One of these pages will go out every two weeks on Mondays. This is to show you the new art style and format of the webcomic and give you a taste of what's to come.
We hope you will enjoy the preview while we take time to prepare for the release of the beginning pages of the main story arc, scheduled for early 2015.

I agree with Fable that we are seeking a balance. the beginning of the old BBA's tone was altogether too constantly intense/serious. I feel like in later pages, when we allowed "room to breathe" and i injected some lighter moments, it was altogether better work.

They've hardly scratched the surface of this new version of the BBA. As someone who still has her original copy of their original printed BBA comic book, as someone who has followed along with this comic since it started, as someone who has always been an admirer, and as someone who was inspired to have the courage to publicly expose her own comic because of Kay, because of Fable, because of so many inspirational small time comic artists out there over the past many years, I can assure you, you are judging the comic far too quickly, and not giving it enough room to even grow. They've not even launched the comic yet, just previews and Easter Eggs and you're already making assumptions? Please do not jump into a comic with bitterness. It's a free adventure, what's not to love?
Perhaps Kay and Fable also want to take things slower this time, give the readers more of a chance to get to know the characters before they rush into the storyline -which would also mean that the book is going to be thicker, deeper, more character AND background character involved, special in many ways. It's easier to become attached to to more than just the main characters that way, and from this page alone that's what I felt it was hinting at. I have a pretty good feeling from the amount of time and effort that Kay and Fable are putting into this work right now before the launch, that they are really trying very hard to make the world they've created as beautiful as possible. Give them a chance with more than just the sneak peaks they've given us.
I was depressed when Kay and Fable stopped working on the BBA, because I felt they were giving up a dream but it was THEIR dream and dreams can change. I see now that it has, and it's turned into something more involved and truly shows that they never stopped loving this brainchild. It makes me so happy to know they are preparing to launch it again. I'll never forget the inspiration they gave me, I'll never forget when Fable helped me through notes on perspective advice -for FREE on her own time. I'll never forget receiving my issue of the BBA in the mail and my excitement. They are small time, just two gals working on a headworld and they did it. They made a dream a reality.
Above anything, appreciate that they are sharing this world for free, so I think with that, we owe it to them to let them decide where they want to go with the story and give them plenty of room to grow with it. I'm pretty sure, you're going to like this version a whole lot, just a feeling

Im not a fan of pure-goof comics/cartoons myself, so empathize with the OPs preference of not wanting to see the BBA become that. But like you say, it is early.
We also picked a particularly "fun" scene for the preview because anything too "serious" would require context in order for it to be appreciated - and that context could threaten spoilers!

This is definitely /not/ going to be "silly" or "goofy" by the looks of it. Kay Fedewa is rebooting because she's maturing as an artist/storyteller. This is her way of introducing the comic, not getting right into the plot, which is actually what you should do as an author! Her style has become more expressive, and the faces on all of the characters are believable. It is a Must have in the comic world for different facial expressions to tell the story better and understand the mood of the character. Her old designs for the characters were much less proffesional, even "sparkle-y," and her new designs are more realistic, but also staying pretty close to their original designs.
All in all, I don't think you'll be disappointed. (:

I feel like there's a 3-D effect to this somehow. However I look at it, it seems like the lines are really faintly in 3-D!! I like how it's going so far ^o^

^^, happy to see this comic alive again. Liked the old version too but the new version is even better, it seems more colorful and the characters have more..well *character* ;D, its easy to distinguish them even with their more natural color and pelts. Even Swift and Blood fit in among all the browns and greys there 
All in all, good job at moving on from the generic sparkle wolf comics and making something different and even more awesome ;D.
The only thing I dont like about this page (and the first too) is the slight 3D effect..It kinda makes the whole thing slightly blurry and its annoying to stare at for too long. The blurry effect on the far off objects and the things that arent on focus is a nice touch tho, it creates a nice sense of depth ^^.

Well that would be your decision since its your comic and all, but personally I find it *eye-watering* to look at ;D, no offence. It might be better if it were at only some parts of the page and not the whole thing, like closer objects or blurry parts..just a thought there :3.
Sry for being annoying or something, comics are a shitload of work and its such a bother to go back and fix things XD...
