Tigers are such beautiful and powerful animals, and I have been obsessed with drawing smoke lately- so yeah, this is the result.

is this solely using colored pencils, or is there watercolored (or something else) used also?

It is almost exclusively colored pencil. There is a little watercolor underneath on the tiger's face and neck.

hey that reminds me of a folktale! Basically a tiger, who was the king of the forest, came across a mother and her baby and the baby was scared of the tiger and started crying so the tiger thought he wasn't afraid so the mother gave the baby a dried fruit to calm the baby down and it worked so the tiger thought the baby was more afraid of the fruit than the tiger but he didn't see the fruit so he didn't know what it was so he got incredibly scared not knowing what fearsome beast could be the Dried Fruit
