Lil somethin for andThe whole thing was Matts idea, I just brought it into reality. I'm a little late since Jade already gave birth, but oh well. He suggested me to draw Nay giving some advice about the baby to Jade. She may be the oldest parent I'll ever know, but looks like she's loosing her cool here! This is kind of a risky move on my side, since Nayamandra has seen everything and is the queen and all that, but nobody can know everything, right? She is one of the best when it comes to keeping a big hive in order but she's not too experianced when having to deal with ONE child. At least that's how I see it.
The dialogue is a mess, but it was well after midnight when I was writing it...
Hope I did a good job on this one!

I love that the dialogue is getting more awkward for both of them the longer it lasts. Nayamandra is indeed quite clueless when it comes to mammal procreation. I mean, she knows how it works theoretically and she's been wondering a lot about how Jade's pregnancy even happened. I still don't know why StrainiiDraculs 's Xenos are reproducing like mammals and she doesn't know either. So the whole matter is pretty weird for her.Β
But she'll be the most wonderful sort-of-grandma for Sony, no matter what. <3

Hehe, yeah, I usually like to depict xenos being all about saving the species and reproducing more and more, I guess that can kinda stop you from completley learning how the rest of the animal kingdom does it. To be honest, I was a little uncofortable having decided that I'm gonna make Nay look silly. I can't really explain why, but I just did. But about Matts xenomorphs, I said it, and I'll say it again: that whole mamalian reproduction thing is a very odd choice, especially because the other option was the metamorphosis stages we all know.
And I'm just sure that she'll be an excellent granny, despite not being sure how she's gonna get the grandchild

I don't think you made her look silly. She's just utterly confused, because she didn't take into account that Slinky doesn't have kids like Xenomorphs normally do.Β To be honest, I'm quite uncomfortable with Xenos reproducing like mammals. One of the things I find very interesting and appealing about the Xenos is their asexual nature. Only the queen and her chosen mate are needed to procreate, so the rest of them is completely sexless. Also, that whole complexity of the Xenomorph life cycle is something that defines them, so every other approach appears odd to me. Therefore, I can fully understand Nay's confusion here. But as you say, she'll be an excellent granny, because no matter how this child came into this world, it will receive all her love. <3
