I say attempt...as I dont have a true program, and it's my fist ever one
Well, no internet when I woke up, so I was doodling around and opened up MSword as I havn't ever properly used the '07 version even though i've had it for ...ages
And, this is kinda what I made out of it =greenafire also has the epic-est vector emotes ya know~

Anyway, [link] is a free online image conversion. You can use that site to make transparent backgrounds for png files.

No problem, just be sure the background you want to get rid of is completely different from the colors in your work.

Use Illustrator to make the vector:
save for web and devices
open photoshop
save as
save as PNG
TADA! and you get a clear background!
