Description
Trees are hard to build in Lego. It doesn't help that I generally build in the mindset of straight lines and machine parts, not the irregularities and imperfections of nature. This seems like it came out rather well, though. This actually started out as a bit of brainstorming for a forest scene I may build later, if I can find enough brown parts to make more than one tree. Of course, this used up all of the leafy branch parts I have in medium green anyway, so probably not. I've been sick with nasty colds (or maybe flu) twice in the span of a month, and this second one is being a darn tenacious bugger. I've been watching LOTR, the Hobbit, and Brave to pass the time, as well as playing a bit of Civilization 5 again since a friend of mine all of the expansions for Christmas. Playing as the Celts from the Gods and Kings expansion get me in a mood for castles, forests, and circles of standing stones, and before I knew it I was trying to plan out a forest scene with a stone circle in the center, maybe a dryad hiding amongst the trees- but alas, my lack of brown parts leaves me mostly treeless. And I still can't breathe through my nose. Bugger off, you darn diseases.

pretty awesome dude, looks great. can see how coming up with a natural design might be tricky.
