Here's my entry to =skulldog 's contest
And who else to make a skulldog than Volky himself? Well, actually his shadow form (Still have to color and post his ref to the shadow form)

Of course I altered him some, like I didn't give him his usual long neck and dragon-like anatomy, though his body is longer here than normal canines, and his tail is really long, but a little more like a dog's than his normal tail. I also made his skull a deer's, since I was in the mood to draw a deer skull The horns are black since I didn't put the black on the skull where it is on his face.
That's wind... stuff coming out from his tail, and there are also shadows all around him... since it's his shadow form and he can move about in shadows and stuff
I put more colors into the bg, like red and orange just to give it a bit more dimension, and it seemed too plain and monotone with just the black, whites, grays, and blues.

The whole scene is really dark and ominous appearing, but Volknyr is in a sweeter pose, with his head tilted to the side and one paw up, so it's kinda an ironic piece

Overall, this was just a fun picture I suddenly got inspiration for. I'm not expecting to win anything, but it was a neat idea and I enjoyed drawing it, and I got to try new things
For the whole colored pencil part, I didn't use the colorless blender at all, but alcohol o3o It does work xD I liked using it, I'll definitely be blending more with alcohol in the future :3 Also, for the majority of the background, I put alcohol down first, and put watercolors down on top of that, and in some parts it gave it an effect similar to that of salt. Then I just splattered some black watercolor on parts to make them darker when everything else was dry c:
