I get asked a lot how I do my textures so here's a small tutorial on how I did this piece. It was really very simple to do and has very few layers.~HanameHime was nice enough to let me use her photo.
Textures are by ~AutumnsGoddess-stox =resurgere stock.xchng
If you have any questions I'll be happy to try and answer them for you, most importantly have fun!

Ok, this is probably going to be the worst noob question ever but, but how do you get the textures to show up in the same layers palette as the photo/drawing/whatever? I've loked everywhere and I can't find it.
Your tutorial was good, it really illustrated how several different textures and effects can be combined. It actually made me want to try my hand at manipulating photos and other pics with textures instead of just for my drawings.

Don't worry about it there are no noob questions!
Do you have Photoshop? Because that tutorial is meant to be used with that program. If you do have Photoshop all you need to do is open the file that you want to put the texture into and also the texture you want to use. Then you simply put your cursor onto the texture and drag it into the other file. You can also "Select All" the texture, copy and paste it into the file if you like.
