This was an idea based on a meme I found on Facebook that I thought was such a Nate and Arya kind of dynamic. And it worked out perfectly to be in time for Valentine's. x3

Nate might not be holding a bouquet of roses or has a box of chocolates (though he would if he knew she'd want it!), but he knows that one pretty rose, some coffee, and reminders that he still thinks she's hot... for Arya, that's better than a hundred bouquets and a thousand chocolates. She might have self-esteem issues and doesn't always take compliments easily, but with Nate, he can say and do the right things to make her blush.

I almost didn't get this completed for today, but yesterday I got the chance to be home all afternoon, so I worked on this since I got home at noon until nine at night, coloring it and getting the finishing touches. I am SOO happy that the stars aligned that I was able to finish this and get the Valentine's Day timestamp for this!

When drawing the poses, I had intended Nate to act like a waiter at a fancy restaurant with his arm behind his back, but by the time I was done, I realized it looks like I did some sort of cheat by "hiding" his one hand. Truth be told, I just wasn't sure where to position his other hand and thought the waiter pose was more adorable. Looking at it now, I don't think it worked out exactly how I saw it in my head. At least Arya looks how I intended.

And fun little tidbit: the fonts in their dialogue is their official handwriting style! Nate's is naturally a headcanon (since he's technically a canon character), but Arya's is canon since she's my OC.

Also took this piece as an opportunity to play with shadows and shading in certain areas. And I had to find a rose tutorial because I had never drawn one before... I also went a touch overboard and overshaded the rose too.
