Guess which movie Kat saw today?
So it's *raygirl 's birthday coming up this week, and with all the work I have on atm I figured I probably wouldn't get a chance to make something on the actual day, so here's an early birthday present!
If Ponyo had stayed a little fishie, I know for sure she would have met up with a Raygirl fish before long, and Raye would have taken good care of little Ponyo and they would have had endless fun swimming together! ^__^

Yeppers..I saw it in the theaters..I was so shocked when the theater I work at got the movie..usually this small town I live in doesn't get anime movies on the big screen. I'll be adding it to my Studio Gibli collection. Got all of them but: Porco Russo, Princess Monokoe ((think I spelled that wrong)), and The Cat Returns.

lol! I'm sure you're right! I only saw it once years back when it came out at the cinema but didn't think that much to it.. haven't paid it much mind since so it doesn't surprise me I spelt it wrong
I should watch it again sometime though.. I feel I may have dealt with it a little harshly

well I just remember being distinctly unimpressed.. i didn't think it was "bad" .. but I felt it tried to do too many things at once and so suffered as a result... the only thing I really remember from it now is Calcifer (sp!?) the fire demon thing.. he was cute and funny but the rest of the film was a bit of a non-event for me... perhaps I was just expecting it to be another spirited away.
I'm sure after a few years of disappointment I could probably watch it again now and realise it wasn't as bad as I first thought... - it's just my expectations that are different.

I think we caught the last showing in the cinema today (which is a crying shame that it's been out for such a short time.. especially as there were still plenty of people in the showing today, and not just kids actually, mostly adults!)
do see it if you get the chance.. if not it'll be worth picking up on DVD

SO ADORABLY CUTE! I would love to be a little fishy in Ponyo's world, full of brightly coloured muguphins and neon sea creatures and gold fish that turn into giant waves. What a wonderful world we'd frolic about, the best Octopus' garden there is
