Get your mind out of the gutter. It's a reference to one of the versions of Rapunzel where she outgrows her clothes due to her pregnancy. The witch or whatever she was called gets upset and throws her out from the tower, not literally I think. The prince in the story later on finds her and their twins and they go back to his kingdom.I reckon that the writers didn't want to include certain implications from the story and changed the story to not include her kids. Funny enough she's one of the very few princesses that actually gave birth in her original story that Disney got rid of. The other is Pocahantas who was a real person who actually had two kids.
