Description
The Rebellion was desperate for a hovertank capable of taking on the Empires hover tanks... and so, using speeder tech, Heavy blaster cannons, and a truly maniacal Astromech known as Mechanicor, Astromech of Doom... they came up with this beast... leading to the defeat of the Empire at the battle of Ten Hills.Related content

where did you get the name "mechanicor astromech of doom" cuz it sounds like a name from the really old game tiny tank where he says "can i change my name?" "to what?" "mechanicor tank of doom?"

Right in one! I always imagined a little astromech getting that attitude one day.... and it seemed to fit perfectly!

i actually still have tiny tank and i still love his lines " a cute killing machine! thats the dumbest bullshit thing ive ever heard! i got an 80mm cannon for a nose!" oh and i still remember " tiny's not here.. i am.. mechanicor! *bullhorn voice* TANK OF DOOM!!!!"
man i think he's awesome still and now theres an astromech just as violent and messed up as he is, piloting a tank no less.

Cause it's overkill? Though it is a pretty nice use of the Lascannon.

I have a comment about the very large laser cannons, did you by chance get the idea for those from the Imperial Guard from Warhammer 40K?

That I did.... the imperial guard have the most nasty weapons.. so why not give them to an equally nasty Blastromech?

Actually, Mechanicor's history is rather colored. Originally a typical Astromech unit known as R2-L2, and paired up with Jedi Master Thade during the Clone Wars. During one of the battles with the Malevolence, R2-L2 was severely damaged, and Master Thade was forced to use droid parts from a destroyed Droideka to repair him.... leading to the new personality. Still loyal, and friendly to those he knew in the past, but now with a mean streak aimed at anyone who threatened his friends. Incorporating inbuilt Verpine Shatterguns, and renaming himself Mechanicor, he became... as many rebels called him.. "Death on Three Legs, The Trooperbuster, and Astromech of Doom." And then the rebellion decided to give him a tank....
The Empire never knew what hit them.

oh sure, give the homicidal robot a tank, there's no way that'll come back and bight us in the ass. While your at it, why not give HK-47 command of a star destroyer. lol
