Decided to make an "before and after" to see how much I improved during the years, the first one is from 2009 and the second if from 2014I must say there's a bit of a different, at least when it comes to the technique and use of markers

It's actually amazing to look at: the first image looks so flat compared to the other one. The second image keeps the warmth of the cartoony first image but also adds depth and realism. It's fantastic, really.
