde forward, Aiden frantically grabbed onto his shirt like a vice. The look on the teens face was priceless as he soon started to fall with Aiden, who had a grin creep on his face.

"Gotcha~! Hope you can swim!"

The air was knocked out of his lungs as the freezing water enveloped him along with the other Tribute.

(( Not at all xDDD I think its the only thing I look forward to doing all day And Oh gosh, last night, Jenner Kade visited my dreams and Aiden was there too. It was just horrible D: ))

Voices.

She could hear voices...Aiden?

Fina's head spun as she came too, eyes widening as she gasped in massive gulps of air. She gave harsh coughs and her lungs felt like they were on fire. White spots still blurred her vision as she held herself up on her palms, still breathing and coughing like a beached fish. She could hear leaves being kicked and branches snapping along with pained yowls and grunts. One of whom she seemed to recognize.

"A-Aiden...*cough* Dammit GET UP!"

She clenched her teeth together as she forced herself to get up, barely standing on tired, unsteady feet.

"Really you are really going to let me go, after what I just did to your friend? For all you know she's probably dead! I killed her!"

"That's not true-"

Her eyes snapped open.

"Aiden!"

Fina turned towards the voices and pushed forward, cursing for her body to move faster. She leaned on a sapling as she looked out over the hill, freezing in place. Aiden was trapped. The river licked at his heels.

"Well, if this is how you want it, I will kill you then!"

A chill traveled up her spine as the Tribute lunged for him. She knew better. Aiden would never be willing to take a life, but- Fina's heart stopped.

"Gotcha~! Hope you can swim!"

It seemed like she was watching the scene in slow motion. The splash the boys made seemed as loud as the cannon to her at that moment. Without even thinking, she rushed forward, ignoring the ache in her throat and the sting in her lungs.

"AIDEN!"

She began to barrel down river, pushing her weakened legs as hard as she could. She desperately scanned the swirling water, looking for any sign of movement or life in general. Then, she saw him. There was no mistaking those golden locks.

"Aiden!"

She urged herself forward and saw her opportunity. A branch hung loosely over the river just in front of her. Perfect. She curled her fingers around the branch with a talon grip, stepping out onto the smooth stones. The river lapped at her feet as she reached out as far as she could.

"Aiden! Grab my hand!"

(( Ok Good. >3< And i had something similar but it was freaky as crap! Ya know how, in the move those dog things chased them in the end? Well in the book they are these big werewolf things and their faces are that of every person who died. It was Seth vs those things PLUS Kade. Air! He needed air!

His lungs screamed as he burst through the surface, taking in a sharp breath, he was knocked under the water once again. The teenager that attempted to murder him had escaped his grip, but now, he was no longer in sight as the river churned, his brown locks disappearing under its foaming surface.

Aiden took in another breath, gasping loudly as he was pulled under once again.

The current was terribly strong, something that Aiden didn't account for when he decided to take the "plunge."

The rushing water was also so damn loud. It was like an endless sound of static that deafened all his senses. Water came out of his mouth and nose as he choked, his heart rate was through the roof as he was being tossed around like a leaf in the middle of a tornado. No matter how much he tried to swim against the current, it just seemed to make everything worse and make him more and more tired. He was slammed painfully against the boulders that hid under the waves, knocking the little oxygen his lungs could hold.

This was nothing but a swirling death trap!

He wondered if the Game Maker was doing this on purpose, it was like trying to swim in a freaking hurricane! This was worse than trying to swim in the ocean back home, that was for sure.

And he should know...he tried swimming in a hurricane before. So many life experiences that day he was sure not to forget in a long while!

He cursed as another wave crashed down on him, turning him upside down in the dark water. Panic filled his chest as he fought to flip himself back upright, water quickly filled his lungs at an alarming rate. He managed to flip himself back upright and break the surface of the water again, just in time to briefly see a hand reaching out for him. He frantically tried to reach for it, not caring at that moment if it was friend or foe. However, his finger tips brushed against their own, before something grabbed hold of his leg and tugged him under.

Well damn.

"BLUB-"

Water engulfed him once again, kicking the air out of him just as he went under.

You...really?

Aiden couldn't believe that the male Tribute was STILL alive.

And there he was, trying to keep him under water and drown him.

Like hell that was going to happen!

Aiden kicked away from him once again, bobbing to the surface as the teen was swept under a nasty current.

Must...stay...alive-

"I will be alright!" Aiden sputtered and croaked, another rush of water slammed him in the face as he said those words, leaving him stunned for a moment. He didn't know if there was even anyone there anymore, his focus was really off as he blinked the water out of his eyes. By now he was hyperventilating and shaking horribly from the cold.

"Just-HACK" he coughed, his arms flailed in the water as he struggled to stay afloat, "Come find me later downstream-" The water was absolutely icy, so much so that his arms and legs were already starting to go numb as his head started to sink under the water. Only his face stuck out of the water now, trying to breathe in much air as he could. The river foamed and seethed as it gnawed on his body, tossing him back under again. He spun wildly out of control, furiously trying to grab onto anything he could, but it was all in vain as his head slammed against a boulder.

Instantly, the sound was gone and all he could see was darkness. He was thrown against another rock, feeling the cold rush of air on his face as he latched weakly onto it, in a desperate attempt to stay above the surface. He could barely keep his eyes open and his breathing was labored as he held tight. Images of happier times began to appear in his mind, before he was offered up as a Tribute.

Ha.

It was funny.

Dying like this-

A Tribute of District 4, the masters of the ocean waves and all its forces...drowning.

He took it back, this was not funny at all.

It was quite insulting really.

((Ooooo those Muttations things Oh my jonas that IS FREAKY!!! I would hate to have a dream like that >_< Mine was just gruesome and made me sick, makes me hate Jenner more everytime I think about it XDDDD))

"No!"

Fina cried as Aiden's finger tips brushed hers. She leapped back onto the shore and huffed as she once again took off. She tried to keep her eyes on him as he was batted by the torrent.

"I will be alright!"

She turned her head to look as he was sucked under, panic beginning to rise in her stomach.

"Just-HACK! Come find me later downstream-"

She went to reply when she almost tripped up, huffing in irritation at her weakened state. Running was becoming more and more difficult as her lungs screamed in agony. she glanced over and watched in horror as he was pounded against the rocks, batted around by the waves like a piece of debris in a hurricane. Oh no. She grinded to a halt as she caught sight of him, clinking to a rock with fading strength.

"Oh no you don't!"

She growled, latching onto his arms and pulling. She pulled with what was left of her strength and managed to yank him onto the bank, catching her breath for a second and hovering over him.

"Aiden! Aiden, talk to me!"

She balled her hands in a fist and pressed down on Aiden's chest, trying to get the water up and out of his lungs.

"Cough, Aiden! Come on!"

His tired body knocked against the ground, releasing some of the water that still took up residence in his chest. He was dazed as he lay there on the ground, not moving an inch due to not being able to feel any part of him. The world around him spun, he closed his eyes tightly, hoping that it would stop.

"Aiden! Aiden, talk to me!"

Hmm..what?

Who?

Aiden felt hands lay themselves on his chest and press down, trying to help get the water up. He suddenly felt sick as his insides twisted, his stomach was filled with nothing but muddy river water and whatever else was floating around in it as he vomited off to the side. He quickly got to his hands and knees and pushed away from the person trying to help, shaking uncontrollably as he coughed up more and more water.

Jeez, did he drink up the whole river or something?

He then collapsed back on to the ground, his arms and legs had given up trying to support his weight. Every part of him was numb, which was probably good because if he wasn't, he would be feeling massive amounts of pain right at that moment. He would be surprised if he broke something while he was getting tossed around.

But the being soaked and freezing part...meeehhhh he could have done without.

"Tha-thank you...." Aiden wheezed, he teeth chattered as he lay there on the ground, trying to take in as much of the crisp air as he possibly could.

Dizzy.

He was so dizzy.

And tired.

Blood trickled down the side of his face where his head had come in contact with the massive boulder. He didn't notice it however, moving one of his aching limbs under his right temple to keep off the ground. His eyes were growing heavy, he smiled a bit, thankful that he was able to live to see another day.

But now...he needed sleep.....

She stared at him as Aiden spewed out a massive amount of water. It looked like half the river came up. She released her held breath, crawling to him and cradling him.

"No no no. Don't sleep yet. Come on."

She brushed back his golden locks and examined his head, flinching at his injury with a tiny hiss.

"You can rest when we get back to Seth."

Fina urged him to get up, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and hefting him up. She struggled a bit, clenching her teeth in frustration at how weak she felt. She gave a hoarse cough. Her lungs and throat still burned like mad.

"Come on, Aiden. *huff* Lean on me if you need to.."

She heaved him forward, struggle to keep herself up. Ugh! Come on Fina. Just up this hill. She glanced at Aiden out of her peripherals and grinned.

"Don't you Ever scare me like that again." She teased, trying to keep him awake.

"You and Seth are not leaving before me." She couldn't help but smile, new determination lighting her eyes.

He felt as fingers gently brushed the hair out of his face, he looked up, his eyes met with a pair of stunning gold.

Fina...

He should have figured.

"I knew it-"Aiden struggled to talk, "I knew that you were not dead-" He smiled the largest toothy grin he could, but his cheeks were so bruised it was painful to do so. He tried to sit up, but his body refused to move. He wanted so badly to just rest...rest for a very long while.

"You can rest when we get back to Seth."

Seth...

That's right! He was supposed to be watching over him-

"...Okay," Aiden breathed, as Fina helped him get to his feet. He was very uneasy and still dizzy as he took one wary step at a time, almost tripping and falling with every step.

"Come on, Aiden. Lean on me if you need to.."

He silently nodded to her, his eyes were nothing but slits as he rested against her shoulder.

"Don't you ever scare me like that again."

He laughed painfully as she made that comment, responding, "Sorry Fina...but that is something I can't promise...you know me-" He then groaned out the last part, starting to feel the pain coming on, "Always getting into trouble..."

"You and Seth are not leaving before me."

Aiden took in a sharp breath at the remark, quickly changing the subject, "So....how is Seth?" His have lidded green hues looked to her for a moment, before closing temporarily.

"Sorry I didn't come back to camp, I fell asleep by the river and by the time I woke up...I..." he paused, as he struggled to climb up this "mountain" with Fina. His knees buckled from under neath him, he then fell flat on his face, letting out a strained groan in annoyance. He then started to army crawl up the hill, not daring to try to get up and topple backwards down the hill.

((He must DIIIIEEEE!!! I am so horribly scared from it now, curse you Jenner >_< ))

Fina grinned at his comment. Typical Aiden. She pushed forward and went to take another painful step. A tree root caught her foot and she fell forward, catching herself with her hands. She heard Aiden fall just behind her, turning to help him up this...uh "hill". It felt bigger than that. Far Bigger.

"We're almost there now. Just a little further."

She continued to urge him forward. Herself as well. As soon as they hit the top, she lifted him up, hooking his arm back over her shoulders.

"I came to find you to -*huff* to tell you that i found a parachute with medicine."

She struggled to talk, breathing hard, her voice hoarse from almost choking to death. She could see the rock just barely through the trees.

"I already put it on his wounds so don't worry about that."

Finally the reached the rock, seeing Seth still hidden under the foliage unharmed. Good. She stepped forward and pain shot through her should, making her hiss and stumble. She let Aiden down as gently as she could and notice his arm had blood on it. Fresh blood. A stinging sensation caused Fina to look down at the gash on her collar bone. It ripped open. She cursed under her breath and leaned Aiden against the smooth stone.

"Just rest here. Don't sleep yet. Not till i check your head. You might've gotten a concussion."

She prayed that was not the case as she ignored her own wounds, scooting up to Aiden and brushing away his wet hair to look.

((He WILL die....slowely, painfully. ))

"A parachute?" Aiden huffed, wanting so bad to stop for a moment to catch his breathe, he stared off into the trees above.

He felt like he was about to pass out.

"Who...who did it belong to? Did-it say?" the blonde said, clearing his throat.

"I already put it on his wounds so don't worry about that."

"That's...good," he said with a breathy voice as they pushed through the under brush. There laid Seth, still out a cold. A weight had lifted off his shoulders seeing that the cuts were already healing nicely as Fina settle him down on the ground. She propped him against the stone, he winced in pain as she let go. His ribs hurt like hell, he wouldn't be surprised if he either broke, or bruised something. He was soaked and frozen to the bone, he shook violently trying to warm back up.

"Just rest here. Don't sleep yet. Not till I check your head. You might've gotten a concussion."

"Listen...I would like to stay awake and chat all night...but..." He cut himself short as he saw her bloody cut on her neck bleeding furiously.

"Fina," Aiden said in a stern voice, grabbing her hand before she could check him out; his hand trembled horribly as he stared at her.

"You need to take care of yourself first," he said in a criticizing manner, very unlike him as he continued, "I will be fine...nothing that some rest could not...heal."

The world around him was fading and he was loosing his breathe the more he spoke. He shook his head and placed his palm on his forehead, swaying lightly as he ordered, "Take care of yourself first-then worry about me..." He then smiled a bit, to show her that he was "fine."

She stalled as he grabbed her, caught off guard by his sudden tone. She watched him sway and reach out to hold his shoulder.

"Aiden..."

She flinched at the stinging pain. He was right. Fina stared at him for a long minute before nodding.

"Alright.."

She turned and grabbed a handful of yarrow, crushing he stalks with the smooth stones she collected earlier. She twisted the stone and pain ripped through her again. She hissed loudly and clenched her eyes shut.

"Dammit!"

She swayed a bit herself as she stuffed the yarrow on her collar bone. She felt so exhausted all of sudden. Two full days without sleep was not good. No. She had to stay awake. She reached over, with her left arm this time, and uncovered Seth. The wounds were healing extremely fast. She pulled the top jacket gently off the boy and turned once again to Aiden.

"Take this. You're shivering.."

Fina's voice sounded tired but soft as she wrapped the extra jacket around Aiden.

"Seth should be awake soon with how fast he's healing."

She didn't give him time to protest, placing a surprisingly gentle hand on his forehead. The silver canister had only a tiny bit of medicine left, but it would do. She tried her best to be gentle, her eyes squinting a bit as she patted the clear substance into the nasty cut.

((omg...so drawing this.))

Aiden watched as Fina tended to herself, then turning to Seth, she took one of the extra jackets that draped over him and then gently put it on the blonde.

"Take this. You're shivering.."

He smiled at the gesture, thanking her quietly, he sunk into the jacket, still shaking furiously.

"Seth should be awake soon with how fast he's healing."

Oh gosh, if Seth WAS awake, he would be all over them for not doing the right thing with someone who was freezing to death after falling into ice cold water.

"You are supposed to dispose of your wet clothes first, you idiot," he would say.

And then Aiden would retort with some type of "witty" comment about how Seth just wanted to see if he wore boxers or briefs and so on and a little argument would ensue.

Oh jeez. How he missed those.

Like he was going to strip down to his underwear in front of girl-

"You are going to get hypothermia if you stay in those clothes. But do what you want, I don't really care if you die or not."

He smirked at the thought when suddenly he felt a hand press lightly against his head, taking in a deep breath at the sudden action. She was putting the thick clear substance on his head now, her touch was surprisingly warm. Her golden eyes were focused and un-moving as she stroked her fingers on his gash.

Aiden's eyes slowly closed, he smiled lightly, "That feels...nice..."

"Thank you...Fina."

Before he knew it, he had dozed off as Fina still applied the medicine to his head.

((YES. DOOOO IITTTT))

A wide smile spread over Fina's face. All her pain seemed to lighten as those words escaped his lips.

"Your welcome my friend.."

She whispered softly, letting her arms rest on her lap. She let out a stressed breath and turned back to Seth, letting Aiden nap for a bit. She would have to wake him in ten minutes anyway. She picked up her cantine and gently lifted Seth's head, pressing it to his lips.

"You gotta wake up Seth...."

She poured the herb laden water into his mouth a bit at a time. They needed food. Water would only keep them running for so long. She stared at Seth for a long while, listened to nothing but the songs of the Mockingjays.

She set Seth back down, sighing a tired sigh. Her fingers pinched her brow tightly.

"I won't last much longer..."

Aiden slept as hard as a rock, he barely breathed and was lightly shaking in his sleep.

He was just...completely and utterly dead tired.

So tired and sound asleep, at a glance, you would have believed he was actually dead. His face twisted in his sleep, his jaw clenched and his eyes narrowed as if he could feel the pain his body was in while asleep.

He needed the rest. Almost drowning had completely worn him out, he would be of no use unless he got that sleep he needed. His whole body was bruised and battered and his arms and legs were stiff from the cold. He had flopped onto the ground, not being able to hold himself up anymore against the rock wall, but he was sound asleep, not even flinching as he hit the hard ground. His body shivered uncontrollably as he lay on his side next to Seth. With the signs he was showing, it wouldn't be surprising if he was already in the early stages of hypothermia.

Fina jumped a little as Aiden thudded against the ground. Out like a light.

"Typical.."

She watched him shiver next to Seth, teeth chattering loudly. She sighed and touch her hand to his cheek.

"Idiot...You're gonna freeze to death.."

She pried the jacket from his shivering fingers, shaking the excess water off. She knew Aiden wouldn't like what she was doing, but he was in no position to argue. She took off his shirt with one swift movement, cover him with the jacket again.

"Don't whine at me. You're showing signs of Hypothermia."

She turned on her knees and quickly built a small fire. After a minute of prepping she laid down next to Aiden, scooting close to share her body heat.

"Good God you're cold."

She felt the shivers rock her frame and she curled around him tighter. Sleep threatened to take her. Her eyes fluttered for a moment as she fought the exhaustion. She couldn't sleep. Not yet.

He dreamt he was falling.

Falling into an endless black void.

It wasn't like that at first, he was once standing in an open field.

His friends stood on the opposite side, Fina and Seth, encouraging Aiden to come with them with very welcoming and warm smiles. Their hands were outstretched and their promises of a better life was very inviting to him.
He took a step forward on the soft green grass. But the ground began to shake and the world turned a blood red. He should have known something was wrong, Seth smiling was rare even in a dream. He opened his mouth to yell to his friends, but no words escaped from his mouth as he saw their faces twist and deform, laughing at him in a sinister way.

They were not themeselves, they were becoming monsters as he panicked.

Aiden tried to escape, trying to run away as far as he could, but he could hear the voice of an unseen enemy around him.

The ground opened up before him and swallowed him whole, the rocks were like gnashing teeth that closed above him.

This felt like no dream, it felt very VERY real as he fell, he couldn't breathe as he felt water filling his lungs.

Aiden coughed loudly in his sleep, his feet twitched as he lay there.

((Lol, now I am not sure where this story is going now !!! I don't think Aiden is gonna wake up any time soon...XDDDDDDD As for Seth...hopefully soon, but unlikely that he would wake up right now XD))

Fina's eyes snapped open, awoken by Aiden's cough.

"I fell asleep?.."

She pushed herself up and put her head in her palms, trying to banish the sleep from her head. She was so tired. Huffing she stood up on wobbly legs, leaning on the rock for support. The Yarrow helped her wound, but only so much. The muscle connecting to her shoulder has torn slightly as far as she could tell.

"How long did i sleep?..."

She turned her eyes to look to the canopy. It was sunrise when she dozed off, now it was almost noon. She sighed heavily until a growling sound caught her attention, followed closely by another. Hunger pains followed suit. The last time they ate was almost three days ago.

"Time to hunt i guess..."

She tried to remember where she left the bow and arrows when she jumped once again at Aiden's cough, turning to look at him. He wasn't shivering as badly anymore, but something else was wrong. She got back down on her knees next to the boy. He twitched and jerked in his sleep, face contorted in a frightened expression. A nightmare?

"Shhh..."

She very gently brushed back his now dry, soft hair from his face, grazing her fingers over his head wound. It was almost healed. Good. She sat down next him and stroked his golden locks, trying to calm whatever plagued him. She decided not to try and wake him. That was a lost cause as it is. After a minute of this she began to hum, then sing softly.

"Hope can drown...
lost in thunderous sound...
And Fear can claim...
what little faith remains..."

But I carry strength from souls, all gone..
They won't let me give in..

She still gently brushed Aiden's hair as she whispered the song.

"I will never surrender.
We'll free the Earth and sky..
Crush my heart into embers..
And I will reignite.."

She almost started cry as she continued the song, staring at the two with sad topaz eyes. They were her partners. Her friends. Her responsibility. Her gaze hardened slightly as she finished, standing back up.

"I'll be right back."

She grabbed her cantine, a handful of herbs, and scaled the rock. The bow and quiver still laid in the dirt, untouched, as she swung them both over her shoulder.

"I promise."

(( Good! We can just wing it then. lol And the song is great. Sad sounding but wonderful. And i thought as much for Aiden. >3< ))

The black haired teen woke up with a start, in a cold sweat, cannon fire ringing in his ears.

"Augh!" Seth growled, covering his ears from the horrid sound, but it wouldn't cease. He hunched over from where he now sat, head was in his lap as he clenched his head.

What the hell was that sound?!

After sometime, the ringing subsided and he slowly released his clenched fingers from his dirtied hair. The bright sun was streaming down on his face, he slammed his eyes shut, groaning in annoyance, he laid back down on his side.

Had the sun always been so freakin' bright?

Uggghhh, his body ached all over for some weird reason, especially his rib cage when he breathed. He opened his teal blue eyes slowly, daring to see where he was.

Leaves.

Grass.

Dirt.

Branches.

Weeds.

The sight of these things brought him back to reality as he heaved a weary sigh.

Damn. He was still HERE.

How long had he been asleep?

What had happened after he was attacked?

He couldn't remember anything after...

He paused for a moment, his brain was now awakening and flashes of past images were coming back.

Blood.

Excruciating pain.

Violence.

Fear.

Death.

Bright and terrified eyes...

Aiden...

Last thing he remembered was him trying to pick him up, along with Fina...

The forest sounded unusually silent to him, as he crossed his arms across his bare chest, thinking over what had happened.

That's when he noticed.

Where was his original jacket and shirt he was wearing?

His front half felt slightly chill in this early evening weather, while his back felt unusually warm....

"Mmm...nice to...see that your...awake....sweetie," a voice mumbled just behind him.

Uuugghhh....Too EARLY for these kind of jokes.

Seth sat up quickly and spun around to start a dispute, a rush of wooziness overpowered him from moving so fast. Not saying a thing, he stared wide eyed at Aiden, who was laying right up against him just a minute ago, but now was on his back, staring back at him with half open eyes. He wore a weary expression, his face was bruised and battered, but so was the rest of him. He looked like he was about to fall asleep again, Aiden's body popped and cracked as he stretched out his stiff joints.

Seth stared at him blankly, the corners of his mouth slightly twitched.

Wait.

What.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!

"Why...where the hell is your shirt?"

Aiden stared back at him at a moment, with an expression like Seth had been mistaken. He moved his hands across his collarbone and the expression on his face drastically changed.

"Wh-wha-what-?!"

Aiden suddenly felt self conscious about himself, pushing himself off the ground he blushed madly, his eyes darted around him, spotting his shirt laying wrinkled in the dust. He quickly grabbed it up and held it up against him. He had no time to slip it back on before Seth was upon him and a yowling fit.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU TRYING REEVES?" Energy surged through Seth now as he grabbed the scatterbrained idiot roughly by the shoulders and barked in his face. His eyes were fierce and angry, his teeth were barred and his hands were ready to strangle the blonde to death.

"OH JEEZ SETH NO! I-IT'S NOT-I SWEAR-PLEASE DON'T-" Aiden stuttered, his voice was high and panicked, his face was so flushed he looked like he was about to explode.

WHAT THE CRAP HAD HAPPENED WHILE HE SLEPT? He SWORE he was wearing his tee before-!

((Yay for winging it! This is now 44 pages long! I don't think I have ever heard of that song before Also sorry it took forever to respond, I just got so busy Ended up waking them both up, because it wasn't going anywhere with them sleeping xDD XDDD))

"HEY!"

Fina yowled angrily, standing there glaring at the grappling boys. Her fire colored eyes glared at the two.

"Seth, sit down. You're still recovering."

She barked the order with a still hoarse voice, kneeling down and untying three dead birds from her belt. She gently pushed Seth's shoulder, urging him to sit down.

"Aiden, you had no shirt because you were showing signs of Hypothermia. And Seth, I still have to check to see how your cuts have healed. Especially that shoulder of yours."

Her facial expression showed irritation, but her eyes showed concern as she continued to glare at the two. She turned her attention to the dwindling fire and tended to flame. After nodding with approval, she began to gut and skewer the pigeons, placing them delicately above the flames.

"Alright. I got one for each of us. Probably could've gotten more if it wasn't for...well...you know."

She motion to her still torn collar, fresh Yarrow and peppermint pressed onto the wound. She scooted up to the black-haired teen, eying and prodding his healed cuts and gashes.

"Wow...that stuff really worked!"

She scooted around to get a look at his shoulder blade, her finger grazing over the almost flawless skin. The touched and prodded, being sure that not a single wound was left unchecked.

"Ok. You're all healed Seth. It's nice to have you back..."

Her words we more than sincere. Even a slight smile tugging at her lips.

"Aiden, lemme see how your head is doing. That was a pretty nasty hit."

"HEY!

Seth's clenched fist stopped mid-way before he could give Aiden a black eye. Aiden trembled in his hands, but was able to escape as Seth loosened his grip.

"F-F-FINA! OH THANK GOODNESS YOU ARE BACK-SETH WAS TRYING TO KILL ME-" Aiden puffed, quickly jumping behind her and away Seth's glaring sight.

"Seth, sit down. You're still recovering."

Seth muttered a couple choice words under his breathe as he was "forcefully" sat down, his eyes still glaring at the boy. Fina's presence failed to defuse the tension between the two as Aiden tried to avoid Seth's gaze.

"Aiden, you had no shirt because you were showing signs of Hypothermia," Fina stated.

"Fina! You did it?" A smug grin was on his face hearing this as he stared at her, "was I really showing Hypt-whats-its, or did ya just want to see the sexiness that is Aiden?"

Seth rolled his eyes at the comment, he snorted in disgust, which made Aiden back away from Fina in fear that she would let Seth go and kill him.
"Eheheh...just kidding..." Aiden apologized, sitting himself down against the rock face. Aiden noticed the birds immediately at Fina's side, feeling a sudden hunger hit his belly like an avalanche. But he stayed quiet, not willing to risk the combined wrath of Fina and Seth.

"Alright. I got one for each of us. Probably could've gotten more if it wasn't for...well...you know." She motioned to the cut on her collarbone as she said so.

"Really, apparently I have missed A LOT. What happened for you to get that? You are usually are so careful," Seth asked, looking to Aiden, blame written in his glaring features.

"Seth, don't you want to know how I-"

"I can care less about you, you were probably were doing something STUPID that would risk your health. As usual," Seth answered with an accusing hiss, clearly uninterested in why Aiden was so badly battered. Aiden shot him a glare before turning his back on the two.

"Wow...that stuff really worked!"

Seth cradled his jaw in his hand, his bright blue eyes peaked through his thick brows as Fina examined all the cuts. He heaved a weary sigh when she had finished.

"Ok. You're all healed Seth. It's nice to have you back..."

Seth glanced up at her, shrugging his shoulders he turned his gaze to the ground, he slipped his fingers in between his own.

"Fine fine. Don't get all mushy with me..." Seth said, feeling slightly embarrassed, he decided to stand and stretch his aching legs a bit.

He had so many questions.

SO many.

But how was he going to go about and ask ALL of them?

He could ask Aiden later, but the little prick probably wouldn't talk to him now.

Not like he cared.

"Aiden, lemme see how your head is doing. That was a pretty nasty hit."

"At least someone cares," Aiden grumbled under his breathe, so low that neither of them heard it. As Fina approached, he sat up straight and rested his hands in his lap. She moved his hair a bit to look at his injury, Aiden watched as Seth started to pace back and forth, trying to get his legs working again. He then swiped up one of the jackets that lay on the ground and sipped it over his shoulders, not bothering to button it just yet.

"So, Fina," Seth said with a yawn, "Where the heck did you get these extra clothes from?"

Fina froze.

That was definitely a loaded question.

She let the golden hair drop from her fingers, not daring to look at either of them. Her brows furrowed a bit as she scooted back over to the fire, prodding it with a stick. She wanted so bad to avoid the question, but he deserved to know.

"From...other Tributes..."

It was a simple answer. She knew Seth was smart enough to know that there was more to it than that. a Lot more. She turned the cooking birds on the other side and stood up, turning to grab the cantines.

"And this cut? Aiden, you asked but...i lied...The female Tribute, Nyn, jumped me while i was gathering herbs for your wounds. She tried to stab me, but missed."

Fina slowly pulled the crushed herbs from her shoulder, flinching as she did so. Emptying her cantine to clean the gash, she left it open, letting the wound breath for a moment. The silence was unnerving between them, Seth knowing that there was more. Fina clenched her fists and turned to face the black-haired teen, shame reflecting in her golden eyes.

"I killed them....Both of them..."

Her eyes dropped immediately from his, waiting for Seth's punishment to rightfully be unleashed upon her.

"From...other Tributes..."

Seth paused for a moment and gazed at the dark haired girl without saying a word. He then buttoned up the jacket and dusted it off.

"Should have figured-I am assuming you went out and got these off them then."

Seth was totally fine with it. He showed no sign of concern of the matter as he picked at some dried up mud on his "new" jacket.

Better that she did it than him, people had to die sooner or later during this stupid television show.

'Though it was a really good idea she decided to loot their bodies before they were taken away,' Seth noted, seeing 3 of the weapons the Tributes had on them scattered across the dirt.

"And this cut? Aiden, you asked but...I lied...The female Tribute, Nyn, jumped me while I was gathering herbs for your wounds. She tried to stab me, but missed."

Wow. She really was in a confessing mood tonight-

Aiden held his breathe as she said this. He looked over to Seth, who could tell something was not right with him.

Seth then looked away, focused on working out the tensed up arm that had the arrow in it. It barely moved as he rotated the shoulder blade, which made Seth worry a little.

"I killed them....Both of them..."

"They were trying to kill you-right?"

Seth shot back with his own question. He stared right back into those golden eyes of hers without even flinching, his icy ones showed little emotion as he did so.

"If so. Then I wouldn't worry about it, I killed someone too you know, you have to do awful deeds when you are pushed."

But she was AWFULLY silent for someone who was just protecting her friends. The way she looked away and reacted to his words was not normal at all.

And Aiden.

Sheesh, he didn't want to get started with him. He was just nothing but a train wreck of unstable nerves.

"Alright, give me the WHOLE story, after I almost became a shish kabob, start to finish," Seth said, flopping down onto the ground, leaning against a tore up tree. He winced, remembering how his body still ached from the injuries he had sustained.

"I am ready to listen, start whenever you want," Seth yawned, placing his head against the wood, he looked out into the darkening forest with heavy eyes.

Tired.

He was so darn tired.

"I TORTURED HIM, SETH!"

Fina's fists trembled as the memories came flooding back. The Tribute's screams as she mercilessly sliced into his flesh. Aiden's pleas to stop and finish it. And his eyes. Fina tried so hard to hold back the tears.

"I purposely kept him alive...Aiden saw everything...If it wasn't for him I..."

She finally looked back into his harsh blue eyes, hers filled with regret and shame.

"I would not have stopped....I was a monster."

A small part of her felt better for getting it all out. Not all however. She took in a deep breath and plopped down by the fire. Her face hidden by shadow as she stared at the ground.

"We brought you up here after you passed out. Tending to you wounds and all...For almost two days, Aiden refused to sleep to look after you. I went off to pick medicinal plants and...well you know that story."

Fina shuffled her feet a bit as she spoke, hating herself at the moment.

"Nyn, like i said, jumped me. Tried to stab me and then choke me to death. ..I managed to kick her off but..i didn't know that there was a cliff right behind me...She died instantly.

Aiden probably thought i killed her too...

She continued to speak as best she could from memory, trying hard not to miss anything.

"When i returned...Aiden went down to the river bank..."

Fina left out the fact of WHY Aiden went to the river alone. How she begged his forgiveness.

"Luckily i found a parachute that had medicine in it, which is why you healed so quickly. I went to find Aiden and got attacked by Nyn's partner...

She paused for a moment, rubbing her throat with her good hand.

"Aiden saved my life...He brawled with him as an equal.

Fina couldn't help but smile, proud of the little psycho for handling a larger opponent so well.

"They both tumbled into the river and Aiden got bashed around a good bit. Getting knocked on the head by a rock. And...well..That's pretty much it really."

She finished with a thinking glance, making sure she didn't miss anything. She waited for Seth's response, still not daring to look at Aiden. She prayed that maybe one day he would forgive her and if he didn't...well..She didn't deserve his friendship.

Seth was caught by surprise by Fina's sudden outburst, his eyes grew wide from where he sat, his arms were now crossed across his chest as he stared at her. His ice blue eyes grew hard the more she talked, not believing that she could actually do such a thing.

He glanced over at Aiden, who was now slumped over, his eyes averted to the ground immediately as he picked at the pebbles nervously. He actually felt a tiny bit bad that Aiden had witnessed such a gruesome act.

Especially one done by a friend that he probably knew for YEARS before this.

You think you know someone by then, right Aiden?

Apparently she has monsters in the closet that even he didn't know about. Guess they couldn't stay in hiding forever, all they needed was the right environment for them to thrive in.

"We brought you up here after you passed out. Tending to you wounds and all...For almost two days, Aiden refused to sleep to look after you. I went off to pick medicinal plants and...well you know that story."

Aiden's heart swelled with pride as he heard her say that line, he puffed out his chest a bit before he saw Seth staring at him, cowering back into his original position.

The black haired teen stared at the two, not believing what he was hearing.

So many unlikely situations happened while he was out.

Aiden taking out another Tribute? HA.

Heck, Aiden couldn't even fight HIM off.

'He must have been very VERY weak or it was some fluke accident," Seth decided.

Seth continued to listen to what Fina was saying without making a sound. A cold blank stare was on his face as she finished up. He was silent for a long moment, processing all the information he had gathered as he placed his finger tips against his head. His brain dismissed all the "un-important" information and went straight back to the main problem.

He let a frustrated sigh before he spoke, "Like I said Fina...you do awful things when you are pushed..."he said behind closed eyes, shaking his head, "but...that was just a bit too much."

His cold eyes snapped open as he felt anger start to boil up within him.

"I can't believe that you could actually do such a thing, you know only people who are sick in the head do those kind of things right?" Seth said honestly, standing to his feet, he began to pace a bit to keep himself from lashing out.

"What if you do it again Fina? I don't think it just magically disappeared in one night, oh no, it's something deep rooted in your brain," Seth spat, his anger was starting to get the best of him as he ranted.

"What's to say you won't turn into another Jenner Kade and turn on us? I don't think I can risk you being around Aiden and I if your like this."

"Seth-" Aiden objected, but he fell silent as a deadly glare was sent his way, not daring to get in between the two at that time. Seth then turned to face Fina.

"We don't torture people Fina, that's not right!" Seth growled, clutching his head, "We kill to survive another day in this damn hell-" He stopped for a moment, before he looked at her in disappointment.

"What were you thinking?"

((Was THAT the reaction you were originally looking for? ))

All she could do was sit there, staring down at the ground in shame. Seth's words cut like a knife. But they were all too true. He said things that even she thought about from time to time. She could feel his cold eyes glaring into her, the gravel he kicked up, lightly spraying towards her. She gulped loudly and flinched as he yelled.

"We don't torture people Fina, that's not right!" Seth growled, clutching his head, "We kill to survive another day in this damn hell-"

Her shoulders were slumped as he finished his well deserved rant, hearing him sigh heavily and once again turn those blue eyes on her.

"What were you thinking?"

Fina's eyes closed at that question, not daring to look at either of them. She took in a quiet, shaky breath, a hard lump rising in her throat.

"I didn't. I wasn't thinking...I just...got so angry..."

She knew that was far from a good enough excuse for her reaction. Torturing someone was out of line. And she knew it. She could feel her body begin to shake as she stood up, plucking the now cooked birds from the fire and setting them down on palm leaves.

"And you're right Seth....You're right..."

She couldn't find anything to say. There was nothing more TO say at that moment. Fina felt her heart ache horribly as she scaled the rock, shoulders still slumped in shame.

"You can have my ration...I'm not hungry.."

She didn't give them time to argue as she disappeared into the brush, heading for a small, tree covered hill she found on her way back. Seth was harsh...but he spoke the truth. talon fingers laced in her shirt as she barely walked now. Her heart broke. Fina crumpled to the grass and braced herself against an Oak, sobbing tears rushing from her eyes.

He's right....i'm too dangerous...but...I would NEVER hurt THEM!

Her heart thudded in her chest heavily. It was an empty sound. The grass became wet with tears as she knelt there, hunched and shaking with rage, sorrow, and shame. She almost wanted another Tribute to kill her now. It would end it at least. All she wanted now...was peace and comfort. Two things that were not possible in this cruel game.

(DAMN! That hurt me a little. but yes lol And the Guardian of District 4 shatters! *sigh* i actually had to hold back tears for this >< MAN! It was deserved though...She'd rather hear it like that with anger than them EVER be afraid of her like Aiden. poor Fina...))

"I didn't. I wasn't thinking...I just...got so angry..."

"Tch," Seth said in disbelief, throwing his arms up, he turned his back on her, pressing his fingers against his tired, closed eyes.

He couldn't believe it-

There was no valid reason to give for torturing someone, but all she could come up with was "I just got angry."

What a joke.

He had no more to say as the camp went quiet, only the sound of the crackling fire broke the deathly silence.

"And you're right Seth....You're right..."

Blue eyes peaked over a gray jacket as Fina said this, watching as she took the birds off the fire and placed them on the ground.

"You can have my ration...I'm not hungry.."

In a blink of an eye, she was gone, leaving Aiden broken hearted as he stood and tried to go after her.

"Fina-!" He was stopped dead in his tracks as Seth threw his arm in front of him.

"Leave her," Seth said in an exhausted tone, but a glare was still in his eye as he looked out into the forest where the brunette had gone. His eyes softened a little as he looked at Aiden, who now had silent tears escaping his eyes.

"Reeves-" Seth grumbled, turning away from him, he bent over and picked up one of the cooked pigeons that lay on the ground.

"Eat," Seth said, thrusting the cooked bird out to Aiden. Aiden looked at him sadly, gingerly taking it from his fingers, knowing what Seth would say if he didn't. The two then sat silently with their legs crossed on the ground, chewing slowly as the the dying fire reflected in their eyes.

"Seth..."Aiden said hoarsely, his eyes were heavy as he stared at the flickering flame,"Do you think...she will...come back?"

Seth paused at the question, his fingers tapped lightly against his meal before finishing off the rest of it.

That was an interesting question that held many different meanings to it, if that's what Aiden had meant to do, he didn't know.

"She's a potential hazard Reeves," Seth answered, tossing the bones of the bird away as he stamped the rest of the fire out, "If you want to live-I suggest you stay away from her from now on-"

"SETH! But-she our friend-"

"YOURS," Seth corrected him.

Aiden just sat there, biting his bottom lip.

"It's good that she left Reeves, you don't know WHAT she might do..." Seth trailed off, he was getting tired of explaining why she shouldn't come back.

Wasn't it obvious? She TORTURED someone!

"I know," Aiden said quietly, a bitter taste was left on his tongue saying those words. Picking himself gently off the ground, he rubbed his wet eyes with his forearm, "That's what I am afraid of...the whole time you were taking your "nap" I was on edge...I just felt so scared, I didn't think I would ever feel like that around someone I trusted..."

Aiden then gazed at Seth with defeated eyes, he looked suddenly worn and drained of any energy, sending a chill down the ebony haired teen's spine.

Oh jeez, he never thought the Aiden could even MAKE an expression like that...

Seth cleared his throat and broke eye contact with Aiden, patting down his dirtied pants. He felt very uncomfortable as Aiden kept staring at him with those sad eyes.

He should have known something like this was going to happen sooner or later! He didn't trust her the moment they met. But Aiden sadly had to find out the hard way...and Seth ACTUALLY felt awful about that.

"You can't even trust old friends here Aiden, you should have figured that out by now," Seth said, feeling very unsteady as he tried to walk away.

"You can't even trust-"

He almost collapsed to the ground if it wasn't for Aiden being there to catch his arm.

"Dammit," Seth growled in frustration. He had over exerted himself. All the yelling and moving about so carelessly had left him exhausted. It was not like himself to be caught in such a weak state, he usually took so much better care of himself. Sweat rolled down the side of his head as Aiden helped him to stand upright.

"I guess we should get some rest then..." Seth hissed, cursing at himself for being such a burden.

"I guess..." Aiden said, there was no feeling behind the words as they moved toward the pile of foliage.

((OH JEEZ. I was going to respond to you last night, but my stupid computers internet dropped and wouldn't let me on for the rest of the night >___< And I'm sorry!! D:!!!))

It was hours until she decided to keep moving, dragging her feet with no purpose. Just to move.

"Forgive me Aiden..Jace...Seth..."

She trudged along with sad, dead eyes, the fire in her long faded to mere embers. She didn't know and didn't care where she was going. Just walking till she died of starvation or another Tribute found her. Her thoughts then became reality.

"whoo-OOSH!"

Pain ripped through her right leg as she heard that familiar sound. She yowled in pain and dropped to the ground, an arrow now lodged in her calf. Staring at it with shock, she reached to grab it when a heavy object slammed into her head, knocking her back down into the dirt.

"Well! Look what we found, Rat!"

Hands curled in her dark hair and forced up her head. A male and a female Tribute sneered down at her, a bow in the hand of the girl the male called "Rat". Fina just stared up at them with blank eyes. Certainly not what they expected.

"What's wrong with her, Gralen? Jenner said she'd fight back!"

Rat growled, kicking Fina across the cheek. Fina growled as more pain shot through her leg, Gralen grinning and throwing her back to the ground, kicking her hard in the gut. She wheezed and coughed harshly, eyes clenched shut.

"She's half dead already as it is! What a waste..."

Gralen snarled at her, lifting her up and wrapping his large arms around her neck and shoulders.

"Listen, Girly. Kade said we could have a little fun if we found ya."

His breath tickled her neck as he growled in her ear, arrogance laced in his words. He gave a quick glance at Rat and she approached, grabbing an arrow from the quiver and twirling it in her fingers. Fina only glared an empty glare, not even trying to break the boy's grip. All the fight was gone from her fire colored eyes. Rat grinned a toothy grin as she suddenly lightly touched the tip of the arrow to Fina's wounded collar bone.

"Fight back, Serpent!"

The teen yowled, driving the arrow head into the wound. Fina's eyes widened and she screamed. Her yell was filled with pain and sadness, agony and loneliness. Gralen laughed from behind as her head dropped, sweat pouring down her face, her breathing ragged and broken.

"N-No....I..have no reason to fight back..."

Fina's voice was hoarse, pain still radiating from her.

"So..go ahead....kill me...and be done with it.."

(( Wow...Dang Fina! Do SOMETHING! >< ugh...Anyway that perfectly fine. >3< No worries <3 Need a little excitement. ))

Seth's head pulsated, he could hear his own heart beat loudly in his ear as he reclined on his make shift bed Aiden had quickly made. He groaned loudly, letting his body become limp and relax, hoping that his heart would settle down after awhile.

The moment he woke up, he was thrown into another stressful situation.

It never ended in this damn game.

He reckoned by the time everyone else had finished each other off, he would ALREADY be dead from stress.

Couldn't he have ONE day without someone flipping out on him?

Seth pinched in between his eyes, as if it would stop his head from throbbing so much.

Everyone absolutely HATED him.

Not like that wasn't normal.

He wouldn't be surprised if Aiden was on that list now, with the way he had treated his friend, it was certain.

He hated having to make the hard choices for everyone. Fina had to go. His job was never done...

"About Fina-" Seth began as Aiden settled down not to far from him, "You know I was just looking out for our best interests...right?"

The blonde was silent as his dreary eyes glanced at Seth, Aiden moved his head slightly in acknowledgment as he turned his gaze back to the rock wall.

Aiden would have lied if he didn't feel sort of relieved that Fina was gone...all his anxiety that he had after she tortured that Tribute seemed to dissipate as soon as she left camp. There was a point where he actually forgot she did such a dreadful thing, while he was drowning in the river...when she took care of him...it was like her bout of madness never happened.

WHY COULDN'T THINGS GO BACK TO LIKE THEY ALWAYS WERE?!

Tears were once again escaping his eyes, Aiden closed them tightly, at an attempt to stop them. He clenched his jaw tightly as he suppressed his cries.

He thought he ran out of tears to cry...

Before he knew it, the blonde was bawling loudly, which alarmed Seth as he sat up and turned to look at the quivering, bruised figure.

...He hated this feeling he had inside of him...

Seth was speechless as he watched him sobbing.

He took Seth's side...

Aiden only knew him for a couple weeks!

He knew Fina ever since he was young!

And he chose him over Fina when he listened to him and stayed behind.

"Come on Reeves-" Seth grumbled, he patted his shoulder awkwardly as he spoke,"stop..."

Seth was no good at this whole consoling thing.

Compassion was something he was not used to showing other people...not receiving much of it when he was back at his District.

Aiden wouldn't stop sobbing, which was starting to annoy the blue eyed teen.

"Reeves-!"

Seth's heart stopped.

His shoulders suddenly tensed up at Aiden's sudden touch, his golden locks buried in his coat as he cried into his chest, which left Seth feeling awfully uncomfortable. His nose wrinkled as he forced himself to tolerate it.

If this is how he would settle down...then fine.

"Fina took care of you Seth, that means something to you-right? That means she not all bad-" Aiden blubbered, then cursed himself under his breathe for asking such a thing as he continued to sob, his hands clutched tightly to Seth's gray coat.

Granted, Seth was grateful that Fina took care of him-brought him basically back from the dead, but that was not an excuse for her actions.

He did not take those kind of things lightly.

"She could have left me to drown in that river-"

Why could he just tell him all this tomorrow?

"I was so afraid-"

Aiden's mouth was pouring out so many confessions left and right, it made Seth's head spin.

"Alright alright-sheesh Reeves, settle down. I'm not a freakin' psychiatrist-you can tell me what you need to tell me tomorrow..."Seth groaned, his eyes were barely open as he continued to watch Aiden cry on him. Seth tried to pry the blonde off of him, but he held on tight, not willing to let go.

When Aiden would finally wear himself down with this crying, the two could finally get a good night's rest...at least that's what Seth had hoped.

He had an unsettling feeling and he didn't understand why.

It wasn't because an almost full grown boy was using him as a handkerchief...

Was it because Fina wasn't there with them?

That might have been the case, he was so used to her presence, it seemed...strange to him.

((Oh noooo Fina D:!!!!))

The Tribute's onslaught continued without pause, beating and toying with Fina till the girl could barely move. She quivered and shook on the ground, gasping with every pained breath.

"Look at you now..Pathetic."

Rat hissed, kicking the battered body one more time at her feet. Gralen sneered and took out the sword on his hip, grabbing her head and putting the sliver blade to her throat.

"Wait a minute Gralen."

The boy glared up at Rat, irritated at her for stopping his next kill.

"I can track where she came from. I bet her little friends will be happy to see you again."

Fina tried to snarl in warning but it was barely audible, blood dripping from her teeth and lips. By then blood covered the ground where she lay, along with splatters on the trees and brush. Her leg and shoulder burned in agony, precious blood hitting the ground in dark drops. Without hesitation, Gralen curled his fingers in her shirt and dragged her along, Rat taking the lead.

It took several hours until the trio reached the river, losing the trail somewhere around noon and estimating the rest of the way. Fina, by then, was barely conscious, only registering the familiar sound of rushing water. The two Tributes began to bicker to each other when Fina opened her eyes. Everything was so blurry, but the water she understood. A chill traveled up her spine.

"They're close...Too close...I have to...get the Seth and Aiden FIRST!"

Fire lit her eyes as she finally retaliated, hefting up her heavy body from Gralen and plunging into the freezing depths. The last thing she heard was the Tributes yelling, but she couldn't make out words as her head sunk under water. She wailed under the torrents as the arrow, still lodged in her leg, smacked against rocks, eventually snapping the end shaft.

She fought for air for what seemed like forever, battling the rushing, freezing current. Finally, she gained a foot hold, clutching onto a large rock and dragging herself onto the shore. She coughed up at least a gallon of water as she laid there, gasping for breath. Her sudden burst of strength was long gone. She could barely even open her eyes, seeing only big blurred shapes and colors. Blood still poured from her shoulder and leg, leaking onto the stones and pebbles in streams. Her heart beat slower and slower with every breath as her vision slowly faded to black.

Aiden....Seth....get..get out of here...

(( Its up to the boys now >3< Will they save Fina or leave her? Tune in next for the exciting conclusion! i need to pee...))

Seth was still up by the time dawn broke. Fresh dew speckled the vegetation around him, a fog was starting to roll in as he sat. Dark bags were under his eyes as he whipped his face, his fingers dragged along his skin as he wearily groaned.

All night.

He has been up almost ALL night.

The idiot had basically told him his life story before actually falling asleep...

And after that, he STILL couldn't get away from him to get some rest of his own.

Seth sat in an Indian style position, his elbows were propped on top of his thighs for support as he pressed the palms of his hands against his burning eyes.

Why did Aiden have to make him his personal pillow...

Thankfully, he detached himself from Seth and sprawled out onto the grass in a twisted position like usual, only a couple minutes ago; which meant peace at last for Seth.

'He sure does move a lot while he sleeps,' Seth noted. 'Aiden when you wake up, I swear I am going to kill you.'

It wasn't until the afternoon Aiden finally awoke from his slumber. Seth greeted him with a smack to the back of the head, then proceeded to complain about how he didn't get any sleep because of him.

Aiden rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he listened to Seth grumble, the blonde muttered words to himself that even he couldn't understand.

"Fine Seth fine-sorry," Aiden mumbled.

"TCH."

There was an awkward silence for a moment before Seth asked, "How are you feeling?"

"Great...thanks," the blonde faked a smile, his off colored face strained to do so as he stood.

The black haired teen's eye's narrowed, noticing this right away. Seth could tell the difference between Aiden's real smile and when he was faking it. He was so easy to read, the blonde was still no where near his bright and perky self. Seth thought that after a night of talking about Aiden's "feelings" and such, it would sort everything out going on in the little messed up brain of his and he would be back to normal.

But noooo-

Seth sighed, annoyed that the blonde was still upset over the whole ordeal. He turned to him and reached out to touch his shoulder.

"Aiden I-"

"HEY! COME BACK HERE!!

The distant shouting caught both of the boys attention, they listening closely as it continued.

"Do you think-"

"They found her?"

"Yes."

"Perhaps, but seems unlikely, you know her-"

"But what if it is! We need to go check!" Aiden barked, snatching his sword up in one swift motion. He turned to head out of their hiding spot, but a shadow cast quickly over him.

"Don't be stupid, they are probably just after some other Tribute," Seth growled as he stood in Aiden's path, "forget about it. If you go running out there, they will notice you-"

"Seth, I really don't care about that right now-" Aiden interrupted, a fierce stare was now on his face, "You are just being a COWARD! If it is her, I am NOT going to leave her to die, like you seem so keen to!"

Seth was stunned by Aiden's back talk; his eyes became cold as he glared back into those emerald hues. He opened his mouth to retort, teeth bared as he kept his voice low, "REEVES-"

There was no time for this!

Aiden pushed roughly past him and stamped out, right into the forest in a hurry.

"Go! Go and get yourself killed, see if I care!" Seth said with a snarl as the blonde left him.

If Seth was not going to come with him, so be it.

He would face the Tributes by himself if he had to...if they were after Fina...or not.

Seth growled angrily, shaking his head as he watched Aiden vanish within the trees. STUPID STUPID STUPID! Aiden was being such a whiny, moody little brat lately!

He? A COWARD?

HA!

Seth paced for a moment before letting out a frustrated yell.

"Rrrrrg. DAMN-"

He rolled his eyes before he stood, picking up his blade before heading after him.

Aiden headed towards the voices, sneaking along the tree line, he could barely see the tops of their heads over the thick brush when he arrived. He observed them quietly behind a tree, watching the two yell and start a fight with each other, both were blaming the other for their prey..."getting away."

Aiden gulped as he listened to them speak. The boy was being yelled at by the girl called...Rat? Well, the male was horribly intimidating physically, despite his age. Regardless, he was slightly cowering in fear as the girl chewed him out.

As for the girl-

Well. Aiden had seen better looking girls-no wonder why she was called, "Rat."

Other than that, she was actually well built, but she had a un-natural air to her that sent a chill down his spine.

"How could you let her get away Gralen?! How the HELL did she get out of your hands?!"

"DOES IT MATTER? She's probably dead anyway now Rat-with those injuries-"

Aiden held his breathe as they scolded each other.

"The POINT is to keep them alive for as LONG as possible Gralen! I really wanted to see the light in her eyes die and see her take her last breathe..."

"It would not have been much fun, it was like beating up a sack of potatoes, she was boring as hell," Gralen reasoned, "It's not a complete loss though Rat-we still have those other two that was with her, they would probably put up a better fight. Sure we can find them around here somewhere..."

Aiden's heart sank as he heard the last of that sentence.

So. They DID find Fina...but now where was she?!"

Aiden just reacted. He felt so angry as he charged at the two, not even waiting for the right moment to attack. His noisy approach alerted the pair right away, so by the time he was on them, they were waiting. The boy Tribute's dusty brown hair shifted slightly in the breeze Aiden has created from his sprint. He stepped aside as Aiden blew past him, grabbing a hold of the back of his shirt, Gralen flung the blonde back and onto the ground.

"OOF."

Aiden's weapon slid across the ground and away from his grasp, but he didn't seem to care as he jumped back on his feet.

"You MONSTERS! WHAT DID YOU DO WITH FINA?!" Aiden bellowed, charging at Gralen with a closed fist, he tried to hit him, but he was once again thrown into the dust.

"Aw. How cute. Gralen, he actually thinks he can take you on." The two chuckled a bit as Aiden growled in frustration.

This was NOT funny!

"Awww come on kid, try to hit me-just once?"

Aiden once again threw another fist at the boy, but every time, Gralen would dodge it with ease, as if Aiden was moving in slow motion. With every miss, the two Tributes would hit him, they were having fun toying with him. Every time he tripped up, another laughing fit would ensue, which made Aiden feel pathetic as he raised himself off the ground with shaky arms.

"Heh-Gralen-please that's-hahaha-enough now."

As Aiden flung himself at the brute again, he was caught by surprise when a knee was thrust into his abdomen. It knocked the wind out of him as Aiden fell onto his knees, coughing and hacking and he struggled to breathe. Gralen intertwined his thick fingers in Aiden's hair, he jerked his golden locks roughly, hanging him up and off the ground. Aiden grabbed onto the brute's arms, trying to pry his hands off of him. He kicked up dust from the ground as he struggled, suddenly feeling very weak. Hearing their voices though mock him made him surge with a burst of energy as he started kicking on the brunette.

"Oh, this one is more persistent to kill us than the last one!" Rat smiled, "this should be a lot more fun."

"What-did you to do-to her-" Aiden snarled through gasps, he felt so hot and sweaty as the brute dangled him from his own hair.

"Auuuhh-" Aiden hissed as Gralen tugged on his locks more, feeling as if it was going to come out of his skull completely.

"She went...for a swim." Rat answered in a nonchalant way, brushing the hair out of her eyes, she glanced over to the sword the lay a couple meters away from where they stood. A sadistic smile crept on her face, an idea has struck her.

"Hey, it looks like he brought a toy for us-shall we?"

"TWA-SHING!"

"AUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Aiden was dropped onto the ground, his scalp felt relieved that his hair was no longer being ripped out. He landed awkwardly on his ankle, feeling a rushing pain go though it, Aiden drew in a sharp breathe. He scrambled backwards away from the two as fast as he could towards his sword, before he tried to stand.

"Jeez, took you long enough!"

Aiden was answered with a fake laugh, his eyes met with that serious face of that District 2 soldier.

"I swear, can't leave you alone for two friggin' seconds without you getting yourself into trouble," Seth huffed, sword drawn, the shiny metal dripped with a metallic red. The victim of the assault was yowling in pain off to the side, a good gash lay across his face where his ear once was. Seth looked to pained Tribute, a large frown was on his face as he looked down at the blood stained metal, "I never liked these things," he said, tossing his sword into the bushes, "hand to hand combat like real men, right here, right now."

Seth...with his fair fights...

Aiden's face screwed up at the sight, Gralen's partner stood in shock as she looked back and forth at the two. The Tribute had ceased his yowling, the white's of his eyes were red with tears. His teeth gnashed together as he breathed heavily with anger, thinking that the black haired teen was mocking him. Aiden still struggled to gain footing, his leg felt unsteady as he tried to pick up his weapon.

Now was her chance.

Without warning, Rat lunged at Aiden, knocking him back over onto the ground. He grunted loudly at the sudden impact, now only seeing sky.

"REEVES WATCH IT-"

"SSHHHHING."

Aiden rolled just in time, the blade came right down and pierced the ground where he once was. He starred wide eyed as the messy dark haired girl struggled to pull his sword out of the ground.

"REEVES-NOW-"

"I can't hit a girl-"

"SMACK!"

Aiden was hit hard across the face with an open palm, he fell backwards in a daze, Rat was right on top of him in a hissing rage.

"How DARE you!" Rat growled, smacking him in the face once again. Aiden flinched at the sting, he raised his arms across his face for protection as she mercilessly attacked him. He could hear a major scuffle going on now as he kicked her off and away from him.

"REEVES. Now is not the time for your stupid honor code-or whatever the hell you call it-" Seth scolded, "Just-FIGHT-GRAH!"

"TA-THUNK."

"AUGH!"

"WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF SETH-STOP HUGGING THE DAMN TREE ALREADY AND PAY ATTENTION!"

Seth shot the smiling Aiden a glare before he launched himself from the base of the tree and at the young brute.

"You-YOU-" Rat yowled, she grabbed onto the now standing Aiden, "The hell do you think you are?!"

"I am Aiden Reeves from District 4-single..."

"TWACK."

"YOU COCKY LITTLE-" Rat screeched, not even finish the rest of the sentence before she punched him in the face, making him slip back onto his bum, "DO YOU THINK I AM WEAK-IS THAT IT?! IS THAT WHY YOU WON'T ATTACK ME? OH, I WILL SHOW YOU-!"

Rat had her hands around his sword again, this time she pulled it out of the ground, thick dirt covered the blade. A sinister grin was on her face as she turned to him, no way was he getting away from her this time! Aiden crouched not too far away as she approached. The dark haired girl charged at him, at the last minute he threw himself out of the way as she slashed through leaves.

"You can't dodge forever!" She laughed, thrusting the sword at him.

She was right. Aiden was starting to tire out as he narrowly escaped each and every strike.

One hit with that blade and it was game over.

The blonde fell forward as she attacked again, this time she took advantage of Aiden's injured foot and knocked the blonde over.

"Hnnnn-" Aiden moaned, his foot burned like mad as he tried to move it. The blonde's breathing was off, sweat was rolling down his reddened face as he tried not to put too much weight on his injured foot.

"Looks like you can't run anymore...how sad."

Rat strode towards him, rolling the blade in her hand. Her eyes were bright and filled with enjoyment as she watched him pitifully try to move away from her.

"I really hope you lived your life to the fullest boy," Rat said, raising the sword above him, "Because this will be the last time you ever will ever see the light of day again-"

"AAAUUUUUUUWWWAAAAAA!"

"KABOOM!"

The sound pierced Aiden's and Rats ears, Rat dropped her sword and spun around at the sudden burst of sound. Her breathing ceased as she saw the limp body of Gralen, a sharp tree branch stuck through his chest. Seth was under him, blood dripped on him his jacket as he knocked him over.

"Now why did you have to go and do that..." Seth growled, looking at his jacket in disappoint, he then glanced back to the Tribute he had just slain. Seth then turned his attention towards Aiden and the girl, a fierce gaze was on his face as he took a step forward. He was dirty and bruised, blood tricked from his nose and mouth, spraying into the air as he coughed.

"You better run," Seth spat, "I am not-so gentlemen like as Reeves is."

Rat took one wary step back before dashing off into the trees.

"Figured," Seth snorted, whipping at the blood that was on his face.

Aiden was leaning back, a look of shock was on his face as he starred at the dead Tribute.

"Seth...what did you do?"

Seth took one look at Aiden and paused, his eyes scanned the blonde's features.

"You look like hell."

"Oh-THANKS-if I look like hell, then you must look like roadkill."

"Pfft."

"But Seth-"

"He did it himself..." Seth growled, stumbling towards him, "That nitwit-ran right into the damn tree branch-"

"How-"

"How do you think Reeves? He took one step after the other-"

"NO-I KNOW that but-HOOOWWW."

Seth's face scrunched up, almost as though he was disappointed Aiden didn't watch his fight, "It fell on me when he knocked me against that stupid hunk of wood. I kicked him past that rock right there-" he pointed to a mossy boulder that was barely visible against the green grass, "he turned, tripped over that rock and ran straight into it...hugging trees is VERY dangerous to do Reeves-he should have been more careful," a tiny smirk came across his face for using Aiden's joke against him.

Aiden stared at him through half lidded eyes, with an un-amused look on his face, he sighed,"Well...your timing could have not been more perfect..."

"I see you didn't listen to me," Seth said, getting down to his level, he examined Aiden, "if I was not here, you would have already been dead Reeves-what in the world happened to your leg-"

"You did."

Seth's eyes narrowed at the comment before turning his attention back down to his ankle, touching it lightly, "Well, maybe if you would learn to land on your freakin' feet Reeves-"

"I am not a cat Seth."

Seth grumbled, "We need to take you as far away from here as possible, we let that one Tribute go and now she is probably getting others to help kill us-did you find out if they were after Fina?"

Aiden's eyes widened as he spoke her name, he then said in a rushed voice, "They were! They had her-but after that, they said she went...swimming."

Seth glanced toward the river that lay just behind him, a large frown was on his face, "No way she could survive that Reeves-if they hurt her-"

"Well I didn't hear cannon fire, which means she is still alive," Aiden protested, standing to his feet, he used Seth as a support, "I am not leaving until we find her Seth!"

Seth shook his head in disgust, seeing that Aiden's eyes were beginning to water up, "Whatever you say Reeves, but if we don't find her by nightfall, she is going to have to fend for herself."

Aiden immediately began searching, his eyes darted around him as he frantically looked about.

"FFIIIIIINNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Fina where are you?????" Aiden called, he limped across the ground along the river. Seth trailed not too far behind, catching Aiden every time he kept toppling over from his injured foot.

'He should not be on that ankle...he's going to make that injury worse,' Seth thought, but he said nothing as he helped Aiden along. The stubborn blonde was not going to rest until Fina was found.

And that was that.

((Son of a barrel I was in such a writers block when making this xDDD Sorry if it's crappy and sorry it took freaking foreverrrrr D: ))

That voice....I know that voice...

She was so cold. Her body shook uncontrollably, her breaths coming out in ragged and shaky gasps. Fina forced her eyes to open, trying to make out all the shapes in her still blurred vision.

Aiden....that's...*cough*..Aiden's voice...

Her weak fingers curled into the gravel, as she tried to move, groaning loudly at every breath. Teeth clenched shut, she commanded her legs to move, somehow hauling her body up on trembling feet. She took a step forward and fell to one knee, hissing as pain shot through her calf. A quick reminder of just how beat up she was. Blood covered her palm and knuckles as she weakly clasped it over her shoulder, blood still seeping from the open wound. Cursing her legs to move, she grabbed onto a sapling with a blood soaked hand, unable to move her right arm.

Get up, DAMMIT!

She could barely hear the shuffling of feet coming towards her. Her dead eyes stared up at the sound, only seeing white spots and blur. But that golden color, she knew. That voice was unmistakeable.

"Aiden...."

She rasped out the name, barely a whisper as she again fell to her knees, trying to stay conscious. The shuffling grew louder along with that familiar voice, unable to make out words besides her own name. a massive tremor rocked her body as she shook, feeling herself fall forward as relief rushed over her at hearing those boys again. Life flickering back to her fire colored eyes for a brief moment.

(( GOD i love your posts!>3 And sorry that mine is so short but there's not much Fina can do at the moment plus i felt fear hit me when i read the part where Aiden's ankle got hurt....i bet you know why >< ...Plus i'm back to drawing sad pictures so expect one to be post soon ....i wont lie..i cried...while drawing it. Not done yet but almost. ))

“REEVES. YOU NEED TO STOP.”

A rough voice barked behind the blonde, whose green eyes fiercely gazed up at the black haired teen. Aiden had once again fallen to the ground, his ankle refusing to move any further as he struggled to stand. It felt like hours had gone by since they started looking for Aiden’s lost friend. It very well could have been, at the pace they were going, they were not making much progress with Aiden constantly trying to become "one with the Earth."

“No, I can’t-“

“You idiot-“ Seth interrupted, placing a firm hand on his shoulder to keep the blonde from standing again,“you CANNOT continue on with that injury, you are just going to make it WORSE!” Seth’s teal colored eyes were bright with concern, which startled Aiden a bit.

“I understand you are just looking out for my best interests Seth, but I-“

“No. You don’t need to do anything. You have done enough for day,” Seth growled, his emotions did 360 as he said this, making the hairs on Aiden’s arms stand on end at the comment. The blonde felt hot as he glared daggers at his elder.

“What is that supposed to mean HARRIS.”

“You know what I mean Reeves,” Seth hissed, getting down to Aiden’s level, he started examining his damaged ankle once again. Aiden took this opportunity to complain about the ebony haired teen, but Seth ignored his complaints as he checked him out.

“Hell, this doesn't look good at all now,” Seth whispered to himself; his eyes narrowed at the swollen, discolored skin.

“I am not going to stop until I find her Seth. And you know what- I don’t think I like the way you-“

That’s it.

Aiden was forcefully pushed down into the dirt, a forearm of the strong teen pinned the blonde against the ground, his other hand gripped tightly around a steel blade. It hovered dangerously over the blonde’s bare neck, his body froze, seeing the weapon.

“Seth-what-“

“Look. If you don’t stay here and LISTEN TO ME for once in your damn life, I will kill you myself. You are too much of a burden as it is, I will not risk my life anymore for such a foolish child!”
Seth’s words stung Aiden as he took in a sharp breathe , staring back into the raven haired teens cold eyes, he responded, “You wouldn't-“

Seth was stone faced as he replied, “Don’t make me Reeves.” There was a deadly calm to his voice as he lifted himself from the ground and away from Aiden. He slipped his small knife back into the buckle of his boot and brushed off his dirtied knees, avoiding eye contact with the blonde. Aiden shivered a bit as he sat himself upright, eyeing the weapon strapped to Seth’s boot.

Heck, who was he kidding?

Of course Seth was SERIOUS. He was not the type to make a joke like that….

His heart hurt a bit at what Seth had said.

A burden?

He thought they were friends…

“You don’t have a say Reeves,” Seth growled threateningly as Aiden opened his mouth, “You are going to hide yourself away in that overhang over there until I come back.” Seth started to head off, not even looking once at the blonde.

“But-“

“Don’t worry….I will find her for you.”

And with that, he disappeared out into the river bed.

“FINNNAAA!” Seth called, as he pushed himself over rocks and mud.

This was stupid.

SO STUPID.

This was a death wish-him yelling at the top of his lungs for someone who could possibly be dead for all he knew.

Seth shook his head, before calling out again.

You better be grateful Reeves.

“FINNAA-“

”UGH!”

Seth stopped dead in his tracks, listening intently for the sound again.

“Aiden…”

“Fina?” Seth called lightly, his eyes darted around the ground before he spotted a dark, lifeless shape lying in the grass.

“Oh jeez….Fina…” Seth groaned, getting to his knees, he saw the bloodied cuts on her damp body.

“Don’t worry…I’m here,” Seth murmured, placing his palm gently on the brunette’s back.

((Oh goodness, hopefully this lives long enough on my BSofD computer to get to ya XDD I took some more medicine for this headache, so I was able to type something up really "quick." Sorry if the writing is crappy, haven’t wrote anything in a while xDDD Annnddd I totally made your character think they were hallucinating, because your comment said she saw/heard Aiden lol. Sorry ‘bout that xDDD By the way, that Linkin Park song, Castle of Glass makes me want to draw a PMV or something for it XDDD))

What...?

She struggled to stay awake, her entire body shivering from the cold water still clinging to her skin and clothes. The voice was familiar but she couldn't understand the words. It was jumbled and incoherent. Warmth press on her back and her muscles tensed, causing a sharp pain to travel through her shoulder and calf. She sucked in a gasp and coughed a bit.

"S-Seth...*cough*..."

Her voice was extremely shaky, opening her tired golden eyes to look up. The shape was blurred, but there was no mistaking it. She gave a small grin as she stared up at him, a hard shake making her breath falter.

"T-They...g-got me g-good..."

Fina tried to sound joking as she shivered on the ground. Very unconvincing. she moved her arms to her chest and tried to force herself up. Her shaking arms couldn't support her weight and she fell back down, hissing at the pain in her right shoulder. Her eyes traveled back up to Seth, an apology hidden in that weak glance.

"I'll..j-just be...a burden.."

She looked back down at the ground as she spoke, another shiver rocking her body.

"You..S-Should leave m-me..."

(( Its ok! i wouldn't be surprised honestly if she was lol >3 And Castle of Glass is a great song and you SHOULD!!! You posted!!! ))

”S-Seth…”

“Yes…it’s me,” Seth sighed, watching as the exhausted girl barely moved on the soaked soil.

”T-They…g-got me g-good…”

“I can see that,” Seth huffed. Resting his crossed arms on the top of his knees, he did nothing but watch with cold, un-moving eyes as Fina tried to move about.

“You need to stop moving Fina-“ Seth scolded lightly as the brunette tried to hoist herself up, only to collapse again back on the ground. “Stop moving for a moment, so I can get a good look at you…” He now hovered over her, his eyes focused on a rather bloody cut as he reflected on what the Tributes had did to her.

One fairly large open gash across the collar bone.

An arrow head lodged in the back of her calf-

The rest of Fina looked like she was used as a punching bag. Her skin was swollen and bruised and awfully pale, despite the discoloration. Seth crinkled his nose; a large frown was upon his face as he examined her.

These Tributes that they had faced were really brutal…

He had never seen such gruesome injuries in his life.

If he had known that they were capable of doing...THIS- then he would not have let that female Tribute go…

He placed his hands just above the middle of her back momentarily. Seth grumbled a bit, feeling her cold frame shake underneath his fingertips.

"I'll..j-just be...a burden.."

A lump caught up in his throat as she said this, remembering that he had said the exact thing to Aiden not too long ago. Seth snorted loudly at the comment, just finishing looking over her damaged body, he stood up, pacing a bit.

This didn't look good at all…

“Look, I am no doctor Fina-“

"You..S-Should leave m-me..."

“I could…” Seth sighed, looking out into the forest, “And on any other day, I probably WOULD have.”

He paused momentarily, shaking his head in frustration.

“But-you are stillneeded…” sounding too “soft” for his taste, Seth quickly caught himself, “You-still need to watch over that idiotic brat for me, so no way in hell are you leaving me alone with HIM.”

“Besides-“ Seth started again, glancing at Fina,” I owe you one. Now come on, we got to get you to some place safe and get you patched up.” The black haired boy then proceeded to kneel over and lift her off the ground, wrapping his arms underneath her own. Seth cringed as he did this, feeling his right shoulder lock up painfully from an “old” injury; but he carried on and soon had her up on his back as if he was giving a piggy back ride to a child.

((Sorry if this sucks, I am writing this while half asleep lol))

A pained grunt behind clenched teeth was the only sound she could manage. Pain ripped through her calf as Seth hefted her up, even the slightest bit of weight caused instant pain. Her collar faired no better. Fresh blood still smearing onto Seth's shirt. Her sight was still blurred and messy, white dots flashing in her vision at every little movement she made.

"grr-AAHH!"

Her breathing came out in short bursts as Seth finally got her on his back. She felt so vulnerable. So useless. So tired. The warmth of Seth's body heat was welcoming, her own still freezing cold and shivering like mad. It took all of her remaining strength just to stay awake at this point and now, even that was beginning to fade.

"I-I'm...sorry Seth.."

Her voice came out breathy. Almost a whisper. Every breath she took hurt. Every movement send a new jolt of pain through her. Eyes starting to close, she gave another shiver. Every blurred object now disappearing in the black of sleep.

(( NOOOOO!! ITS AWESOME!!! I wrote this in a hotel room so you're not alone. >3 I probably read your post close to 15 times cause of Seth! LOL!! I'm REALLY nervous about your next post though...please say Aiden isn't dead yet. >< ))
