The drive to Kentucky felt like weeks upon weeks instead of days. It took more time to get there thanks to Laylah and Crash complaining in the trailer, not to mention they also had to be taken out to stretch their legs once in a while. But after forever came to an end they finally arrived at BCS. Once the Titan came to a stop and the engine was shut off, Laylah and Crash began to call out from their trailer.
"Shh, quiet down! I'm going, i'm going!"
Susan had trouble controlling the pair, they jumped, and pranced around utterly happy and curious of their surroundings. Everything was green and there wasn't a place where one turned that there wasn't a tree instead of a cactus.
Crash was the most excited. His ears never ceased down as he turned his head in all directions and called to the horses he saw with a louder than usual call. Laylah on the other hand sniffed the ground pawing it on occasions. It felt nice to feel more grass than the usual handful.
"Crash stop! Calm down," Susan pulled on Crash's lead rope trying to stop him from pulling away and get him close enough to the trailer in order to tie him to it. Crash ignored Susan and swished his tail from side to side looking off into the distance and to the other horses. Laylah's stare never left Crash, her ears slowly began to lower back. With a huff she walked two steps forward and nipped at his shoulder. Crash turned his head sharply towards Laylah with teeth bared, the mare pinned her ears fully back and screamed in his ear causing the stallion to pull his head back from her and shake his head.
Susan almost face-palmed in that moment. She had to admit everyone was a bit crabby from the long drive perhaps a long walk would help them or maybe a good run, but there was no need to fight like cats and dogs. Crash lowered his head walking behind Susan who stood in between the mare and him. It was clear he didn't want to be around Laylah at that very moment, and neither Laylah wanted to be around him.
"No need to bite, nor kick, nor scream," Susan pulled both lead ropes and began walking. Laylah and Crash both followed, both on either side of her.
