Description Mass Aerialbot upload WOOOO! !

Ahem. I mean sorry, not sorry. Although I do apologise that it's another art dump. I'll be returning to regular uploads now with more characters I've never drawn before. Just ah...time is an issue again.

Now I DID have another Silverbolt and Fireflight BUT they turned out even worse than these ones so they don't get included. There's another Skydive but it's not worth posting on it's own either.

That is all. -Vanishes-

I do understand what you mean about the phone thing. When I read I just scroll one tiny paragraph at a time so there are no spoilers while I’m reading. LOL! XD

It is weird that most Aerialbots fics (that aren’t comedy) are about them dying. There has to be more interesting topics than their deaths. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good tragedy fic every now and then, but there has to be more. Fortunately, you’re idea isn’t original

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-08 02:27:32 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah there's that too! Sometimes I'd accidentally look down and spoil something so yeah best way is to go slowly.

Oh! Did you mean my idea wasn't original or was that a typo? XDDD You would be right even if it wasn't because cough, nudge nudge, now I'm starting to rethink my ending even though I have something else after that should make up for it. Do you catch me?

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-08 03:08:03 +0000 UTC]

No, I meant your idea was original because it’s an Aerialbot origin story. I don’t think I’ve seen that yet. Just fics where they get injured or killed. Even if yours ends with them in stasis or something it makes sense because canonically that’s what happened.

Whew! I have your approval then. I'm really quite relieved to hear that.

Aww, you know it! I like seeing people look at Transformers and ask “What if?”. Let me know when your story goes up

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-08 04:31:12 +0000 UTC]

I will! Hopefully it won't take too much longer for the first chapter at least. I'm quite slow at getting ideas down the way I want it to.

I understand. I used to be so much faster at writing than I am now. Now it feels like it takes forever to get anything done. It’s good to take your time though, because it means once your idea is down it’ll be the way you want it

I can be a bit of a perfectionist at times so that doesn't help any haha. Sometimes I question if I'm taking it in the right direction though. Let it be said I have zero confidence in anything I do. But that doesn't stop me from having fun because I really do enjoy doing creative stuff.

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-08 05:15:28 +0000 UTC]

Eh, don’t worry so much about the tone of where you’re taking the fic. The important questions is: Does it make logical sense? A lot will be overlooked if Point A and Point B connect well. Besides, I think it’s normal for artists to not be confident in their work. We always judge ourselves more harshly than our peers do...most of the time

You're absolutely right. I just can't help but doubt myself I guess. I don't think I'll feel so bad now though haha. I'll make do with what I got and just be darn happy that I'm actually creating my own fic. Your encouragement means a lot so I thank you. ^^

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-08 06:12:48 +0000 UTC]

Aww, thanks! It means a lot that you say that

Yesterday I worked a little bit on “My Spark Still Shines”. That fic is my longest and most popular to date, and I feel bad for letting it sit for so long

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-08 06:53:04 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad it does haha.

Gasp. If I'm honest, that fic has to be among my most favourite of yours. I just loved the whole concept of it and adding Bluestreak as the main character is a plus! He's one of my favourite characters and you made him adorable as he ought to be. I'm glad he got his memory back, now I'm hoping that he gets his body back too. I also want to mention that the scene where Frenzy and Eject were victim to that horrible machine was really sad and the panic in the moment was well written. Correct me if I'm wrong but were you inspired by "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas"? It's what I immediately thought of while reading it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-08 07:03:17 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I admit it. That scene was an homage to “The Boy In The Striped Pajamas”. That movie was just so sad, and the tone of the ending seemed to fit with the fic thus far. I’ve been meaning to read the book. I hear it’s very similar to the movie.

“My Spark Still Shines” will probably end up being my fanfic magnum opus, and frankly it’s nowhere near done. What’s held it up for so long is that I’m getting into some relic hunting segments, and now that there are so many Autobot/Vehicons in play it’s hard to calculate how they’ll effect the plot. I figured it out for this next chapter though, so I started writing again. Hopefully I haven’t gotten too rusty. I’ve known for a long time how I want this fic to end. I just have to get it there

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-08 07:46:58 +0000 UTC]

It's an interesting comparison and I agree, it does fit. I have seen the movie but haven't read the book either. Instead I've read another one called "Night" by Elie Wiesel who was a survivor. It basically recounts everything he witnessed and experienced down to the raw details. It's incredibly confronting but a story that had to be shared to understand. From what I remember the ending line had a lot of impact too.

I can totally see where you're coming from and I'm glad you've found a way to make it all work. You are working with a lot of characters so I'm amazed how you're able to keep track of everyone. I won't pry any more haha, but I'm super curious to see what you have in store for us readers!

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-08 09:09:16 +0000 UTC]

The Holocaust is something I've been interested in since I was a kid. To be fair, my religious group was one of the ones Hitler targeted (not Jewish), so it feels like a more personal history. My mom once worked in a restaurant with a woman who was a teenager in Germany during WWII. That woman was a sweet person, but she denied The Holocaust even happened despite the obvious proof and personal accounts of survivors. She always believed it was political propaganda from the USA and allied forces. It's interesting how each side views the world.

On on a less heavy subject, I've figured out where each Vehicon is going to be for the chapter. Admittedly the chapter went through some concept rewrites before I started writing properly. It's tough to balance drama and humor, especially with Skywarp being one of the characters. LOL! XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-08 09:42:37 +0000 UTC]

Goodness... It's a little surprising to hear there are some who actually don't believe it happened. There's quite a lot of evidence there to suggest otherwise. But to each their own I suppose.

The dreaded rewrites! They really use up your time huh? Skywarp is being an unintentional (in this case) nuisance wherever he goes ahaha. You need some comic relief in there somewhere and who better than Skywarp himself. Speaking of him, I hope he reunites with his trine at the very least. Now I wonder what the fate of those three even is. Going back to the Decepticons just seems unlikely. Oh! And what of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker? It's been a while since I read the story but these questions are still going strong!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-08 09:51:14 +0000 UTC]

Well, to be fair this woman has been dead for years. I guess it's kind of like the people nowadays that have conspiracy theories about 911 here in America. What happened was pretty straightforward, but some people just can't accept that. It means bad things can happen in your country that are against everything you believe in. That's probably how it felt to some Germans, especially those that were out of the country at the time.

I'm glad you're still invested in this story's various plot elements. Don't worry. They will all be answered in good time

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-08 10:49:51 +0000 UTC]

That's true. Maybe she didn't want to believe that some people of her country would take an action such as that. I can understand why she would think that way then. Still though, we can't stay ignorant of the past.

Oh the conspiracy theories. I always find those interesting. There's actually one going around now about the Australian fires. I heard that the government was sending out drones to shoot at the ground to start fires, all to cut down population size. And there's the odd coincidence that multiple fires have merged into one big one. I know it's a wild accusation but, well you never know. Time is a social construct and all that jazz. Authorities do rule our lives. It's fun to talk about but you just really don't know whether to believe it or not.

Oh yes, believe me, I'm so ready. I look forward to it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-08 17:56:46 +0000 UTC]

Exactly. Holocaust deniers probably just couldn't wrap their heads around how awful those atrocities were. As for government conspiracies, those usually stem from the idea that people like to believe there is control in the world, even if it's evil. It's easier to say the wild fires are a population control device than to say the environment has gone to pot because human governments around the world are too selfish and incompetent to do something about it. Either way it's a worrying development, and I hope you're nowhere near those wild fires.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-09 00:27:46 +0000 UTC]

You make a valid point about government being incompetent because that's pretty much what has happened. They didn't backburn in preparation for what would be a one of our hottest summers and they sent the water bombers in too late. It's really a money thing isn't it? Some say climate change is part of it too. I don't know, too many factors all bunched up into one. Hard to tell if one thing was the cause, or all of it.

Fortunately I don't live in the bush areas where the worst of it is but there was one close fire which I believe has long since been put out. The wind does blow the smoke our way so I do still smell it sometimes and I do see the occasional helicopter circling around but nothing too bad where I am for the moment.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-09 01:04:24 +0000 UTC]

Goodness! I hope the fire stays away from your area. I’m sorry your neighbors are going through that. Hopefully things will be straightened out soon. I must admit though, it’s weird hearing that it’s hot somewhere. It’s been really cold where I live, as is common for this time of year. I suppose if you’re tired of the heat the USA is an option, though I would suggest Canada as they are friendlier. LOL! XD

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-09 01:28:23 +0000 UTC]

I hope so too. We've been lucky to get some cool changes lately. I suppose it is weird the way seasons work in other countries. I would LOVE to go to either USA or Canada, maybe both? My dad used to live in Canada but moved to Australia because the snow was too much work, haha! But my sister did go to both Canada and USA somewhat recently for two weeks to visit family. She bought back lollies, candles, a hockey stick, maple syrup in a glass shaped as the leaf and a few other bits and bobs. I just love how different it is over there compared to here. I'll have go myself one day.

That's so cool! I'm from Victoria. Nothing special here or about us really haha. Do you think our accent is weird? I always get curious about these things haha.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-09 02:39:09 +0000 UTC]

Australian in general or Victorian specifically. Americans are notoriously bad about picking up on regional accents. As for the Australian accent in general, I think it sounds like a more energetic version of British. Punchier than the Brits, but less stiff than American.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-09 03:09:26 +0000 UTC]

Mostly Australian in general. If I'm honest I can't tell the difference between states. Maybe that's just me or I haven't heard it often enough to notice. That's a cool description though! I always liked British accents, they're sweet and polite sounding. And then Aussies are the rambunctious ones haha. What's strange to me is when I watch American TV shows, the accent doesn't stick out as much, but when I'm say, actually talking to an American or hear the accent when I'm out and about, it just instantly clicks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-09 03:15:04 +0000 UTC]

It’s probably because TV American English is the most standard English you can find in our country. It’s “proper” English. Real Americans sound less like the newscasters and actors and more like...well, Jeff Foxworthy frankly, at least in my area

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-09 03:38:46 +0000 UTC]

Haha! Yep, that's probably it. Not sure why I didn't even think of that. I had to look up this guy, he's pretty funny. I think I get where you're coming from though. But I like that accent, I think it's cool!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-09 03:57:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that accent is especially prevalent among older people in the Southeast of the country. We just call it the South, but it's really Southeast. Younger don't seem to talk like that as much, at least I don't. Not sure why.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-09 04:25:52 +0000 UTC]

Maybe it's just how often you're exposed to it. Although if you hear it every day then yeah that's a true mystery haha.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-09 04:27:32 +0000 UTC]

My personal theory is that TV and the internet have influenced how younger people talk. Either way that thick Southern drawl is now mostly common among older people, people with little access to technology, and for some reason country music singers. LOL! XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-09 05:11:31 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah 100%. And also Ironhide! I think Wildrider had one as well. The accent is perfect for singing, it puts a smile on my face and you kinda have to join in. It's great!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-09 05:54:17 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Ironhide, Wildrider, and Vortex all have what is known as the Texas accent, which is slightly different from the accent you’ll find in the Appalachian area where Kentucky is located. For one thing in Texas it seems like they don’t know how to pronounce the letter “I”. It always comes out sounding like an “A”, which makes the word “ice” just sound awkward. LOL! Motormaster’s is a little closer to the Appalachian accent, and being loud certainly helps

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-09 06:39:26 +0000 UTC]

Aw see, I knew I'd get them mixed up. I guess I'm not so good with detecting accents haha. I could of sworn someone described Ironhide as having a Southern drawl though. I find the mispronunciation amusing and fun. I was about to say Texan twang but I just learned that it's not the same thing as drawl, the more you know. Now I want to rewatch some episodes just to hear it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-09 08:21:57 +0000 UTC]

The thing is, to people in the North and West of America Texan and Southern are the same thing, because Texas is south. There are differences though between South Central and South East. I guess TFP Cliffjumper also kinda sounds Southern, but in a more modern way

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-09 09:36:38 +0000 UTC]

I see. That’s a whole lot of confusion right there. I feel enlightened though haha. Wait you mean The Rock has a southern accent? Because it’s been a hot second since I’ve watched TF Prime and I thought he was just using his normal voice. I’m probably wrong though if you mentioned it haha. I suck.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-09 19:38:16 +0000 UTC]

I'd never thought about it, but I'm pretty sure The Rock used a slight Southern inflection when playing Cliffjumper. I guess some would call it the tough guy voice, but it was a Southern tough guy voice. Makes sense. Southern tough guys were more popular in the early 2010s. In the 1980s when the original G1 cartoon came out New York tough guys were more popular with the kids. That's how you ended up with characters like Rumble and Thundercracker who had these Brooklyn accents. Yeah, America has a lot of accents

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-10 00:59:16 +0000 UTC]

Wheeljack had a New Yorker accent too right? And that makes sense. Cliffjumper was depicted as the tough guy so a voice like that would definitely fit the bill. It's a shame he had to be killed off so quickly or you know, at all. I didn't like what they did with him in the Bumblebee movie. I would have loved to see him escape for Earth with the others.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-10 01:20:59 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Wheeljack had a Brooklyn accent. I think he sounded like Bugs Bunny. LOL! Also, yeah, I agree that it felt like they wasted Cliffjumper in the Bumblebee movie. I’m glad they at least made him brave, but it just felt like such a cheap death. If a movie goer wasn’t already familiar with Cliffjumper, then they wouldn’t know why we should care that he died. They should’ve given him a couple more scenes so the death meant something.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-10 03:09:28 +0000 UTC]

Oh no! I can't unhear it! Ehh what's up doc'?

Another thing that bothered me about his death was that it was done by the hands of completely new Decepticons and I don't think they deserved it. Like don't get me wrong, the creators did a good job making them cool and all and I guess they had to make these new characters look like a threat some way or another but they just had no right. At least use Decepticons we know. Not to mention the alt modes used in the movie, the Harrier Jump Jet and Phantom II in particular, should have gone to the Autobots that actually have it. But they couldn't have squeezed in so many characters in one movie so I understand. I hope they use combiners for the next one!

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-10 04:12:22 +0000 UTC]

LOL! That wascally Wheeljack

Yeah, one thing I’ve figured out is the secret to effectively introducing Transformers, and even the first Bay movie got this right, is that the Transformers have to look impressive. That’s probably why they made the villains the way they did. My issue is lack of character development for Cliffjumper. Also, the female Decepticon’s name isn’t mention ONCE in the movie. I had to look it up, and I already forgot

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-10 05:18:33 +0000 UTC]

Hehe. That reminds me of this drawing I wanted to paint of Bluestreak and Scooby Doo. You know, since the voice actor of Blue had also voiced Shaggy. I thought it would be a cute duo picture.

True true, I mean they are imposing alone but a little extra cinematic touch doesn’t hurt. I actually quite enjoyed the first movie’s introduction. Except for what they had Jazz say haha. I mean it did kind of make me laugh. But now that I think about it, it’s so not what Jazz would say. I see him as being more polite than that. He, Sideswipe and Jolt were my favourite from the movies though. With Shatter, I actually knew of her name before the movie was released and so I didn’t even realise it was never mentioned.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-10 05:38:21 +0000 UTC]

I didn’t know that. To be fair I don’t remember who voiced Bluestreak, but hey, more Bluestreak drawings in the world are a good thing, and Blue with Scooby just sound so wholesome

Shatter! That was her name! I knew it started with an S. My mind kept thinking Shimmer. LOL! I also agree that Jazz’s opening like was so dumb. I don’t blame the voice actor. He did a good job and had some nice energy, but that script just gave him nothing to work with. And then of course they kill him off! Why did they bring Megatron back from the dead but not Jazz? It could’ve been written in. One thing I will give credit to though is that with Jazz’s death it meant something to the audience. We knew who he was and he had time in the movie to shine. Cliffjumper? Not so much

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-10 08:28:56 +0000 UTC]

It was Casey Kasem. He voiced Cliffjumper too! Hahah I’m glad you think so. I’ve already got something in mind and I’m tossing up if I should use Cliffjumper as well. By the way, Huffer is finished and should be up tomorrow among other stuff, hopefully.

Haha! Decepticon Shimmer. That’s an interesting name. Oh yeah you can always tell when a voice actor is having fun. I would want to give it a try even though I have no vocal range whatsoever. But anyway, yeah, I find it odd that they couldn’t even bring Jazz back when it was perfectly possible. The way I see it, they could of had his body touch the Allspark and he’d be alive again. Simple as that. I guess they wanted room to shove new characters in for the next movie. Look what they did to Jolt though! He got one mention and was in two scenes I think. The fics actually made me like him more because it gave him the character that he lacked. And his powers are cool.

Yay! I look forward to seeing what you created

I can do impressions, though I was better at it when I was younger. I tried harder back then. Don't think I'd want to make a career out of it though. It's too much pressure. I don't know how professional voice actors do it.

I know now what you mean. Transformers is an interesting franchise because it feels like the fanfics and artwork is actually the best part. Characters can be expanded on and designs, while already good, can be improved. Even the concept of sparklings is mostly a fanmade concept, and I love it

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-11 03:10:59 +0000 UTC]

Just about to post now!

Yeah, I've heard stories from the voice actors of G1 Transformers and it sounded incredibly tough during the day. It might be a bit different now but just hearing what it was like, crazy. They definitely had their fun times though. You should check out the podcast "Talkin' Toons" if you ever have time. It's hosted by Rob Paulsen who voiced Air Raid and Slingshot and numerous other cartoon characters. He's an awesome guy and would have other voice actors come on the podcast and just talk. There's a Transformers special that you can find at the bottom of his own TFwiki page. It's awesome stuff to listen too!

There's so much to love about the franchise, it's just gold. The title of seekers was also fanmade but adopted into canon, how awesome is that! And also sparklings were actually mentioned by Megatron in the War for Cybertron game, which is also canon and the most fun game I've ever played. I still play it haha.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2020-01-11 03:19:40 +0000 UTC]

Yay!

Rob Paulsen did a lot of different voices, yet the one I’ll always think of first is Yakko Warner from Animaniacs. He just owned that Bugs Bunny meets Groucho Marx voice

Funny enough, it wasn’t the fans that made up the word “seekers”. It was a JC Penny gift catalogue. Weird that everybody ran with it. LOL! I’ve never played War For Cybertron. If I start a new game I get hooked quite easily, and by adding Transformers, well...I have to be careful

I got the opportunity to work some more on the new chapter of “My Spark Still Shines” tonight. It’s a long chapter though, so it might take a while. I’m starting to get a feel for which characters to focus on though...focus being a loose term here. LOL! XD

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-11 03:48:47 +0000 UTC]

I think that might be his favourite voice! I hear him do it a lot. There's so much enthusiasm within this man and it makes me smile haha.

Oh really? I never knew. I always thought it was the fans who coined the term. Isn't that the catalogue that called Slag a dog? Or am I getting confused? WFC Is absolutely amazing and yes it's addicting. Everything about it is A. I love the designs in it especially!

Yay! I'm glad it's all going smoothly now. I'm excited for this update.

Yeah, I’m excited for it too. I just hope “My Spark Still Shines” isn’t so all over the place that it becomes hard to follow

I have the picture on Pinterest somewhere, it had the others too but I don't remember what they were. Oh yeah I remember that. They changed it because they thought Slag was offensive haha.

No way, I found everything to be clear so far! I feel like there are a lot of directions you could take with it and I doubt readers would feel lost. I'm positive it will turn out great. Sometimes a little complexity to a story isn't a bad thing. I always wonder how people write it and I wish I was that good haha.
