I work at a movie theater. I stare at the new Lion King poster all day and I see the trailer all the time when I usher.I'm still unsure of how I feel about it.

I would've loved to see the art style lean more to something like this. Realistic but still expressive.
I have a weakness for 2D animation so unless they make some really good changes to the story then I highly doubt I'll enjoy it half as much as the gorgeously stylised original.

Me too. They're probably going to do like Beauty and the Beast and just add a new song. It's weird that they are going with photo-realism on an animated musical about animals.
It'll be different, that's all I know.

It'll be interesting to see if they make the story less childish and darker, since they are going with highly realistic CGI (a lot of people at work keep calling it "live action" even though they're are no actual lions acting lol)

Yeah I know, it's just hard to call it an animation when it's also part of the Disney's live action remakes XD. I absolutely loved the new Jungle Book, so I'm excited to see what the director will do for the movie. I specially wonder if they will remake the musical sequences as well or stick to the more realistic setting.
