This story took place not too long ago.

Summer and Autumn are identical twins. However, even though they look exactly the same, their personalities are very different. Autumn is more energetic, like her big brother Blaze, and more social than her sister. She loves playing outside and hanging out with her friends.

On this particular Saturday, there was a heavy thunderstorm outside, so the whole family was stuck indoors. Summer was enjoying herself in the bedroom drawing, but Autumn and Blaze were bored. They spent the day in the basement play room, since it had the most room to play in, and the two took turns on the swing they have attached to the floor, jumping into their ball pit, or bouncing on Blaze's big yoga ball. They did have fun, but not as much fun as they would have had outside.

Finally, the rain slowed down, and once they got permission from their parents, Blaze and Autumn went out into the backyard to play and burn some of their energy, while Summer stayed inside to keep drawing. There were some puddles in the yard, so Blaze and Autumn ran through them, splashing each other and laughing. They were pretty soaked by the time they finished, and by then, the rain had completely stopped, and then was starting to come out. It was warm, so the puddles, between the sun and having been splashed in, were disappearing pretty quickly.

Blaze decided to jump on the trampoline, while Autumn spotted her skipping rope in the grass.

AUTUMN: Oops, I guess I left this out. Hmm..

She decided to start skipping. Autumn's pretty good at skipping rope. She can cross her arms, jump really fast, and even walk as she's jumping. She started practicing her tricks as Blaze did tricks on the trampoline.

BLAZE: Hey, Autumn! Betcha can't do this with your skipping rope!

He did a super quick spin-jump in the air and landed.

AUTUMN: Sure I can!

Autumn jumped and spun while still skipping. She didn't spin quite as many times as Blaze did, but it was still pretty impressive.

AUTUMN: See? Now watch this!

She crossed her arms and jumped 4 times in a row before uncrossing her arms.

BLAZE: That's pretty cool too, I guess.

Autumn then decided to start doing her favourite skipping rhyme.

AUTUMN: High, low, medium, slow, walksies, talkies, pepper shakers!

She continued saying this chant over and over until she missed at the word "walksies".

AUTUMN: Since I landed on walksies, now I have to walk around while I skip and sing.

So she did.

AUTUMN: High, low, medium, slow, walksies, talkies, pepper shakers!
BLAZE: So each one has something you need to do if you miss on it?
AUTUMN: Darn, I lost track, but yeah. High means you jump as high as you can, low means you jump as low as you can. Medium is just normal jumping, slow means jumping slowly, walksies means I have to walk around, talkies means I talk, or someone talks to me, and pepper shakers means I jump super, super fast.
BLAZE: Ohh. I can do that on the trampoline too.

Autumn kept going, then she ended up landing on the word "pepper shakers"

AUTUMN: Betcha can't jump as fast as me, Blaze!
BLAZE: Bet I can!

So they both jumped really, really fast, with Blaze on the trampoline, and Autumn on the ground with her skipping rope singing the song. When Autumn landed on the word "slow", Blaze stopped too.

BLAZE: Whew! That was fun!
AUTUMN: Yeah! I'm glad I landed on slow. Now I can catch my breath a bit.
BLAZE: I can jump slowly too.

The two siblings kept jumping and playing this game together for the rest of the afternoon. They both had a lot of fun.
