This should have been in the book. "Accio Hagrid" is now my favorite phrase. You can see the 'finished' version here , but I actually ended up liking the unshaded original better.Gasp! I'm drawing fanart! I usually don't, because I'm usually so far behind on whoever's birthday present I've been frantically trying to finish/ignore that I don't usually have time to do the stuff I wanna do, when I have time and/or the inclination to draw. Let's hear it for the lazy artist holding down three-jobs-two-volunteer-opportunities-one-band-one-choir-two-classes-and-a-partridge-in-a-pear-tree!
Anyway, fanart is fun, and I might do more if I feel the inspiration. First, though, the rest of KidK's present.

Oh, I remember this from the book. The moment Harry said "Accio Hagrid!" I imagined him flying through the air in the same manner I'd imagined how he'd look flying when he mentioned in the first book that he flew to the Hut-on-the-rock, and I kept giggling because the image was so hilarious. It was one of my favourite things in the series. I was a bit disappointed when it didn't happen in the movie.

I like the shaded one too and I think you did a really good job on shading it, but I think you're right that this one looks simpler. It's mostly just 'cause of all the black. =B; But I like that one too.

totally random... i was for some unknown reason thinking of what hagrid's weight would be (now i remember why, ron mentioned he and maxime's baby would weigh a ton). if he is about 2x the height and 3x the width of a normal man, should he be like 6x the weight? so would that be 1,200 pounds? anyway... lol
