Ack! This sketch took me 2 hours alone! That's the most time I've ever put into a sketch! (Usually they take me 15 minutes)And I didn't use a reference either. The only reference I used was having my dad stick out his hand so I could draw it...
But yeah, I drew an SxR pic! Finally!
I guess Shadow was in some sort of fight? And then he just fell in the water, and Rouge jumped in to save him.
And that's all I guess....

Shadow panted, watching so he wouldn't get a surprise blow from his attacker and captor. They have been fighting for an hour straight, and both hedgehogs were battered and bruised.
The white and blue hedgehog, whom no one seemed to know his name, hurled a ball of energy, heading right for the ebony one. Shadow tried his best to dodge, but the past wounds slowed him down.
The blast threw him back, dangerously close to the cliff, below, a water fall with churning pitch black water. He growled, but he stopped dead when he heard cracking. He looked down just in time to see the ledge snap and break out from under him, and he reached out.
Rouge flew high in the air, and noticed the to rivals. She gasped at seeing Shadow, dangling desperately on the jagged cliff edge. He didn't have the strength to pull himself up, and his attacker's shadow casted over him.
Shadow growled, and dug his claws as deep as he could into the rock, secretly praying that the white hedgehog would help him. His eyes widened as the hedgehog bent don't and grabbed his hands.
Rouge started flying full speed for Shadow. She was worried sick. This was a life or death situation.
Shadow's attacker ripped his claws out of the rock, and for a few seconds, it looked like the mystery furry was going to pull him up to safety. But instead, he let go.
Shadow couldn't grab the rock again in time, and he sent out and bone-chilling screech as he plummeted towards the churning, unforgiving black water.
Rouge reached out to grab him, but he dissapeared under the surface. The air was knock out of him, and he fought desperately to find the surface. But the water was pitch black, and he could see a thing as he got slammed into a rock under the waves, knocking him out cold.
The bat dived in, and by pure luck spotted his glowing rings. She swam as hard and fast as she could, reaching out for him, praying she's be fast enough. Please be fast enough.

This pic almost looks like you could pass it off as a foggy... abyss (one of your favorite words ^^). No, but really. And don't get all "UGH MIRANDA SAYS IT COULD LOOK LIKE SOMETHING ELSE! THAT MEANS THIS PICTURE SUCKS! MY LIFE AS AN ARTIST IS OVER! 
No. Cuz it does look like water, but the way you colored it makes it look more mysterious... I love it
