Description
Another work in the new investigations into plasticising the ladders. They're becoming more and more anthropomorphic I suppose, although as previously mentioned, this wasn't my intention at the outset. But I am enjoying arranging them. They have numerous possibilities, and its very hard to chose just one composition - thus the multiple pictures.
Suggestions on favourites would be great!

These are surprisingly graceful structures. Very nice.

Oh my, this definitely has the feel of contortionism to it, such an awesome and beautiful work! Very intriguing idea... flexible ladders, who would have thought I find them perfect their own way!

Thankyou for your lovely feedback akhkharu! Flexible ladders, and so useless, which is somewhat of a metaphor for me.
Cheers,
K.

You should definately present images of the other views alongside the one you choose to set it in.

Yeah, I think thats probably the best way to put forward the idea that there's no 'set' configuration for these. In fact, I'd like people to be able to arrange them however they see fit!
Have to get some decent photos printed up.

I initially tried to form an opinion on the four variants when you first published them, but by that time I already had double vision, so that was a little too much information to focus on at the moment.
Tonight the fourth view isn't viewable to me, but I've been flipping through the three views I can see, trying to decide which I like the best.
And it's difficult.
The more I flip from one to the next, the more they look like a dance (a la: cirque du soleil).
Perhaps your title unintentionally put the image in my mind, but to me they're lithe contortionists twisting together in harmony, balance, and grace.
They move, and sometimes they stop, and you capture them there.
I have so much trouble in settling on the one frame of the dance that I like the best, but I think this is the one.
But ask me again next week, you never know. ^_^

This one goes in the "ladders" wing of the MuseumOfKate.

No,no...thats great that you see them like that. That's what I was hoping for. Although the first Contortions that I made I didn't actually have a figurative representation in my head, the second set became more deliberately figurative. I was thinking of wrestlers or dancers, basically two people interacting. Moving, pushing, pulling. Struggling away from each other or leaning on each other.
Hee hee! I know, I'm so close to obsessive compulsive with these bloody ladders its scarey!

I can accept your compulsion.
I just want to know where you're climbing to,
and what you see from such heights.
