Beautiful, these Fall asters are pretty much whats
left in the Rockies also and all over the trails where I live
They give such a nice colour pop to a Fall scene
and of course we know where to find the lingering butterflies
It is dry here too and I am surprised these flowers still survive!

Wild flowers have been gone from my home elevation for several months, but up in the mountains the snow stayed late and they've been getting monsoon type afternoon rains so things are still green and flowering

All our bugs have died from dehydration! Β We have hawks using our birdbath; I'm filling it twice a day!

No bugs at our elevation either - except for yellow jackets

Our yellow-jackets are house broken and live it the attic. Β Sometimes I find them in the kitchen where they meet a sudden, violent death.
