Description Mass Aerialbot upload WOOOO! !

Ahem. I mean sorry, not sorry. Although I do apologise that it's another art dump. I'll be returning to regular uploads now with more characters I've never drawn before. Just ah...time is an issue again.

Now I DID have another Silverbolt and Fireflight BUT they turned out even worse than these ones so they don't get included. There's another Skydive but it's not worth posting on it's own either.

That is all. -Vanishes-

Thanks so much! I could do for a part 3, hehe.

You're welcome.   That would be cool.

These are some lovely portraits of the Aerialbots. I'm especially glad you made this one because of the picture of Skydive with his books. For some reason I always mix up which Aerialbot is Skydive and which one is Aid Raid. Don't know why I have such trouble with that. When I see the books however, I know it's Skydive, so this picture really helped me

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-25 00:45:00 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! Although they are due for a redraw I think. I've sketched them so many times since this upload that they've changed a bit haha. Oh! I'm glad this helped you in some way. Yeah Skydive is the one with his nose stuck in a book and I think that's precious. That makes Air Raid the happy, reckless one! I'm actually surprised you mixed up Skydive with Air Raid since the most common confusion I've seen is between Air Raid and Fireflight, seeing as they have similar head designs and whatnot. Safe to say I don't have this problem haha.

Their personalities I know, but I always forget which one is the white and red jet and which one is the black and orange jet. It’s weird since I can remember most TFs. Well, to be fair sometimes I forget all the names of the Protectobots, but I’ve gotten better about that

Ooh, you’re planning new Aerialbots sketches? Fun! Oddly enough the first TF head I ever pencil sketched correctly was Silverbolt. He looked like a Roman statue as opposed to a living mech, but at least it was the first one I didn’t screw up. The first full body was Wheeljack, and the first complete digital painting was Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. That last one is actually in my gallery. It looks weird, but it took forever to draw so I’m displaying the thing, darn it!

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-25 06:24:24 +0000 UTC]

Ah yes, that's fair enough. The most trouble I've had with who is who is the Constructicons. But I think I've pretty much got it.

Of course! In fact I maybe have too many, so I try to mix my uploads with other 'Bots and 'Cons. For me, the most difficult head to draw out of the Aerialbots is probably Silverbolt, then Skydive and Air Raid. Fireflight and Slingshot are probably the easiest but I still occasionally find myself fixing it up. I think first full body I drew was either Ratchet or Rumble, I can't remember. For digital I also can't remember but I want to say it was also Sideswipe and Sunstreaker because I drew them a lot at the time. I saw your drawing! It is majorly cute. I read the fic associated with it too from a while ago. I won't lie, I felt really bad for Slingshot. It must have been rough getting turned down oof. I have a huge soft spot for him so I like seeing him a happy boi!

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-25 07:06:14 +0000 UTC]

I also have trouble with the Constructicons at times, but I think I’m getting better. I think the most nondescript one in the group is Bonecrusher, because he just looks like a random green mech. The others have alt modes that give off more detail than that, but not poor Bonecrusher

My second full body drawing was Frenzy/Rumble. I never colored it so I never decided on which one it was. Not that it matters since people can’t make up their minds on what color each one is. I go by the cartoon because that’s what I’m used to, but to each their own.

Yeah, I actually considered pairing off Slingshot and Q-Boom for real. They made great rivals and could’ve had a romantic comedy dynamic, but in the end I felt like they were too similar and competitive to really make for a healthy relationship. I went with Cosmos because it would make sense for a spark floating in space to hang out with a flying saucer. Oh, wait. Have you read “Custody Battle” yet? I hope I’m not giving away spoilers

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-25 07:46:24 +0000 UTC]

If I remember correctly, Bonecrusher has full green legs right? Well so does Long Haul but those two are easy to tell apart. Anyway, Bonecrusher's kind of look like treads which he does have for his alt mode. So that's kind of what helps me there.

I am also used to the cartoon as opposed to the toys so, RIBFIR ftw!

Comedy! Yes! Hahaha I respect your decision though because it makes way more sense. I have indeed read "Custody Battle" so you need not worry. ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-25 08:24:21 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I always kinda thought with the treads that it looked like Bonecrusher was made out of green legos. LOL! Now that I think about it, I have never made a fanfic starring Bonecrusher. Actually, I’ve only covered three Constructicons; Scavenger, Long Haul, and Hook. Mixmaster is full of personality, Scrapper is the leader, and Bonecrusher is...green. I should be able to work with that

Yay RIBFIR,

“Custody Battle” was actually a rather difficult one for me to work on because I had a writing partner. He was easy to work with, but I’m used to working by myself, so coordinating with another person was challenging. I’m grateful I did though, because it was the perfect sequel to “You Will Care For Me”. Right now I’m working on a Toontown fic with a coauthor, and while he’s a nice and patient person it can still be difficult trying to make two ideas for a story mesh together into something coherent. I don’t know how movie writers do it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-25 09:30:54 +0000 UTC]

I always thought of Bonecrusher as the aggressive, battle-loving mech. But apart from that, nothing else. I always check their Tfwiki pages for anything more to their character. If you ever come up with something for him, I’d be happy to read it!

Oh I never knew. That sounds kind of cool. I can see why it might be difficult to work with someone else but I think it paid off! It’s a good idea to have others there to suggest things to make the story better. Right now with my fic, I keep adding new chapters in front of old ones to beef out the story and avoid quick pacing. For some reason I find the start to be the hardest to work out and I was sitting there trying to think of how to continue and really, I could have gone for a suggestion from someone other than me haha. I think I’ve got something to work with now though.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-25 10:00:43 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's pretty much all I know about Bonecrusher too, and frankly there are other mechs with that trait that work better for stories. Like Motormaster for example. He has the aggression but also the responsibility of leading a group of mental patients

Man, I understand. Fast pacing was the bane of my writing when I first started. Pacing is probably the most important yet most underrated part of telling a story. The actual length is almost irrelevant. It's all about whether it feels too long or too short, and that can be harder to judge. Also, yes, the beginning of a fic is the hardest part. Sometimes I can do it quickly, but other times I just sit there forcing myself to churn out any little sentence to make my story move. It's the brain equivalent to trying to get the last little bit of toothpaste out of the tube. LOL! XD

Also, the first chapter of "Fables of Cybertron" is now online. I loved turning the twins into Hansel and Gretel, or as they are called in the story, Handsome and Trouble XD

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-25 11:19:22 +0000 UTC]

That’s very true. Then I would probably just go for whoever I feel like writing. It’s the same when I have a quote to draw from for mini comics. I have to decide who it fits more.

Aaargh! Exactly, there’s just so much to consider when writing a story. It’s really deceiving as a reader because writing is easier said than done. I love learning about the process though. I’m glad to be doing it. You’ve pretty much described my struggles haha.

Great! Thanks for letting me know.

Speaking of best Transformers for story ideas, maybe you can help me with a casting decision. My next Cybertronian Fable will be a parody of "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" with Soundwave in the titular role. Which of these do you think would be better to play the mayor: Scrapper, Onslaught, or Motormaster?

It it kind of reminds me of a quote from an animator at Pixar. He said that the tiny details can be the most important to make the world feel alive, yet those are also the parts the audience will never notice. I'm paraphrasing, but it was something to that effect.

Oh wait, never mind. I've got it! The mayor should be Swindle. It would be so like him to cheat the piper. LOL! XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-26 00:29:13 +0000 UTC]

Ah, Swindle is absolutely perfect for the role, yes. Those other three might be decepticons but I can't see them being any more, well, deceiving than Swindle when it comes to money. I'm really interested to see your take on this story since the characters are so fitting haha.

Sounds about right to me. Funny how a quote that was in the context of animation can be applied to other creative areas as well. Looks as though they aren't so different from each other, and really they never were. It's so true though, what he said. I'll stress over a detail when I do something but when I see another person's art or writing, I'll completely overlook said details but only because it's been meshed so well. And then I sit and wonder how they did it. Mostly in writing, I get confused how others can paint a picture inside your head and then I can never do it myself. I suppose it's using the right words and actions, maybe even style, but it barely takes a second to read them and maybe that's how I miss it? I'm trying to get at something here that has been bugging me for a while but I'm not even sure I've said it right myself.

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-26 01:06:28 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. Hopefully the Pied Piper parody will turn out as good or better than Handsome and Trouble. The hard part of that story was coming with something besides a witch for Starscream to be since a witch doesn’t seem very fitting for characters that can already do thing like fly and shoot lasers out of their hands. LOL! XD

No, you said it well, and you’re right. When I look at other people’s art I don’t see their flaws like I do with my own. When you’re in charge of every detail then you see every mistake or imperfection. With writing it’s different though. I have worked several times as a beta reader and editor, so I can point out mistakes in writing I notice. It actually surprises me what readers won’t notice though. Like this one guy told me he didn’t even notice that I used italics. I use them all the time to emphasize dialogue or indicate someone is whispering or yelling, depending on context. Every little punctuation matters, yet most people don’t even see that

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-26 01:48:10 +0000 UTC]

Whatever you do, it will surely be great! ;D You chose well for Starscream and it made sense. Even a spark eater could be a potential idea but then again they only take sparks and leave the body so maybe not haha.

Now THAT is the bane of my existence, the whole seeing your own mistakes and feeling pretty crappy about it afterwards. Oh that's cool! I've always been curious how you even get ahold of a beta reader but I noticed there was something for that on Fanfiction. I hear that resizing and even changing the font can help you notice mistakes better so I might give that a try myself. That's so weird about the italics, I just naturally notice them, even the ones where they're in a sentence of italics. I find they're so important for emphasis so I can't imagine how you could miss it. I also have trouble knowing where to put dashes and how often to use them. I usually use commas instead but I'm unsure what the wiser choice is.

Oh, heads up, I tried to access the website from your status but it looks like the site is down at the moment. I'll keep checking back. Edit: Whoops, it's up now!

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-26 02:24:53 +0000 UTC]

I actually considered making him a spark eater, but I wanted something that ate frames so the oven cauldron thing would make sense. Scraplet-former isn’t something I’ve seen before, but it would make for a good Cybertronian fairy tale monster

I’ve never tried beta reading for fanfics before. I did it as a job for people who wrote manuscripts. Fanfic beta reading would probably be more fun, as beta reading for people who think their stuff is good enough to be a book, well...sometimes I would see real talent, but more often than not it was people with delusions of grandeur. My job of course was not to judge but to give feedback as to what worked and what didn’t for a novel, which meant I would have to ponder deeply over the technical aspects of a story even if I’d rather never think about it again.

Yeah, I have always loved italics. When I was 6 years old I would find italics in my book collection and highlight them, just because I thought the font was pretty. LOL! Also, yes, changing the font does help. That’s what makes editing on FF so easy for me. The font is automatically different than the standard font in Google Docs. I do miss a spelling mistake from time to time, but overall I try to keep things consistently decent.

FF worked fine for me earlier. Must’ve been a temporary glitch. My next chapter will be chapter 14 for my Invader Zim fic “Sweet Mother”. Only one more and then the story will be complete! Yay!

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-26 05:58:39 +0000 UTC]

It would haha. Makes for a good halloween fic too.

I see, that's still a pretty cool job. I'm not so good at critiquing myself so I prefer to give compliments on what was done well instead. But oh gosh, has anyone that had a terrible plot actually go on to publish their work? Did you ever see "Twilight" come across your desk?

Aww! That's adorable. I bet you are horrified with the notion of highlighting precious books now though, aren't you? XD Good to know that changing font is an effective method!

Oh I was talking about Smashworlds. But it's working now! I used to watch Invader Zim a lot when I was younger, it was one of my favourite shows but always on late at night haha. I should rewatch them and even the reboot thingy.

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-26 06:12:04 +0000 UTC]

No, “Twilight” was published before I started working in that field. For the record I don’t like it though. Too gimmicky. I did once beta read for a New York Times best seller. He paid more than my asking price and legitimately had a good story that was well written. For confidentiality’s sake I cannot say who it was, but the genre was thriller. Also, yes, compliments are a part of beta reading too. A person needs to know what they do correctly so they know what to keep.

Indeed. I don’t use highlighters anymore and even put heavy objects on my paperbacks when I’m done reading them so the covers don’t become permanent warped

Oh, I see. Oddly enough FF actually did develop a glitch about an hour after I said that. It’s better now though. My mom pointed out that due to the holidays nothing’s open so everybody is going to be online. I always forget about that stuff since I don’t celebrate anything. Make sense though that there would be a lot of internet traffic.

Oh you should definitely check out the new Invader Zim movie. If anything I think it’s better than the original, and the bar was already pretty high. I’d say the original series was edgier, but the movie has more heart while maintaining the same wackiness

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-26 07:59:06 +0000 UTC]

I figured as much haha, just joking around. I do feel bad though, people poke a lot of fun at "Twilight". I've never read it but I'm assuming it still at least had good elements to it. Wow! That sounds really cool! So you got like first look? Is that how it works? That's so exciting to me.

I've never thought about doing that before. It really does pay to take care of our books. ^^

What a coincidence haha. I can see how that might pose a problem. The internet is just my go to when I'm bored so I'm always here, clogging up your internet traffic.

I will! I hope it's on Netflix. I was just drawn to the absolute randomness of the show and of course Gir. I loved that cute dog costume haha.

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-26 08:53:09 +0000 UTC]

I was one several beta readers for the story. Most of the bigger authors have many beta readers so they can get a feel for all demographics. His assistant asked about things like my age, gender, and favorite book genres. I and the others in the group saw the book before it was published, so in that regard we did read it first. Most of my clients were a lot more ordinary than him though. For some reason I got a lot of clients from India. Probably because I work cheap. My longest term client was from Australia. I worked with him for over a year. Most of my clients didn’t come back though because most people don’t write more than one book every few years.

Yeah, I’m almost always online too. There’s more than just recreation. There’s book downloading, news, business, etc. The internet is a one-stop shop for those of us who don’t feel like going outside. LOL! XD

It is on Netflix. That’s where I watched it

Ah yeah, makes sense. That's pretty darn cool that you guys got first look at something that was going to be a hit. Kind of makes me want to go out and buy some random books that have interesting plots. My sister does that often but never finishes them, mainly because she gets too busy. I think I might be able to borrow some of them. The reoccurring genre is mystery and that's right up my alley. The only thing I've read lately is Fanfiction and Webtoons, and that just won't do. I think I also need to finish Harry Potter. Ahaha I know, I'm so very late the party.

It's holidays for me so I'm more frequent now! I'm still working but at least I have more time for my hobbies. Ha! Yes trusty internet.

Awesome! I'll go check it out.

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-27 03:27:18 +0000 UTC]

It's funny, but I'll have all these ideas for books I want to read, but then when I get time to read I can't think of or find anything. LOL! To be fair though, there is nothing wrong with reading fanfiction or webtoons. The ratio of garbage to gold is about the same whether it be books or free projects. Or free books. LOL!

Ah, mystery. That's a harder genre than it looks. I've tried writing original mystery before, but it's really difficult to learn everything one needs to know about how the legal system works, how investigating works, etc. Sometimes I try for mystery fanfiction, like my story "Reinvent Yourself", but even then it's not easy. It's easier for me to put plot twists in fics that don't telegraph that there will be a twist. That way it's a surprise to the audience.

Also, I've gotten some great suggestions for other Fables of Cybertron stories. I think this fic will keep me busy for a while

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-27 04:15:16 +0000 UTC]

That's legit me with movies haha. And even when someone asks what my favourite one is, I forget every movie I've ever watched. Oh yeah of course, it's just that I don't read good old regular books as much as I used anymore so I'm aiming to rectify the situation here haha.

Oh gosh, the dreaded legal system. You would never get me to understand something like that, not fully anyway. I always worry when I write a story that I might be a bit uneducated about details for whatever it is that I need to write about. Of course I would research but even then, I might end up misunderstanding or doing something wrong.

Mystery has always intrigued me and it's really fun guessing who the guilty one is and even calling things before it happens. It's a proud moment when you get it right haha. Admittedly, I had no idea who the perpetrator and was in "Reinvent Yourself" but my main suspect was Jazz until his talk with Prowl. Wasn't expecting who it actually was though.

Oh for sure! It must be fun to write.

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-27 04:34:18 +0000 UTC]

I get that. Of course it can be hard to find a story that really connects with you these days. It seems like the publishing industry just wants to churn out adventures and romance with no regard for the lasting impact of a well crafted narrative. Indie publishing can be even worse, since so many indie authors don’t bother to properly edit and format their books, so it looks like they just didn’t care. I went indie for my first novel, but I’m not sure what to do with my next one, whether to do it myself again to keep control of the project or to find a publisher and actually get a wider audience. Tough call.

Yeah, I can see why John Grisham cornered the market on legal drama novels. Nobody else wants to do all the studying required to make novels like that. I tried, but then realized it just wasn’t worth it when I had other easier projects to work on.

Yeah, the most popular guesses were Red Alert and Perceptor, but a few people guessed Jazz. Nobody guessed Wheeljack. Nobody! I honestly was afraid it would be too obvious since I gave him so much screen time, in a manner of speaking. I still need to finish that story.

Yeah, it’s been fun writing “Fables of Cybertron”. I’ve basically turned the Transformers into The Muppet Show. LOL! XD

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-27 09:35:48 +0000 UTC]

I hear you. Stories, whether they are from novels or movies, seem to follow the same direction nowadays. It's as though no one knows how to be original anymore. Too many carbon copies of each other. I get that it requires a lot of thought and planning but, I mean, you want to be rewarded for your hard work and recognised for good thinking. People like to take the easy way out just to get a bit of something. Sequels to movies pop up in my head because that's all I've been seeing so far! You know what the worst part is? People will actually pay money to go see it and it will make money regardless of whether it's good or not, while actual well-written, deserving original scripts get pushed aside. All because it's unfamiliar to us. Pet peeve of mine really. End rant here.

Yeah, there are ways around it without really having to know a lot. I'm trying to learn aerial manoeuvres and what they're used for, not really because I might need it but because I'm actually kind of interested. That helps I guess haha.

Red Alert is a good choice but he's too easy. You wouldn't expect him to be the one and yet he is, if you had chosen it to be him at any rate. He has history with Decepticons as well but only because he was fooled.

And I'm lovin' it! Wildrider at the start just kills me. I'm certain he doesn't care that he's taking up too much room.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-27 09:48:47 +0000 UTC]

Rant on, KP, rant on! I get it. To be fair even something being original doesn’t guarantee it will be good, but it’s a start. I think the most important thing when writing is to care about the audience. Have your own ideas, but at least care how they will be perceived and whether or not they are understood. Admittedly though movies are the worst when it comes to uneven returns. I mean, each Michael Bay “Transformers” movie made hundreds of millions of dollars despite actively insulting the fanbase, meanwhile an indie gem like “Mary and Max” cost a million to make and only received a thousand dollars because it aired once in Australia. It’s just not fair

It’s cool that you actually do the research when writing about your characters. Research used to be one of my favorite parts of writing. Now it’s just a part, but it’s still important. I remember spending hours researching planes trying to pick the perfect alt mode for Q-Boom. I ended up going with a decommissioned Soviet jet because I liked how the missile launchers looked and it seemed small enough for a sparkling to transform into; at least by jet standards.

Yeah, I’ve been having more fun with this silly fables fic than I’ve had writing in a while. I’d almost forgotten how to do a story that was mostly comedy. I even decided to have fun with the author’s notes and turn them into the narrator talking to the play’s patrons instead. LOL! XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-28 03:03:55 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I suppose there's that. Original doesn't always mean good. But caring about what you do and who it's for makes a world of difference, absolutely! Don't even get me started on Micheal Bay, ugh.. Oh no, I'm ashamed to say I've never heard of "Mary and Max". It only looks familiar because I studied claymation in a media class I had but I'm thinking it may have been something else I saw. I love claymation. I have not seen one that was a flop. Granted there probably was but I've never seen it! Coraline has to be one of my favourites.

Oh! Not all the time for me really. It was mostly for one chapter that involves a lot of dodging and fighting in the air. Otherwise, I'm too lazy to do it. By the sound of her adult alt mode she must have looked cool too! I think you said she had spikes haha. Might as well go out on the looks. She's my favourite out of the bunch haha.

Never let go of comedy! It's too good. I have the weirdest sense of humour though, I laugh at almost everything that's meant to be funny. I blame the internet and it's memes. The author's notes was genius!

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-28 04:02:18 +0000 UTC]

Claymation is a medium where they have to try harder, because they're wasting even more time than usual in production. I've seen some great claymation shorts on YouTube, though remembering names is hard because they all mesh together. For years "Mary and Max" was my favorite movie, which is weird because normally I prefer kids and family movies. It was just so raw and dealt with issues I felt I could relate to, especially Max dealing with being autistic and uncomfortable with- okay, I'm giving too much away. Sorry

Yeah, Q-Boom had spikes. I figured go for the dangerous 80s look with her because it fit so well. Honestly, I love all four of my OCs and together they are among my favorites, but Q-Boom probably is my favorite of the four. She was the one I made first, and then after her I created Honey Venom and Terrabyte, and then finally Phobia. Q-Boom has a strong personality though, so I can't help but like her

I'm an easy laugh too, and I spent early this morning looking up Transformers memes on YouTube, so I understand. The cool thing about this new fic is not only do I get to write fractured fairy tales with Transformers, but now I get to make up silly sponsors too!

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-28 10:36:28 +0000 UTC]

This reminds me of the time I made a claymation that was utterly terrible. It was about a rabbit that found and ate carrots that had side effects. One of them blew up upon consumption and somehow he survived. I appreciate the effort that goes into those types of movies, nothing beats it. I'll give "Mary and Max" a go when I get the chance, it really does sound interesting.

That's exactly why I like her too! She's really out there in all the good ways. I wish I were that confident haha. You did well writing out their personalities. They all seem sweet and even clever like most children are and can be.

Memes bring us together in the strangest of ways. Everything creative we do is all in good fun!

You made your own claymation short? That is so cool! I once practiced stop motion fix for the purpose of a paper cutout animation, but I never followed through on it. The fact that you saw it through is quite an accomplishment

My next Cybertronian fable is going to be a parody of "Little Red Riding Hood". Only problem is I'm stumped on which character should play the Cyberwolf. Do you have any ideas?

Yeah but only because I had to. It was for my media class and it was very short and very crappy. I used to do stop motion for fun too but stopped because it took too much of my camera roll haha.

Hm. This guy is really obscure but he did appear in the G1 cartoon at least, so how about Weirdwolf? You could work with his strange speech patterns. I can try think of someone else if he's not to your liking.

My first stop motion was also crummy. It was a red plastic jewel moving along a box of Junior Mints. It was a spontaneous decision to make a stop motion and it only lasted for a few seconds. The lighting was also awful. It looked like I had a 40 watt bulb in the room

Never heard of Weirdwolf. I don't think I can use a character I don't know, but thanks for thinking outside the box. The character I'm leaning toward is Ravage, but then again the character talking might be jarring. Then again other Cybertronians can understand Ravage so maybe not. I dunno

I was really tired and weak today, but I did find time to work on a fic. I went with "The Rat Came Back" because that poor fic is super neglected. I managed to write a third of a chapter, so it's not ready to post, but at least I got something done

Well hey! At least you gave it a go! Camera angles and lighting are always an issue for me too haha.

Ravage is a good choice too, even though I see him more as a feline. But it does remind me of Beast Wars Ravage who does speak.

Sweet! After work I can never be bothered to do anything, which is exactly what is happening now, it suuuucks. So the fact that you were in that state and managed to make something is great. All I can do is add 100 words to my fic and be done for the night haha. No painting or drawing though, even though I want to get something up this week.

Yeah, drawing will always take a back burner when I'm tired too. I drew a little last night, and by that I mean a very little. Like, a torso, some arms, and a bent golf club. LOL! I guess to be fair though writing is easier than drawing for me. That's why my comic updates on deviantart are so slow

With no better candidates Ravage wins the part of the Big Bad Cyberwolf in the Polyhex Playhouse's production of "Red Rider"! LOL! XD

It takes so much effort to draw when you don't wanna. A little bit of drawing everyday is just perfect. I've read that it's a good way to improve. I haven't been able to do it every day though. Take your time! I sometimes stress over not uploading stuff because I imagine I will not be forgiven for it but I know that isn't true.

Congratulations Ravage! How does it feel to be chosen for a role in Polyhex Playhouse? Ravage:

I can't draw everyday either, which is why I don't upload that often on deviantart. Oh well, all we can do is the best we can do

LOL! Yeah, Ravage will make a good wolf, and hopefully Weirdwolf won't be too jealous. LOL! I also decided on Hound to be the hunts mech because he just has that earthy look

Exactly! Do it at your own pace.

There is no better mech than Hound for that role so yes, he's perfect for it. He is a nature dude after all haha.

Hopefully when the new chapter comes out it'll turn out okay

Also, I know I'm replying to a different thread, but I'm glad to hear you're drawing a new Trailbreaker piece! I love it when minor Transformers get some love. What else are you planning, if I may ask?

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-31 05:01:15 +0000 UTC]

I know it will. ^^

In terms of planning but haven't drawn or had ideas for, it would probably be the minibots, conehead seekers, any combiner teams, Mirage, Ironhide... Um, pretty much everyone at some point. The characters that I have drawn already (besides Aerialbots) include Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, Tracks and Sunstreaker, Grimlock and Optimus, Ratchet and First Aid, Blades, Motormaster and Wildrider and Rumble and Frenzy. Huh, I didn't realise how many had more than one character hehe. Most of them aren't full body which disappoints me because I need to do more of those. Feel free to suggest some characters you would like to see!

Those all sound cool! Minibots need more love, and I think the combiner teams are finally getting some love in the fanbase. My two favorite minibots are Gears and Huffer, though I doubt the latter is a surprise considering he was the subject of my first plushie. There are so many cool Transformers to utilize. I haven't gotten to all of them in my writing either, and even when I specifically try to use a character it ends up with mixed results. Either way I look forward to seeing what you come up with

I know, they really do. I just wanna draw everyone and then do it again, and again hahaha. There are so many though, it's hard to give focus to everyone but I'll get there eventually. Good choices! They're underrated too so they will of course gets some love. Thank you! I look forward to see what you come up with for your writing too.

I know! Even just one category of Transformers offers many choices. Even for just minibots there's Bumblebee, Gears, Brawn, Huffer, Seaspray, Beachcomber, Warpath, and Windcharger. That's 8 Transformers in a single category! 9 if we're allowed to count Jazz

Don't forget Powerglide and Cosmos! Jazz a minibot? As far as I was aware, he was Prowl's height? Edit: NO we forgot Cliffjumper! How do we forget Cliffjumper?

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-31 06:13:41 +0000 UTC]

OMG, how did I forget Cosmos? He's one of my favorites! Also, yeah, it's never stated but Jazz was pretty short in the G1 cartoon. The comics made him Prowl's height, but to be fair they pretty much did away with minibots altogether by then. Even Brawn was kinda tall! LOL!

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-31 06:21:43 +0000 UTC]

Hm never thought about it. I always assumed he was just the short end of the taller bots but without being a minibot if that makes sense. I also assumed Brawn was the tallest of the minibots. I don't even know at this point. I'll blame it on the cartoon and it's constant animation errors.

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-31 06:27:57 +0000 UTC]

That's fair. I guess we just don't think of Jazz as a minibot because he isn't a grunt like the rest of them. Minibots tend to be the Autobot version of enlisted mechs. They're in the lower ranks and tend to do the more menial jobs, unlike Jazz who is third or fourth in command, depending on where he ranks in relation to Ironhide. I've always liked that Everyman angle to minibots, which is why I wrote them so often. For over a year now I've considered a oneshot sequel to "On The Warpath", but I've been held back because I can't think of a proper title for it

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2019-12-31 07:35:40 +0000 UTC]

That's a possible explanation. Aw poor minibots. I'm sure they don't care about doing the grunt jobs anyway, as long as they get to pound those Decepticons! I laugh over Cliffjumper's glass gas cannon because of how big it is compared to him and it's just overkill. But who wouldn't expect that of him?

Go for it! More writing is good and it's always nice to see new Transformers content on FF. I always feel like titles come to you after completing the story. That's what I'm doing anyway.

MadnessJones In reply to Kawaiipiika [2019-12-31 13:12:48 +0000 UTC]

LOL! Yeah, that giant cannon is just too much! When I wrote "Window To The World" I had Cliffumper name it because it just seems like the sort of thing he would do. LOL! XD

Well I have to have a working title in order to make a new document file for it. One title I've considered is "The Warpath Less Travelled" but I don't know if that sounds stupid or pretentious. I wanna work his name into the title somehow though, since that's how the last fic was.

Kawaiipiika In reply to MadnessJones [2020-01-01 02:18:52 +0000 UTC]

Aww haha he would do that. I imagine Ironhide does too, or just any mech who love his guns. I think it gives Cliff' more character to him. He might be my favourite minibot actually. I'm also partial to Windcharger. Then again, I love 'em all and you'll never make me choose! Ahhhhh!

Oh I see. That's a tough one. If you like, I can get back to you on any ideas I can think of if you need some?
