Description
I must have taken 100+ photos of this stupid fountain. It's from my third digital photography assignment. Mission: freeze water. High ISO needed to do so in this lighting, so it's a little grainy.Related content

I love how you captured the falling drops. Very pretty and majestic looking.

It's really amazing how cameras can capture what the human eye cannot. When I was given this assignment I was a little doubtful about frozen water looking cool in comparison to blurred water, but it becomes really fascinating as you take shots because our eyes just don't seen moving water like this!

I know, it is really interesting how it does that. I think it depends on the type of camera setting you have, too. My little digital would probably take blurry shots even with my motion capture on there. It doesn't perform very well. Is your cam manual?

That is a good point. I'm not sure how my cheaper cameras would have captured this. I bought a manual dSLR camera this fall for my Intro to Digital Photo class. It was a long overdue investment, but it was still hard, haha. I don't regret it, hopefully I become a better photographer with practice.

I'll be needing one of those cameras for my photography class that's coming up next semester. I'm really not looking forward to buying one, but it's a required class.
Good luck with your photography, though.

Ha, that was the exact same deal with my class! It's the reason it didn't get taken until much, much later in my college career. I don't regret the purchase at all, for what it's worth. : )
