Description
Man created machine, and he saw it was good.Man is still the flawed creation.
This is a take on one of the panels that can be found in the Sistine Chapel Ceiling, The Creation of Adam. I have had this idea floating around in my head for quite some time now, but i finally got to put it into an image
With all the intensity on religion in these past weeks i thought that this might have a place. I had this vice clamp thingy lying around my house and thought it would make a cool "hand" ENJOY!

If you ever get a chance read Voltaire's "Candide." Its a brilliant piece of work that deals with religion and belief systems.

I recall studying Candide in French back in high school, but that was long ago enough for me to only remember how Cunegunde (sp?) ended up (no pun intended) with one buttock.

....though, as an afterthought, the hand and the clamp would have to be reversed to correctly mimick the "Creation of Adam" and the positions of God and Adam.

yeah i totally was thinking about that too! i was gonna switch the two positions but i decided to leave it, seeing has how God was the perfect one and Adam fell from grace, although we created machine we are still the imperfect ones!

i'm not sure i want to know why you have a clamp like that just lying around your house. i mean, i have shit like old time magazines just lying around. you should like put that in a safe place or something...
anyway, the concept is cool and the photography is AWESOME. Did you airbrush it? It looks almost surreal.

no i didn't airbush anything but i did load a Provia curve into the camera i was using, its really great stuff!
