and I are launching a Patreon. If you're interested, check it out at www.patreon.com/blackbloodalli…This is the second of an 8 page set from a "preview" scene from the new BBA world. One of these pages will go out every two weeks on Mondays. This is to show you the new art style and format of the webcomic and give you a taste of what's to come.
We hope you will enjoy the preview while we take time to prepare for the release of the beginning pages of the main story arc, scheduled for early 2015.

the old one just looked like she spent more time trying to make sure they were anatomically correct, where as this one just feels more sloppy and careless. I think if the girl who does the backgrounds spends all that time making sure the background looks as awesome as it does, Kay should make sure her characters look just as awesome.

We spent a lot of time on those characters. There's nothing sloppy or careless about anything going in. Everything is purposeful.

If it helps, Fable, all new comics and styles have some growing pains, and no one likes change. There's just the people who accept it and grow to like it, the people who dislike it and grow to like it, and the haters. Good luck on restarting the comic, though! I hope it turns out as big as the original series was!

It's not constructive when you're throwing around words like "lazy". Critique on artwork is one thing, but "lazy" is a character evaluation. If you said that to someone's face in person, how do you think they would react?

It's on our comic page though. That's like spraying graffiti on a building calling out a rival, then getting confused when the business owner is upset about their defaced store front.

This is great as always. The coloring and work is just so clean. The anatomy, I feel has suffered a little bit with this new style, but shows a lot of promise. Keep it up!

We were brain storming ideas for the preview, and kay was like "what if wolf school?" and i was like "just the phrase alone is too hilarious to NOT be canonical". Thus, a comic was born.

Figurines cost a lot of money to make. We have to put down a pretty big chunk of cash to start production. Maybe if our patreon goes well, we'll start up that process. But as it is we don't currently have the capital to cover it (hence why we need the patreon in the first place...we've got too many bills to pay and the money helps us keep focused rather than taking on shitloads of freelance)

Well if I can add a comment to that, I'll say that the 3D effect isn't really comfortable for the eyes. I wondered why my eyes needed to adjust to the image, it felt kind of blurry (which is weird since your lines are sharp).
But it could be just me, since I am shortsighted (I wear glasses even for the computer) and I can't play 3DS at all when in 3D. So yeah.....:/ Better ask if others have the same feeling about 3D effect on art.

I just love how we're thrown into the story by Cricket's goofiness. It feels just like being there among the pups listening to gramps lecturing about :'D I like how he leans forward as he speaks.

I love the way everything fits, composition on the panel seems fluid and nice, everything looks so clean and... I've always loved Fable's backgrounds!
After reading this page, I think I got an idea of what's happening on the frames previews, I'm really excited !!
Anyway, if you don't mind some criticism, I'd say I found a bit hard to find continuity between first and this page, probably because of the whole angle change. Also, I find the branch Blood is hidding barely noticeable at first, and I got confused when the old guy, still named Grayback? mentioned it.
But maybe I'm just cranky...

I'm really likin' this, though (and I'm sure I'm the only person who will ever say this) I'm starting to fear it will become a silly, goofy comic, and not as serious as the original. I mean... the whole thing of how the characters all look different. I mean, I kinda like it, don't get me wrong, and believe me, I love comedy. But, I never thought of this as having the different looks thing.
But what am I saying? This is your creation, and I can't change it.

We're hoping to have more humorous moments because that's where you find opportunity to breathe in a story (as constant drama is a drag). It's hard to punctuate seriousness as being important and worthy of attention if you don't have contrasting moments in between. But yes, the comic will still have serious undertones. Just a little looser and happier with humor too.
Think like how Pixar does stories. Every movie has very funny moments, but incredibly serious and poignant moments too. They exist in balance.
But will it be Saturday morning Spongebob-esque cartoon? No, that wouldn't get the story across.
