Finally getting to upload this! I originally had the sketch for this done some time at the beginning of the year around the time I did the Lucian piece, but I never really got around to finishing it till now. Anyway, to continue the updated refs for Winnie's family, we have her older brother, Colden~ ❄

- Colden Igalls(20) is the older brother to Winifred, an ice mage, and currently a traveling mage within Jena Ito's group. At the beginning of his life, things were pretty peaceful. He lived in Tarrin, Everes with both his parents and little sister Winnie, and at his young toddler age he would just enjoy spending time at his Grandma's or hanging out with his sis at his dad's shop while waiting for his mom to get done with work. Yet sadly, this happy situation would not last as one of Tarrin's deadly fires broke out one night, burning down several buildings including his dad's shop. His mom had been one of the brave souls to help control it and put it out, but after everything had calmed down she was nowhere to be seen, and after some searching with no luck it was presumed by their town that she had 'died'. His dad Lucian did not want to stay there much longer and be reminded of his late wife, so he packed their things up and moved with his young children to Graystone to start anew. Now living in the southside of New Grayle City with his father's new shop doing a lot better than the Everes one, things seemed like they might lookup for the Igalls after the fairly traumatizing experience they went through back in Everes.
Yet for Colden, still being so young and with how attached to his mom he was, he never really could get over her and took her "passing" the hardest aside from his father, being quite emotional for a couple of years afterward and entered into a bit of a silent depression. In time he learned to suppress the emotions and bad memories associated with it, and when the topic of her gets brought up nowadays he can't find it in him to talk about her much, both out of fear of having those bad memories show up and also him having a potential breakdown he'd really prefer others never to see. Two of the biggest fears he has that he developed as a child are loneliness and losing anyone else close to him, the latter especially being prevalent when they first moved as he was and still is quite protective of his sister Winnie, using the aggression he had to defend them both from potential bullies during their beginning years of St. Ravilda's. Even if they don't always get along nowadays he still is a bit protective and greatly appreciates his sister for always standing by him in life even with all his troubles, and considers her to be like the "calming rock" during the hard times of his life. Even if he never really did have many friends growing up, aside from a few here and there that he eventually had falling outs with, in a way he truly does not mind as his sister sticking by him was enough for him.

While he has matured a bit from that side of him even if more in a tired and uninterested kind of way, Colden is still pretty sarcastic and sassy at times, his words not always appreciated unless by the few fellow snarky friends he has. Gives off a serious and kind of cold vibe at first that don't know him well, but if you can manage to get him to open up and share the deepest parts of himself, and he feels totally comfortable with you, he will prove to be a great and loyal friend to have. While at first after his graduation he truly did not know nor cared what he wanted to do, mostly staying at home and working(or really, slacking off/skipping and only working when he had nothing better he wanted to do instead) at his dad's shop, things eventually do seem to look up for him as one day a certain bubbly wind mage offered him a spot in her traveling mage group, and after several months spent traveling with them he never realized how much he would enjoy traveling and kind of honestly wishes he started doing so earlier.

Winnie herself is a prodigy much like her mother once was, having gained access to her abilities as a speed mage at a young age. This is part of why she entered into school a year early, though many don't suspect it as Winnie never showed off her abilities much as she's always been rather humble about them. Though this may be, her father Lucien did buy her a second mana stone as a graduation present for her, as even if he knows his daughter isn't much of a fighter herself he still wanted her to feel protected and secured in her abilities with an extra place to store extra power, in the rare case where she may need to use it. Winnie commonly wears this extra mana stone in the form of a decorative belt buckle.There was a time during her middle years of St. Ravilda's where she played a big role on the school's Zoomball team, encouraged by her old friend Tula who was on the team herself at the time. She was mostly a quiet player who preferred to stay on the sidelines at first, but in time she slowly gained the confidence to be a more active player. Her speed mage abilities especially came in handy when it came to the big game tournaments, where she was able to secure some tight wins for her and her school. They got married and had their children there, but after the deadly fire that happened in the town when Winnie was only two, the one that also seemingly 'took' Titaia's life, Lucian couldn't stand living in Everes anymore and being reminded of his wife so he made the decision to pack up their stuff and emigrate away to Graystone, to have a fresh start from everything.Although graduated now, Winnie didn't really have any plans post-graduation. Not that she genuinely didn't have any, but mainly she didn't know exactly what she wanted to do, since there was a lot of ideas running through her mind that all seemed so tempting and she didn't know if she could pick just one. At the moment she is currently just helping out her father by working in his shop, until she can finally pick something else to pursue. At least, that's what she tells herself and others, since what she's always secretly wanted to do was become a professional dancer, but she's a bit too unsure of showing off her skills in public or trying to get the attention of any big dance groups or companies out there. She hasn't really told anyone about that yet, though, and until she can work up the confidence to pursue it she feels fine just working at her father's shop for the time being.Loves a lot of animals, but her all-time favorite would be cats. Whether the big and more 'ferocious' ones like lions or tigers, or just your regular housecat, she's always liked them especially for their soft fur, since it was always something comforting to pet during stressful times for her. She currently has a little calico kitty of her own, named Muffins, who's a real sweetie but can be pretty distrusting of others at first. This is a thing she loves bonding with her friends like Raider over, as they often like setting up little playdates between their cats and taking lots of adorable pictures that they can't help but gush over whenever they seem them or show to others. Currently she just has Muffins since she's still living with her father at home, but when she eventually gets her own place she wouldn't mind adopting a few more kitties to have and care for~Compared to her friends, Winnie never had much of a romantic life so far. There were a few who found her cute when she was in school, sure, but to her knowledge no one ever really had much 'deeper' feelings for her beyond that. She also did not feel much of a romantic connection to others herself either, same for a couple crushes here and there, but that is mostly fueled from her demi side of waiting till she formed a special connection she truly felt comfortable with. Even now as a graduate and young adult her dating life hasn't improved much, since her work often keeps her busy from pursuing it further but also because she has a slight fear of rejection, and wouldn't want to start liking someone just for them to ending breaking her heart. There were a couple other fellow rebels in school that he befriended briefly here and there, like Prince Kain at one point, but he never could stick with them much and eventually had a falling out with all of them. The same could be said for him nowadays, but he does consider his fellow group members to be like his friends in a way, and he's recently made a new friend in the form of another ice mage, Lyra Montgomery(The-Moon-Witch's character), who was introduced to him by his sister Winnie since Lyra's one of her friends and she figured her brother could not just use more friends but also more friends he can relate to. Those two don't hang out as much due to both their very different and busy schedules, but whenever they do they like to do simple things like hangout at cafes and just complain about others or get any current frustrations they have off their chests to someone being a good pair of snarky friends.Nobody knows about this, but Colden secretly has a tattoo of his own. He got it done sometime after graduation in a rebellious act after storming out of the house due to a bad fight he had with his dad, and when he saw a parlor allowing walk-ins when he was walking aimlessly downtown he thought "why not?" and walked inside to see about getting one. He didn't have a huge want for one before, but thought it would be a good opportunity to get one done easily and kill some time before he would eventually have to go home again. He actually did not have a solid idea of what he wanted but when he was talking with the artist who would be doing it and discussing ideas with her, he eventually settled on getting two little snowflake designs on his lower-back near his side. The design being a simple one he thought wouldn't be too much for a first tattoo, and the location was more of an after-thought but he also kind of digs it with it not being a 'conventional' place for most tattoos on males you might typically see.Even if they don't always get along nowadays, Colden still appreciates his sister a lot for still standing by him in life, even with all his troubles. He considers her to be like the 'rock' during the hard times in his life, and even if he doesn't admit it much he cares about if she feels secure and happy with herself and in her life. Knowing that she is not a traveling mage herself and does not get out much in general, he likes to pick out little trinkets and other treats from his travels to bring back home as gifts for her.Similar to his sister he is very demi, and never really had many people crushing on him to his knowledge nor did he have many crushes or attractions to others himself either, being the type that wasn't very focused on romance for himself. He did have a girlfriend for a few months during his middle-late years at Ravilda's, but it did not go anywhere too serious between them and they eventually broke things off with each other after a while. It wasn't a bad relationship or breakup per say, but he has not pursued or been with any girl since then. Though things might be looking up for him more in that department in recent times, as there is a girl he's currently traveling with that has managed to capture and melt his icy heart a bit in her own unique way~- Marian BlakeleyNever knew her birth parents, haven been orphaned at a young age. She, nor anyone who worked at the St. Aurelia temple knew of what happened to them or how exactly she came into their care, as for all they knew she just showed up at their doorsteps one day as a young toddler. She remained at the temple for a few more years before finally a lonely woman, who had lost all her other family, came by looking for a child to adopt to fill the empty void in her heart and to have find some sort of companionship, having little friends herself. All the children there seemed like probable little ones for her to welcome into her life, but when she saw Marian she felt for the poor girl as it seemed like other hopeful parents who came by just brushed her off, all because she was a bit more 'trouble' than they were willing to deal with. So, she took it upon herself to adopt the young girl and even if they did have some problems with adjusting to each other at first, they quickly came to love each other as family.When Marian first arrived to the temple there was not any sort of records or identification on her, so for the longest time before she officially got adopted she had no official name. The workers and other children there called her some nicknames here and there, but nothing really 'stuck' for her to want to keep it as her name. That is, when she finally got adopted did she gain the name 'Marian', as it was the name from an old legend her adoptive mother always liked, and she herself liked it so that's what she went with~Marian was, what you could say, a 'problem child' growing up. Was always too curious about her magic and the world around her, which got her in trouble sometimes more often than she'd admit. Not that she purposely caused trouble, but still. It did always seem to follow her and her family in some way or another.Never went to an actual school growing up, as her mother homeschooled her instead as she did not want to risk anything bad potentially happening to her at one. As such, she doesn't have much experience with people her age, aside from the occasional visits into town, the other young maids/servants she works with, and the young nobles she sometimes works for as well. Though those interactions give her a very limited view of how her age group acts, as they aren't what could be considered 'normal people leading normal lives'.She absolutely loves taking a good sleep after long and tiring shifts, and as such one of the places she commonly spends her free-time in is her bedroom. Very 'cat-like' in her sleeping habits, as she can sleep just about anywhere so long as she's in a comfortable enough position, sleep for long hours at a time, and be able to wake up and be alert just like that. Though as much as she loves taking the rare yet occasional nap, it never interferes with her job or personal hobbies, as she is pretty good at managing and maintaining good sleeping habits.Marian is a type of dark mage that specializes in creating all sorts of illusions, which comes in pretty handy for her to blend in and go undercover at high-class parties. At these said parties she doesn't go to them just to 'party' like everyone else there, but rather to collect information on the higher-ups there, and try to figure out their wicked plans. That's also why she applied for a maid position for many of them, so she could have easier access to get to know them and their intentions better. What she is trying to do with all that information, or even what she is doing for that matter, is unknown to everyone but herself.On that note, she didn't always have the own 'plan' and goals in her life that she has currently, as her feelings festered for many years before she decided to act on them. After she learned of her adoptive mother's family's fate, and what she figured most likely also happened to her biological family as well, it made Marian grew secretly bitter and furious, fixed on finding who and why they did what they did to her family. From what little information she could gather from her mother she figured it out to be someone from a higher position, and as such once she was old enough she applied to work for many of them. She's not exactly sure what she'll do once she gets the answers she wants, and though she's not the type to want to get her hands dirty by hurting or killing people, she does want to make whoever made both her biological and adoptive families suffer 'pay'.Though she puts on a poised and collected front, despite the anger she feels deep inside, all Marian really wants to feel in life is content, and happy for once. She wishes for happiness not just for herself, but also for her mother, as she has suffered so much in her life and all Marian is doing is to not only get a sense of fulfillment for herself, but also to bring some sense of 'peace' into her mother's life, even if things can never go back to the way they were before for her. Marian doesn't know what she'll do for herself when this happens, besides continue to care for and stay by her mother's side, but she kind of likes the idea of settling down and just taking it easy for once in her life, free from her past burdens and feelings that ate her up inside so much.. In time he learned to suppress the emotions and bad memories associated with her, and when the topic of her gets brought up nowadays he still can't find it in himself to talk about her much, both out of fear of those memories popping up and him having a potential breakdown he'd prefer others never get to see.Two of his biggest fears in life, that he would never admit to having, is loneliness and losing anyone else who he is close to. Both these fears started in his childhood after what happened to his mother, and even if he is genuinely doing a lot better nowadays, he still hates the idea of either of these happening to him again. The latter one especially being prevalent when his family first moved, as for their first couple years at St. Ravilda's he was quite protective of his sister Winnie, using the aggression he had at the time to defend both her and himself from potential bullies. He's eased up on the protective act as they got older, and their bond grew a little more strained, but there are still moments where he can't help it, even when his sister tells him she's capable of handling herself.Unlike his sister a bit he genuinely did not know what he wanted to do after he graduated, since nothing ever appealed to him much and he wasn't really fond of the idea of college, since he never liked school much so the idea of more school did not appeal to him at all. He stayed at home for a couple years and just worked at his father's shop, though due to his slacker tendencies he often skipped work or only did when he had nothing better he wanted to do instead. His father especially got on his case a lot for that, which partially is what also caused their bond to become more strained. Though lately things seemed to have looked up better for Colden, as now he's become a traveling mage after a certain bubbly wind mage offered him a spot in her group, and after spending a few months traveling with them he never realized how much he would like it and honestly kind of wishes he started traveling earlier.His ice magic comes from his mother's side of the family, who commonly produced mages with elemental-type magic abilities, compared to his father's side who produced a variety of magic types though none that were like the classic elements. He's not quite sure who he inherited his magic from, since he never got the chance to ask his mom about it much, but from he could gather it was either one of his maternal great-grandparents.In terms of friends, he never really had much growing up. There were a couple other fellow rebels in school that he befriended briefly here and there, like Prince Kain at one point, but he never could stick with them much and eventually had a falling out with all of them. The same could be said for him nowadays, but he does consider his fellow group members to be like his friends in a way, and he's recently made a new friend in the form of another ice mage, Lyra Montgomery(The-Moon-Witch's character), who was introduced to him by his sister Winnie since Lyra's one of her friends and she figured her brother could not just use more friends but also more friends he can relate to. Those two don't hang out as much due to both their very different and busy schedules, but whenever they do they like to do simple things like hangout at cafes and just complain about others or get any current frustrations they have off their chests to someone being a good pair of snarky friends.Nobody knows about this, but Colden secretly has a tattoo of his own. He got it done sometime after graduation in a rebellious act after storming out of the house due to a bad fight he had with his dad, and when he saw a parlor allowing walk-ins when he was walking aimlessly downtown he thought "why not?" and walked inside to see about getting one. He didn't have a huge want for one before, but thought it would be a good opportunity to get one done easily and kill some time before he would eventually have to go home again. He actually did not have a solid idea of what he wanted but when he was talking with the artist who would be doing it and discussing ideas with her, he eventually settled on getting two little snowflake designs on his lower-back near his side. The design being a simple one he thought wouldn't be too much for a first tattoo, and the location was more of an after-thought but he also kind of digs it with it not being a 'conventional' place for most tattoos on males you might typically see.Even if they don't always get along nowadays, Colden still appreciates his sister a lot for still standing by him in life, even with all his troubles. He considers her to be like the 'rock' during the hard times in his life, and even if he doesn't admit it much he cares about if she feels secure and happy with herself and in her life. Knowing that she is not a traveling mage herself and does not get out much in general, he likes to pick out little trinkets and other treats from his travels to bring back home as gifts for her.Similar to his sister he is very demi, and never really had many people crushing on him to his knowledge nor did he have many crushes or attractions to others himself either, being the type that wasn't very focused on romance for himself. He did have a girlfriend for a few months during his middle-late years at Ravilda's, but it did not go anywhere too serious between them and they eventually broke things off with each other after a while. It wasn't a bad relationship or breakup per say, but he has not pursued or been with any girl since then. Though things might be looking up for him more in that department in recent times, as there is a girl he's currently traveling with that has managed to capture and melt his icy heart a bit in her own unique way~- Marian BlakeleyNever knew her birth parents, haven been orphaned at a young age. She, nor anyone who worked at the St. Aurelia temple knew of what happened to them or how exactly she came into their care, as for all they knew she just showed up at their doorsteps one day as a young toddler. She remained at the temple for a few more years before finally a lonely woman, who had lost all her other family, came by looking for a child to adopt to fill the empty void in her heart and to have find some sort of companionship, having little friends herself. All the children there seemed like probable little ones for her to welcome into her life, but when she saw Marian she felt for the poor girl as it seemed like other hopeful parents who came by just brushed her off, all because she was a bit more 'trouble' than they were willing to deal with. So, she took it upon herself to adopt the young girl and even if they did have some problems with adjusting to each other at first, they quickly came to love each other as family.When Marian first arrived to the temple there was not any sort of records or identification on her, so for the longest time before she officially got adopted she had no official name. The workers and other children there called her some nicknames here and there, but nothing really 'stuck' for her to want to keep it as her name. That is, when she finally got adopted did she gain the name 'Marian', as it was the name from an old legend her adoptive mother always liked, and she herself liked it so that's what she went with~Marian was, what you could say, a 'problem child' growing up. Was always too curious about her magic and the world around her, which got her in trouble sometimes more often than she'd admit. Not that she purposely caused trouble, but still. It did always seem to follow her and her family in some way or another.Never went to an actual school growing up, as her mother homeschooled her instead as she did not want to risk anything bad potentially happening to her at one. As such, she doesn't have much experience with people her age, aside from the occasional visits into town, the other young maids/servants she works with, and the young nobles she sometimes works for as well. Though those interactions give her a very limited view of how her age group acts, as they aren't what could be considered 'normal people leading normal lives'.She absolutely loves taking a good sleep after long and tiring shifts, and as such one of the places she commonly spends her free-time in is her bedroom. Very 'cat-like' in her sleeping habits, as she can sleep just about anywhere so long as she's in a comfortable enough position, sleep for long hours at a time, and be able to wake up and be alert just like that. Though as much as she loves taking the rare yet occasional nap, it never interferes with her job or personal hobbies, as she is pretty good at managing and maintaining good sleeping habits.Marian is a type of dark mage that specializes in creating all sorts of illusions, which comes in pretty handy for her to blend in and go undercover at high-class parties. At these said parties she doesn't go to them just to 'party' like everyone else there, but rather to collect information on the higher-ups there, and try to figure out their wicked plans. That's also why she applied for a maid position for many of them, so she could have easier access to get to know them and their intentions better. What she is trying to do with all that information, or even what she is doing for that matter, is unknown to everyone but herself.On that note, she didn't always have the own 'plan' and goals in her life that she has currently, as her feelings festered for many years before she decided to act on them. After she learned of her adoptive mother's family's fate, and what she figured most likely also happened to her biological family as well, it made Marian grew secretly bitter and furious, fixed on finding who and why they did what they did to her family. From what little information she could gather from her mother she figured it out to be someone from a higher position, and as such once she was old enough she applied to work for many of them. She's not exactly sure what she'll do once she gets the answers she wants, and though she's not the type to want to get her hands dirty by hurting or killing people, she does want to make whoever made both her biological and adoptive families suffer 'pay'.Though she puts on a poised and collected front, despite the anger she feels deep inside, all Marian really wants to feel in life is content, and happy for once. She wishes for happiness not just for herself, but also for her mother, as she has suffered so much in her life and all Marian is doing is to not only get a sense of fulfillment for herself, but also to bring some sense of 'peace' into her mother's life, even if things can never go back to the way they were before for her. Marian doesn't know what she'll do for herself when this happens, besides continue to care for and stay by her mother's side, but she kind of likes the idea of settling down and just taking it easy for once in her life, free from her past burdens and feelings that ate her up inside so much..
