I'm finding all sorts of old doodles I forgot about sitting in my art folder tonight 9_9

back-story:
In my mental AU, Toph is a live-in diplomatic representative of the Earth Kingdom at the Fire Nation Palace, thanks to conniving on Zuko and Iroh's part to convince her parents that she would be cared for. In reality, she has free reign of where she goes and what she does up to a legality point, and she wears outrageous clothes to keep the people of the FN court off balance to help give her and Zuko an edge against older advisers that they need to keep around but don't really like all that much.

As some banquet, Toph is standing off to the side, giving creepy vacant stares to people that she's marking as wary of her via their heartbeats. Zuko sidles up to her because he's bored as all get-out.

"For someone who chooses to wear their hair in their eyes every day, you spend a lot of formal events with it pulled back, staring into crowds and creeping out diplomats."

"You say that like it's a bad thing, Sparky.
... My apologies, Firelord Sparky." (derp, I spelled it wrong when I wrote it. ha.)

"...Also... who the blazes do you get to make those ridiculous outfits? It's a good thing everyone fears you too much to tell your parents I let you dress like that. Not the kind of international incident I ever want to deal with."
