This piece reminds me of the moment when you fall back into - or rather, become one with the emptiness, inside or around you (well, it doesn't matter anymore, there is no inside or outside left). It's frightening to come back to a place that is no place, where the 'normal you' moves away for the unknown that has arisen, once again. The last thing you remember is your 'gasp'... and that's what I see in this piece today. I'm sorry if you don't like my personal interpretation.

when i look at this i am immediately reminded of something imagined. it is a girl inside of my brain screaming, "i'm trapped here in a bipolar mind"

Perhaps it's not so much about destruction as transformation? The melting outline of forms, here, seem to suggest a type of metamorphosis. We can only hope that the rebirth inspires as much awe as the decline.

In my understanding, safety is somewhat of an illusion, and complete devotion to safety can be seen as imprisonment. But I do hear what you're saying.

Well..... In my opinion safety is an illusion,freedom is an illusion....life is an illusion.. We try so hard to justify our existence .... Maybe existence is nothingness... i guess we all choose different illusions, defferent prisons.. We all live in a system wich educates us to belive in illusons and dreams..Dreams for the feature.. Future.... What is future? Who knows if there is any feature? I only accept the present , second by second,hour by hour ...Perhaps safety is "better" than an other illusion..
