This shot is amazing. The lighting, the negative space, the angle and the model's expression all connect to convey the depth of raw emotion she is feeling inside. I have been her before... well... ok maybe with out the hat and pearls and not so beautiful lit, but the emotions she is feeling. Definitely an intense piece.
What a beautiful model. As a full sized or plus sized or what ever you want to call me sized woman, it is nice to see a real sized woman looking beautiful, sexy, sensual and everything society tellswomen over the size of 4 they can't be. I hope you continue to work with her if you can!

What i really wanted to do with Shyly was capture her grace and beauty... and make the audience see it and feel what she's feeling. I'm not a size 0 magazine model either, so it was important for me to give her the credit and respect she's due.

great composition! i love the use of dead space and the off-camera lighting to provide even more drama. i'm intrigued by the use of a light background instead of the expected dark background for a shot of this title. a surprising twist.

There's so much to say about this piece, but I'll keep it short because I just can't seem to find words right now. The lighting, the contrast, the composition, the framing, the use of negative space, the pose... all is just fantastic! But the most fantastic thing about the shot is the model. Shyly is really beautiful and she's got such personality and charisma! I'm hope you will do some more work with her!

I came across this shot from a favorites shot on someones da page... And I just had to look closer at it.
She is beautiful, you have captured the entire thing just so amazingly. I must admit it was her more real size that drew me in, and I just want to see more of her.
She just radiates something that I can't pinpoint, but I want more.

The emotion and expression in theis piece is so completely raw and it tugs rather gently at the heartstrings. The caption is something that, I believe, tugs at something in all of us, something we all know and can realte to. The model is beatiful, the lighting is almost perfect.

Augh the agony. I have tried and tried and tried to find a way to articulate my thoughts on this piece and I just can't seem to do it. *y2jenn says so much with her observations. *sigh* Oh kat I feel like such a brain dead lump trying to express everything. But this image tells so many stories. Your model is so beautiful and her expression so completely raw....maybe when my head is in the right place I'll be able to give you better feedback.

this is delightful, in so many ways.
First, technically it's wonderful. the way it's framed, with her on the left, filling up almost all of it, the crispness, the detail.
I love her expression. She seems sad but willing to deal with life, strong but melancholy, still loving life.

I like how her eyes are looking down, like shes staring in to space with a purpose, analyzing her life.
