Description
A fluffy little long-tailed tit in Berlin's Tiergarten. I had never seen one before and was totally endeared by how cute they are.Redone, as I wanted the bird bigger on the picture.

That's what I thought! Unfortunately, I haven't been able yet to detect others of its species over here. They seem to be very rare.

Birds are becoming rare everywhere these days

Well, can't say it's the same over here, but this was in fact the only time in my life I've ever seen this kind of bird (and I do pay notice what wildlife I see when I'm outside) .

We have them in the UK - but never seen one in Spain - European birds are so much harder to photograph as they are much more timid

Hah - just two days ago I finally saw a swarm of them next to where I live (felt ridiculously happy about it, too)! I guess I will keep my eyes even more open now. I heard that in the UK, it is kind of a national sport to feed the birds, is it not? We do that over here, as well, but only in the winter.

Oh yes - we put seed out for them so that they don't go hungry I tried to do the same when I moved to Spain but it seems Spanish birds don't know what a bird feeder is

Isn't it? Too bad they're so rare around here (or very secretive).

Ha ha, I agree. I hope that, once I finally got my new lens, I'll find them again this winter and maybe get some more shots. They are way too adorable!

Thank you very much. I hope I'll see some of these birds again this year when I have my new zoom. They seem to be very rare here, though.

Niedliche Schwanzmeise!
