Long-time watchers may remember the engine I posted a few years ago; the original intention was to build a 1910s-style tank around it so that I could remove various panels and show the interior working of the tank. As it turns out that engine I built just didn't work; it was too long and the shape was awkward to fit inside a confined space like a tank hull. As a result, I ended up building a new one that was a shorter and more regular shape, and the result of the project is the S12. I have a number of other ideas for cutaway models, but after seeing how long it took me to make this one work, we'll see when they actually get built.
