Because Berthold's the shit
It was hard to draw Berthold looking surprised because I found out he doesn't have eyebrows... for some reason
I don't think Riza had a bad relationship with her father, even though they were estranged. I mean, Berthold had to have trusted Riza if he entrusted her with his entire life's research, and then he felt bad for her when he was dying saying he couldn't do much for her and so on and so forth. I mean, I don't think they had a normal closeness of a father and daughter, but I think they had some sort of different close yet not close bond. If that makes sense
I could go on for a while about my thoughts on Berthold and Riza's relationship 
And especially here, when Riza's younger, and she depends on him to take closer care of her and stuff like that
Following in Riza's examle, I'm giving this picture to my own father
Oh, and just to clarify... the picture Riza drew is of her, her mother, and Berthold

I've definitely told you this eight-thousand times, but I love this picture SO HARD. I still can't believe this is your first time drawing Berthold. He looks perfect. I love his hair. And I don't know if I told you this yet, but for some reason I love his sleeve. You shaded it very nicely.
Riza, of course, also looks awesome. Her hair is so nice and shiny (unlike Berthold's lol). I just love her pose. She's just like, "LOOK AT THIS. BE PROUD OF ME." She's so cute.
And props on the background. You did very well on that. I know it wasn't necessarily easy, but it definitely adds to the picture. Silly Berthold with all his books...
And last but not least... That crayon tool is the shit.
