An okapi drawn for class, a much nicer subject than nude women. I like him, might give him to my aunt since she likes critters.Charcoal on 8x11 bristol board.

I think you did a really good job of 'capturing' the soft fuzzylookingness of the okapi. I want to touch and kiss them!

This is beautiful!! I love okapi's they're my favorite mammal. Darn, I wish the ones at my zoo would stay still long enough for me to draw them. They're always either too far from the fence or they're walking around.

NOW we're talking. Love it! I thought at first it was a traditional horse portrait gone horribly wrong... but no, much better. ; )

Hehe! Nope, It's an obscure giraffe cousin... who was the only animal at the zoo to hold still long enough to be drawn.

Thank you very much!
I think you're one of the first to know that Okapi are related to giraffe, so many people think they're more like zebra because of those stripes. I haven't studied much into the history of their bloodlines, outside of the occassional very small section on them in bio-texts.

ha, i guess i like mammals too. WHAT THE HELL AM I TALKING ABOUT!? I love all animals. except for maybe pandas. the great panda, not the red ones. the red ones are good. but greater pandas are a fluke of evolution. Carnivoran mammals were never supposed to be vegetarians. or eat bambu. what the hell am i rambling bout now? i can't dictate evolution! *palm to forehead*
yeah, so i just don't like pandas.
i'm shutting up now.
