Description
While the Lambda-class shuttle, manufactured by Cygnus Spaceworks, is something of a workhorse for the Galactic Empire. The vast majority of imperial officials from high ranking officers to Emperor Palpatine himself have their own personal Lambda-class shuttle. When General Grievous was made a Sith Lord, and declared supreme overlord of the Imperial Military, he was given a Lambda-class shuttle. He lost no time in modifying it to suit his tastes and his needs. First, he painted it in his signature red on black livery, with his personal Kaleesh warlord insignia emblazoned on its vertical stabilizer. Second, he remodeled its interior to make it into a mobile command center, with spartan living quarters allowing him to lead imperial operations from his shuttle if need be. He then hand picked the shuttle's crew from among the pilots of his own Terror Squadron. The shuttle's crew represent the few Terror Squadron pilots that are MOST loyal to Grievous, and jealously guard Grievous' shuttle with their lives, even from other imperials. To ensure the absolute security of their master's shuttle, the shuttle's crew performs all maintenance themselves with the aid of two R2 astro-droids, custom built and programmed for the task. Other Imperial droids have been destroyed and imperial ground crew and mechanics have been killed just for getting too close to Grievous' shuttle. Few other imperials are brave enough or foolish enough to approach Grievous' shuttle without HIS permission, and even THEN they won't approach unless Grievous is present to call his pilots off.
